U.S. Olympian Shani Davis Injects Race Into Coin Toss that Decided U.S. Olympic Flag-Bearer

An African American skater on the U.S. Olympic team is angry about the results of a coin toss that was used to decide whether he, or a white female skater, would represent the U.S. in the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics this week in Peyongchang, South Korea. In a Thursday tweet, champion speed skater Shani Davis — who is black —injected race into the coin flip decision over which athlete would carry the U.S. flag during the opening ceremonies. Earlier this week, U.S. Luger Erin Hamlin — who is white — was chosen to carry the flag from among a group of U.S athletes. However, Davis, who was also one of the finalists, included the hashtag #BlackHistoryMonth2018 in a tweet. After listing several of his accomplishments, which he believes, should have made him the flag-bearer. “I am an American and when I won the 1000m in 2010 I became the first American to 2-peat in that event. @TeamUSA dishonorably tossed a coin to decide its 2018 flag bearer. No problem. I can wait until 2022,” he wrote on February 8. Davis’ status as an American and his accomplishments as an Olympian, are not in dispute. Though, one has to wonder why he included the Black History Month hashatg, in his tweet. Unless of course, Davis is alleging race played a factor in the decision. If he is, this might be the first racially-motivated coin toss in the history of the Olympics. Hamlin and Davis were among eight athletes being considered to carry the flag in the opening ceremony, ESPN reported. But the voting for the finalist deadlocked between the final two athletes and as previously agreed upon by all participants a coin toss was used to break the tie. That coin toss went Hamlin’s way. But on the day after the announcement of Hamlin’s selection, it appears that Davis is unhappy with the results and feels he is more entitled to carry the flag than Hamlin. As ESPN noted, Davis has a history of throwing tantrums, and this is not the first time he has caused an Olympic controversy. “In 2006, Davis — the first African-American to win an individual gold medal at a Winter Games — decided not to take part in the team pursuit at the Turin Games and raised the ire of teammate Chad Hedrick,” ESPN reported. “Their animosity toward each other was obvious at a news conference, when Hedrick brought up the team pursuit and Davis stormed out of the room.”

Shani is an obnoxious, entitlement-minded, spoiled brat…and an embarrassment to Team USA.  And his shamelessly playing the race card over a COIN TOSS is beyond ridiculous and shows how much of an immature, whiny little child he is.  By EXTREME contrast…  Congrats to Erin!  We look forward to seeing her carry our flag tomorrow night in the opening ceremonies.  Go Team USA!!!    🙂

Kenyon College Cancels Play About Immigration; Starts ‘Whiteness Group’

“Today is the end of [liberal education at Kenyon College],” Fred Baumann, a professor of political science at Kenyon, proclaimed last week to a panel and its audience. The panel had been convened to discuss the retraction of professor and playwright Wendy MacLeod’s latest play, The Good Samaritan. MacLeod’s work had been circulated to the students and community, with the intention of production in early April. The show centers on the experiences of Guatemalan illegal immigrants working only a few dozen miles away from Kenyon on an egg farm. As MacLeod explained in an email to the campus about the play, these characters “had been working without pay and living in dire conditions.” The Good Samaritan is based on a true story and MacLeod attempted to unearth it in her work, to, with humor, in her words, “[bring] the repressed to light.” Her play posits, satirically, what might happen if one of these illegal immigrants escaped from the egg farm and found their way to a school like Kenyon. Following the circulation of the play’s transcript, brigades of students, joined by some professors and campus administrators, pressured for the play to be censored. They justified such censorship on the grounds that it was “harmful on many levels.” One student emailed the administration and faculty complaining about the race of MacLeod, the author: “I personally take issue with The Good Samaritan because it’s yet another narrative written about a person of color from the uninformed perspective of a white academic.” He claimed that the play was “an exercise in cultural hegemony with heavy notes of white savior complex.” In the Kenyon student newspaper one professor claimed that after reading The Good Samaritan “she has identified 40 instances of ethnic insensitivity.” Among the charges of insensitivity might be a character’s name “Juan Deere” and improperly-rendered Spanish, which at times, resembles Italian. A teaching associate went a good deal further, calling the play “unapologetically racist and mocking. . . . It is an act of violence, dehumanizing and degrading the suffering that immigrants endure in coming to this country, and the many acts of racism and violence that members of the Latinx community endure every day, including on this campus.” She declared that “this play has no place on our campus. I call on the college leadership to responsibly answer the concerns of students and faculty, and withdraw it from production.” But the college leadership didn’t have to do anything, because MacLeod decided to censor herself. MacLeod canceled the production, she says, “out of respect for the concerns of students and members of the faculty.” She insisted this move was “solely my decision as the administration has supported the principles of freedom of expression.” Which then led Kenyon’s president, Sean Decatur, to invite students to the panel discussion in order “to participate in the conversation, and to play an active role in shaping the discourse” surrounding the play and its retraction. Evidently discussions are acceptable only after the mob has gotten its witch. The Good Samaritan’s retraction comes serendipitously at the same moment as the creation of a new student group at Kenyon: “the whiteness group.” The group was founded by a student, Juniper Cruz, and is notable not just for its name, but for its rules, which state that “no white person can ask a person of color questions; white people must try to answer their questions for themselves. And no spreading rumors about what people say during the meetings.” If you were going to set out to create a more illiberal student group possible at a college, you would be hard-pressed to do so. And as for Baumann’s suggestion that liberal education was finished at Kenyon, he’s certainly on to something. Following the panel where Baumann made his stand, one student took to Facebook, saying that if liberal education “necessitates the silencing of marginalized communities, the protection of racism, and our complicity with both, then let the damned thing die.”

Americans who practice yoga contribute to white supremacy, Michigan State University professor claims

White people who do a downward-facing dog are contributing to a “system of power, privilege, and oppression,” according to a Michigan State University professor. Shreena Gandhi, a religious studies professor at Michigan State, claims in an article she recently co-authored that Americans who practice yoga are contributing to white supremacy and promote the “yoga industrial complex.” White Americans should learn yoga’s history, acknowledge the cultural appropriation they engage in and possibly reduce the cost of yoga classes for poor people, a group that often includes people of color and “recent immigrants, such as Indian women to whom this practice rightfully belongs,” Gandhi argued. She co-authored the piece titled “Yoga and the Roots of Cultural Appropriation,” with Lillie Wolff, a self-described “anti-racist white Jewish organizer, facilitator, and healer,” who has called for “decolonizing” yoga, the College Fix reported. The two argued “the explosion of yoga studios, yoga video, apps, yoga pants, and other yoga swag over the last two decades is evidence” of the “(mis)appropriation of yoga” that “is part of systemic racism” built on “the labor of black people and people of the global south.” “We would argue one of the goals of white supremacy is to buffer white people from the pain that comes from the process of exchanging cultural grounding for the unearned power and privilege of whiteness,” they wrote. “…this modern-day trend of cultural appropriation of yoga is a continuation of white supremacy and colonialism, maintaining the pattern of white people consuming the stuff of culture that is convenient and portable, while ignoring the well-being and liberation of Indian people.”

Where do these people come from?  Now doing exercises is racist.  What a moron..

FLASHBACK: When Jesse Jackson Praised President Trump For ‘Being Inclusive’

Leading up to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, race hustler Jesse Jackson blasted President Trump for his alleged “s***hole” comments regarding other countries. “The language of Donald Trump has been a source of shame for our nation. Humiliation and untruth,” Jackson said last Friday at the Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland. “It’s flat-out ignorance, the American public deserves better,” Jackson said. “But you get what you vote for, and what you don’t vote for. 2018 will be a chance to make a difference if we vote our hopes and not our fears.” Jackson also referred to Trump as a “racist” who is a “weapon of mass destruction,” which is weird to say the least, because when Trump was a private citizen and used his billions to help black communities, the real estate mogul had the praise of none other than Jesse Jackson. Back in 1998 and 1999, Trump worked with Jackson’s Rainbow/PUSH coalition to help offer a way to get African Americans into corporate America and improve their communities through building projects and jobs. Jackson praised Trump’s savvy business aplomb not once, but twice. “We need your building skills, your gusto, your [unintelligible] for people on Wall Street to represent diversity, and we thank you for coming tonight. Let’s give Donald Trump a big hand,” Jackson said at an event captured by C-SPAN cameras. At another event a year later, Jackson introduced his “friend” and thanked Trump for giving blacks a “face” on Wall Street. “When we opened this Wall Street project and we talked about it, you gave us face at 40 Wall Street, which was to make a statement about our having a presence there,” said Jackson. “Beyond that in terms of reaching out and being inclusive, he’s done that, too.” Jackson also applauded Trump’s “will to make things better” for the “underserved communities.” In addition, Jackson thanked Trump for meeting with him in 1984 and in 1988 when he ran for president at a time when the United States would’ve found the idea of a black president “laughable.” When Trump got up to speak at that event, he praised the skilled workmanship of blacks and other minorities. How times have changed.

Indeed..  To see the video of ol’ Jesse praising “The Donald” back then, just click on the text above.  One of the things we love to do here at The Daily Buzz is to show brazen hypocrisy.  Jesse Jackson is more than just an opportunistic race hustler.  He’s a self-serving, self-righteous, extreme liberal/socialist, hypocritical black racist.  Jesse is as bad as it gets.  We’re happy to show just how much of a nauseating hypocrite he is.  What a loser..

Meritocracy is a ‘tool of whiteness,’ claims college math professor

A math education professor at Brooklyn College contends in a recent academic article that “meritocracy” in math classes is a “tool of whiteness.” Laurie Rubel implicates both meritocracy and “color-blindness” as ideological precepts that hold back racial minorities from succeeding in math classes in an article for the peer-reviewed Journal of Mathematics Education. Rubel, who taught high school math for nine years before becoming a professor, argues that while meritocracy is commonly linked to hard work and talent, it also “functions as a tool of whiteness” because it “ignores systemic barriers and institutional structures that prevent opportunity and success.” Color-blindness, too, can be an issue for math teachers, according to Rubel, who asserts that “Teachers who claim color-blindness—that is, they claim to not notice the race of their students—are, in effect, refusing to acknowledge the impact of enduring racial stratification on students and their families. “By claiming not to notice, the teacher is saying that she is dismissing one of the most salient features of the child’s identity and that she does not account for it in her curricular planning and instruction,” Rubel adds, citing education theorist Gloria Ladson-Billings. Even math teachers who acknowledge race, such as those who indicate that they “can’t relate” in certain ways to students who are of a different race, are called out in Rubel’s paper. If math teachers notice racial differences between themselves and their students, Rubel elaborates, “those differences are typically cast in terms of deficit constructions about students, their places, and their families.” To mediate this, Rubel recommends that math teachers incorporate more social justice issues into math lessons, but warns that even “teaching for social justice” can be a “tool of whiteness” if teachers are not sufficiently attuned to the experiences of minority students. This is because even social justice-minded professors may inadvertently hold the “belief that effort is always rewarded, [which corresponds] to various tools of whiteness, like the myths of meritocracy and colorblindness,” Rubel writes.

Wow..  Well, as least this nauseating professor actually admits that she thinks math teachers…MATH teachers… should teach so-called “social justice.”  That, of course has NO business in the math classroom, nor does math (or any of the hard sciences, for that matter) have ANYTHING to do with race.  That’s ridiculous bs.  2+2=4.  Pi is: 3.14159.   Fractions, square roots, algebra, geometry, chemistry, trig, biology, and so on are what they are.  There is nothing racial or social about any of it. And, if your kid has a teacher that thinks otherwise, and who tries to use their classroom to fill your kids head with that type of politically correct nonsense, then yank them out of that class and get another teacher, or another school immediately! Otherwise, your kid will grow up to be a useless idiot unable to get a job.  Here’s a Newsflash for Ms. Rubel, and others that share her belief system..  Employers (and most colleges) don’t care how you feel about how oppressed you may be.  They care that you can add, subtract, multiply, divide, read a clock that isn’t digital, be on time for work/class, etc.  Teaching them otherwise, just sets them up for failure.

BuzzFeed slammed for ‘bigoted piece of filth’ article claiming white people ruin America

BuzzFeed is being slammed for a racially charged article it published Wednesday titled, “37 Things White People Need To Stop Ruining In 2018,” which lists “America” among the things that whites are supposedly tarnishing. “This article isn’t funny, it’s racist—plain and simple. If a similar piece was written about any other ethnicity, the journalist would be fired on the spot. It undoubtedly would spark public outrage, and rightfully so” conservative commentator Britt McHenry told Fox News. BuzzFeed staff writer Patrice Peck put together a listicle of things she feels that Caucasians have ruined, which features everything from macaroni and cheese to makeup. She blames supermodel Bella Hadid for ruining sneaker culture by talking about shoes like an “undercover cop.” Peck’s story didn’t take much work, as she simply embedded tweets, comments and headlines written by other people in an attempt to make her point that white people are ruining America. Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor told Fox News that “openly liberal media have finally outed themselves” and left-leaning media members think “it’s OK to be racist or sexist, as long as their targets are white and male” with conservative values. “The easy test of this is try imagining a bigoted piece of filth like this being written about any other group. Picture the ‘37 Things Black People Need To Stop Ruining In 2018’ headline and then wait for Twitter to shut down your account,” Gainor said. Gainor called BuzzFeed “openly bigoted” but said “major media will let them get it away it” because many would-be critics are just as guilty. “Instead of hating white people, maybe Buzzfeed should thank them. The unemployment rate remains at a 17-year low, and the economy grew last quarter at its fastest pace since 2015. Minorities, including Hispanics and Blacks, are seeing historic lows in unemployment across the country,” McHenry said. Outkick founder and media watchdog Clay Travis echoed McHenry’s feelings about the article, tweeting, “If this is written about any other race every advertiser bails on company & a ton of people are fired.” The story also claims that Kendall Jenner ruined protests, wealthy people have ruined “trees” by installing anti-bird spikes, white Hollywood ruined the Oscars, Adele beating Beyoncé for an award ruined the Grammys and one particular white woman ruined the hit Migos song “Bad and Boujee” simply by posting a video of herself singing along. In fact, Peck says white people ruined the word “boujee” all together. Peck blames white people who voted for President Trump as the ones who have ruined America. She even charges a group of non-Koreans who started a K-Pop band have ruined that genre of music. The list goes on to mention a handful of other hip-hop songs that white people have destroyed by performing – complete with video of a white girl who apparently dislocated her knee while attempting the “Hit Dem Folks” dance. The BuzzFeed staffer also says white people have ruined “any challenge,” “car freestyles” and even hip-hop music in general – which is backed up by a tweet showcasing the amount of white people who currently have hits on iTunes. But Peck doesn’t only think white people ruined rap music, she also lists “classics,” using the Destiny’s Child song “Say My Name” as an example because white actresses Debby Ryan and Ashley Tisdale dared to cover it. The racially insensitive post also claims white people have ruined “childhoods” and links to video of an elderly woman in an argument over a child selling candy outside of a department store. To end the piece, Peck blames white people for ruining the ability to identify as Filipino and black, with links to stories about white people who identify as non-white races. “Eliminating racism means eliminating all commentary like this. Nobody can help the color of their skin,” McHenry said. “Why make fun of people for that? So, Buzzfeed, leave the ‘comedy’ to real comedians.” A BuzzFeed spokesperson told Fox News that it is “important to distinguish entertainment content from News” and declined further comment.

Of course..  Because Buzzfeed is garbage.  In the interest of full disclosure, we have in previous years posted articles, on occasion, from Buzzfeed.  After this, and their “breaking story” regarding the infamously discredited so-called “Trump dossier,” we will no longer do so.  Two strikes, and they’re out!  Patrice Peck is an openly, brazen black racist.  Buzzfeed should fire her immediately, along with whatever editor(s) who allowed her column to be posted, and apologize publicly for such an offensive and breathtaking lack of judgement.

Farmers’ markets a racially biased cause of ‘environmental gentrification,’ professors say

Two California professors are criticizing farmers’ markets for causing “environmental gentrification” in which “habits of white people are normalized.” San Diego State University geography professors Pascale Joassart-Marcelli and Fernando J. Bosco contend that farmers’ markets are “white spaces” oppressing minorities in a chapter for “Just Green Enough,” an environmental anthology focused on urban development. Environmental gentrification is defined as a process where “environmental improvements lead to … the displacement of long-term residents,” according to the anthology. The professors, as reported by Campus Reform, say farmers’ markets are “exclusionary” because locals cannot “afford the food and/or feel excluded from these new spaces.” The SDSU professors, who teach classes like “Geography of Food” and “Food Justice,” argue that “farmers’ markets are often white spaces where the food consumption habits of white people are normalized.” While such markets are typically set up to help combat “food deserts” in low-income and minority communities, the academics argue that they instead “attract households from higher socio-economic backgrounds, raising property values and displacing low-income residents and people of color.” “The most insidious part of this gentrification process is that alternative food initiatives work against the community activists and residents who first mobilized to fight environmental injustices and provide these amenities but have significantly less political and economic clout than developers and real estate professionals,” the professors argue. They claim that, while “curbing gentrification is a vexing task,” the negative externalities of “white habitus” formed at farmers’ markets can be managed through “slow and inclusive steps that balance new initiatives and neighborhood stability to make cities ‘just green enough.’” Joassart-Marcelli and Bosco received funding from the National Science Foundation to research “the role of food in structuring everyday life in immigrant and low-income urban neighborhoods.”

..which you and I paid for.  That’s your hard-earned tax dollars at work…NOT!  You’re welcome, guys.  What a bunch of mind-numbing psychobabble!!  I love going to the farmer’s markets here locally each summer.  And, one of my favorite ones is in downtown Denver.  For those of you who live locally in the greater Denver area, it’s off of Colfax and right in front of East High School; an inner city Denver Public School (DPS) high school…not exactly in the burbs.  And, when I’m there I see people of ALL ages, both genders, and ALL ethnicities.  So, this study by a couple anti-white, racist professors in California shows just how out-of-touch with reality these pointy-headed electoids really are.  Farmer’s markets are set up by local vendors to simply sell their produce and other wares.  Yes, sometimes they set them up in the burbs or in middle-to-upper income areas.  Absolutely.  That’s called BUSINESS.  Imagine that?!  But, other times, they set them up in urban areas as well, and their customers are from ALL walks of life and socioeconomic circumstances.  What a bunch of self-loathing, racist, offensive idiots!  Parents;  If you have kids in their classes, yank ’em out quick!  Unreal..
