NBC News star Andrea Mitchell slammed for citing wrong law when attempting to bash White House

NBC News star Andrea Mitchell is under fire for citing the wrong law when attempting to attack the White House amid its Twitter feud with Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris. On Monday, the White House targeted Harris and Warren individually on Twitter, accusing Harris of “supporting the animals of MS-13” and Warren of “supporting criminals moving weapons, drugs and victims across our nation’s borders.” Mitchell attempted to defend the Democratic leaders, but it didn’t go so well. “Re: White House tweets attacking Senators: Section 1352(a) of Title 31: No part of the money appropriated by any enactment of Congress shall … be used directly or indirectly to pay for any … written matter … intended or designed to influence in any manner a Member of Congress,” the NBC star tweeted. Law & Crime reporter Ronn Blitzer wrote that the statute Mitchell named has “nothing to do” with the situation and “doesn’t even include the language she quoted.” Former Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub responded to Mitchell’s tweet on Tuesday morning. “The text of that tweet comes from 18 USC 1913, not 31 USC 1352. And 1913 has been interpreted too narrowly to be useful here,” Shaub wrote. Blitzer wrote that Shaub “is by no means a fan of the current administration,” but pointed out that the former ethics chief noted “the language Mitchell quoted didn’t match the law she cited.” But “even the correct law didn’t apply, didn’t mean anything in this situation.” In addition to Blitzer and Shaub, many critics took to Twitter to call out the NBC veteran for spreading dishonest information. Last month, Mitchell got roasted on Twitter when her own tweet exposed her rooting interest in the dust-up between Trump and the Philadelphia Eagles. After Trump canceled a White House visit from the Super Bowl champs, the Peacock Network’s chief foreign affairs correspondent reacted with the cheerleading message, “Fly #Eagles Fly!!!” Mitchell’s hot take stood out because she is supposed to be a nonpartisan reporter for a major network news division. It was far from the first time that she has been accused of openly leaning left. Mitchell, who is married to former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, and Hillary Clinton are known to be close friends who have publicly praised each other. Mitchell said that Clinton “proved her commander-in-chief bona fides in terms of being tough as a gender issue” during the pregame show for an NBC News town hall event in 2016. “I love you, Andrea. You are indefatigable. You’re my kind of woman,” Clinton said, while pointing at Mitchell during a 2016 press conference on the campaign trail. Trump has referred to Mitchell as “Hillary Clinton’s PR person,” and White House social media director Dan Scavino once said she was a Democratic “PR person,” too. Earlier this year, the NBC News veteran was criticized for publicly offering advice to FBI official Andrew McCabe after he was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Andrea’s extreme liberal bias is well-documented.  She doesn’t even try to hide it.  Yet she dishonestly portrays herself as a nonpartisan reporter for NBC News.  And people wonder why Trump refers to her, and others in the dominantly liberal media mainstream media, as “fake news.”

NBC’s Lester Holt ripped for saying he’s been ‘treated with respect’ in North Korea

NBC News anchor Lester Holt is facing backlash on social media after he said he and his crew were “treated with respect” by North Korean officials during their trip to the Masikryong Ski Resort in the totalitarian country. Mr. Holt was reporting Monday from the ski slopes where athletes from North Korea and South Korea will train for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. NBC News cameras showed dozens of colorful and seemingly cheerful North Koreans enjoying the “bunny slope” as Mr. Holt described his crew’s experience traveling to the Hermit Kingdom from Beijing. “This is the bunny slope at a very modern ski resort here in North Korea,” Mr. Holt said. “We’re here because some of the athletes from the South and North, based on this new alliance, will be doing some of their training here. It’s been announced the North Koreans will field 22 athletes in the upcoming Winter Games in South Korea. That’s fueling some sense of hope and optimism of cooperation in other ways between the two countries.” “We arrived in North Korea on Saturday, we flew the North Korean state airline,” Mr. Holt continued. “It’s about an hour and a half flight from Beijing, they even make an announcement in flight when you eventually cross the border into North Korea. We quickly passed through immigrations, went through a very lengthy and very detailed customs inspection of not only our equipment but our personal items down to the novels we were reading, even in one case, a toothbrush of our crew members. “But we have been treated with respect here,” he added. “We had been invited and are guests of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We stayed in a guest house outside Pyongyang last night and then made our way to this ski resort to get a look at a part of North Korea that most Americans don’t see and certainly a part they would like us to see.” The Masikryong Ski Resort, built by North Korean soldiers and civilians in just 10 months, is a pet project by dictator Kim Jong-un to create the illusion of wealth and prestige in the impoverished nation. NBC News reported last January that men, women and children — some as young as 11 and 12 — are tasked with shoveling snow at the luxury resort where trucks and snowplows are virtually nonexistent. Mr. Holt was accused of peddling regime propaganda.

..which is exactly what he did.  What a moron!  I’m sure Kim Jong Ding Dong is laughing his way to the local communist propaganda print shop.  Thanks a lot, Lester..

NBC Made Payment To Staffer After Sexual Harassment Claim Against Chris Matthews

An MSNBC spokesman confirmed Saturday the company made a separation-related payment to one of Chris Matthews employees after the woman complained about sexual harassment. Two sources familiar with the situation told The Daily Caller that Matthews paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. An MSNBC spokesperson contested that claim to the Caller, saying the company instead paid significantly less as part of a severance package. The woman complained to CNBC executives about Matthews making inappropriate comments and jokes about her while in the company of others. The MSNBC spokesman said that they thoroughly reviewed the situation at the time and that Matthews received a formal reprimand. Based on people who were involved in the matter, the network concluded that the comments were inappropriate and juvenile but were not intended to be taken as propositions. The woman received separation-related compensation when she left MSNBC and has gone on to work in a number of high-profile media positions. MSNBC declined to comment on whether the employee left because of Matthews or whether this was the only claim in Matthews’ history at the company. Matthews has been the host of “Hardball” since 1997 and also hosted “The Chris Matthews Show” from 2002 to 2013. He is the latest in a string of high-profile men in media to be accused of sexual misconduct, particularly at NBC.

Some enterprising journalist really needs to get up in Chris’ face and ask him about this….on camera.  It’s time we held these self-righteous, obnoxious, liberal, hypocrites feet to the fire.

Nolte: A Media Week of Fake News, Homophobia, Perverts, Enablers, and Resistance

As though we do not already have enough proof that the American media is nothing less than a rolling clown car packed with deviants, sycophants, and propagandists, in His infinite wisdom and generosity, the Good Lord used all of last week to reveal once again just who these terrible people truly are. Are we at a point yet where “BrianRossing” is now a verb that describes a left-wing reporter (but I repeat myself) rushing before a network news camera to spread flat-out lies? Or maybe “BrianRossing” should be used to describe the consequences of that behavior — such as a month off to enjoy the holidays. Back in 2012, Ross, a marquee reporter for ABC, could not wait to falsely blame a Tea Partier for a horrific mass-shooting in a Colorado movie theater. Fast-forward to last Friday, and this very same Ross could not wait to tell the world that candidate Trump issued orders to get in touch with the Russians — which would prove Trump must be impeached for colluding with said Russians. The only problem is that none of that was true. Nevertheless, ABC News took all day, seven full hours, before issuing a “clarification.” Not a retraction or correction — a clarification. Did I mention that ABC’s fake news tanked the stock market? Between 2007-2009, in what is unquestionably the most blatant and inexcusable act of homophobia attached to any single person currently working in the legitimate media, NBC’s Joy Reid — who anchors a show at MSNBC but has appeared on NBC News programs like Meet the Press — authored somewhere around a dozen articles that committed two breathtaking sins… 1) Without any proof, she outed then-Republican Florida Governor Charlie Crist as gay. 2) The left-wing Reid ridiculed and demeaned Crist for being gay. Writing for her online Reid Report, and hurling nicknames like “Miss Charlie,” the NBC News star repeatedly and mercilessly attempted to denigrate Crist over his sexuality. She even questioned his marriage: “Now that he’s married to a girl,” Reid wrote, “Charlie Crist is being sought out for all KINDS of good stuff… [The GOP] are wooing Miss Charlie to run.” “I can just see poor Charlie on the honeymoon, ogling the male waiters and thinking to himself, ‘god, do I actually have to see her naked…?’,” she added. Naturally, after getting caught by the left-wing Mediaite, Reid apologized Monday, and because her politics are “correct,’ that apology will be good enough for a mainstream media that has no scruples, decency, or integrity. But in an effort to save Reid, a cherished member of the anti-Trump Resistance, no one wants to discuss the full context of her monstrous behavior. At the time, Reid’s homophobic attacks on Crist were all part of a concerted effort on the left to kill his presidential aspirations. After 2008, this smear campaign went nuclear to protect Barack Obama’s re-election chances. Because Crist was seen as a comer, an inevitable 2012 presidential candidate, and the popular governor of a crucial swing state, the left went so far as to produce and release a theatrical documentary as a means to (falsely) out him as gay. Moreover, Reid was not some young, immature blogger when she did this. Rather, she was a 40 year-old woman with more than ten years of journalism under her belt. Again, Crist, who is now a Democrat congressman, has been married twice, both times to women. There is absolutely no proof he is a homosexual. This was a straight-up smear campaign. Regardless, no one at NBC News will ever again have the moral authority to lecture anyone about anything, much less homophobia.

President Trump Shuts Down Reporter’s Gun Control Stump Speech in South Korea

President Trump shut down a reporter’s gun control stump speech in South Korea on Tuesday. He did so when NBC News’ Ali Vitali asked if he would support more gun control for would-be gun purchasers. She said, “You’ve talked about wanting to put extreme vetting on people trying to come into the United States, but I wondered if you’d consider extreme vetting for people trying to buy a gun?” Trump responded by questioning the appropriateness of the question, given that it was being asked just two days after the heinous Texas attack as well as the fact that it was being asked during a press conference in South Korea. He then quickly dismissed calls for more gun control and went on to praise Americans’ ability to use guns to stop attacks like the one in Texas. In so doing, Trump stressed that gun control carries with it the threat of making it difficult for law-abiding citizens to get the guns they need to defend themselves and others. He said, “[With more gun control] you might not have had that very brave person who happened to have a gun or a rifle in his truck, go out and shoot [the attacker], and hit him, neutralize him.” Similar sentiment was expressed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) on November 6. During an interview by Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, Paxton said, “What ultimately may have saved some lives is … people that were outside the church that actually had guns that may have slowed this guy down and actually pursued him. So I would rather arm law-abiding citizens and make sure that they can prevent this from happening as opposed to trying to pass laws that would prevent law-abiding citizens from having guns.”

Kasich: Trump, Bannon Agenda ‘Is Not What’ the Republican ‘Party Is’

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) said the executive chairman of Breitbart News Steve Bannon targeting Republican senators to help ensure President Donald Trump’s agenda was being moved forward is pushing policy that was “not what the party is.” Partial transcript as follows: TODD: There seems to be a massive battle inside this Republican party. Steve Bannon yesterday declared it a season of war against the Republican establishment, singling out people like Bob Corker in particular, and thought it was outrageous he cared to criticize the president. What do you make of what Steve Bannon is doing to the Republican party? KASICH: I was on a show not long ago saying I’m disappointed in the direction of the Republican party. They cannot be anti-trade or anti-immigrant. They just can’t walk away from increasing debt. The Republican party can’t go out and start grabbing people out of their homes who have been really good people living in this country and shipping them out of the country willy-nilly or taking away health care for millions of people. This is not what the party is. Look, I grew up in the Reagan era. Here’s what it was. It was sunny. It was positive, inclusive. It was a big tent, and there was room for everybody. Pro-growth, all the things that we really like. Connectivity, welcoming, that’s where this party needs to be. When we don’t head in that direction, I’m going to fight to push us in that direction.

I remember back when John Kasich was in Congress and was a positive advocate for balancing the federal budget.  Now, he’s just a disgruntled whiner, since he lost in the primaries to Trump.  So, he spends more and more time on liberal news outlets like CNN complaining about the direction of the Republican Party and hinting that he might leave.  What a sore loser!!  Last I checked, the stock market is through the roof, unemployment is at historic lows, and we’re rolling back the big government programs that Obama and hist fascist regime put in place.  Plus, take a good look at who Trump has nominated for federal judges.  John’s not only a sore loser..  He’s jealous.

Tucker Carlson: NBC News President Should Resign or Be Fired Immediately

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson ripped NBC News head Noah Oppenheim for the claim his organization “encouraged” Ronan Farrow to report out the sexual harassment allegations aimed at Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. Carlson explained why NBC News was “lying” about two facets of its claim, noting Farrow’s remarks explaining why he took the story to The New Yorker magazine instead of having had NBC News run it. “So let’s be clear – NBC is lying,” Carlson said. “Yesterday, news division head Noah Oppenheim claimed NBC, quote ‘encouraged Farrow to report that story.” The opposite is true. They pressured him to drop it. Oppenheim says, quote ‘NBC gave him resources to report the story over many, many months.’ Maybe except for a camera crew when Farrow tried to interview an alleged rape victim. Oppenheim says, quote ‘Farrow’s story was not the story we were looking at when we made our judgment.’ Yet another lie. As Farrow told Rachel Maddow two nights ago, he finished the bulk of his reporting on Weinstein when he went to The New Yorker. That is why the magazine accepted his piece in the first place.” After playing highlights from Farrow’s appearance on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” earlier this week, Carlson went on to point out Oppenheim had not been upfront about any possible business relationship he had with Weinstein, which may have impacted his editorial decisionmaking regarding the story. “We’d bet money that her employer didn’t want Rachel Maddow to do that segment, but she did it anyway. Good for her. So, why did a purported news organization kill a blockbuster news story? Well, presumably we will find out at some point. This is a scandal, and the truth has a way of emerging from those in the end. One possible explanation is Noah Oppenheim. In addition to being the head of NBC News, Oppenheim is a Hollywood screenwriter with deep ties to the movie business and the Democratic Party establishment. Could it be that Oppenheim had a business relationship with Harvey Weinstein or Weinstein’s Company? It is not a far-fetched possibility at all. And yet, as of earlier today, Oppenheim and NBC when asked directly refused to say. Noah Oppenheim ought to resign immediately, and if he doesn’t, he ought to be fired immediately by NBC’s parent company, Comcast. News executives are not allowed to tell lies. They are not allowed to participate in cover-ups. They ought to answer straightforward questions straightforwardly when they don’t, you know they are corrupt. And that is exactly what NBC News is.”

Agreed!  This is a follow-up to a story we posted earlier today (scroll down about 6 articles) about what’s going on over at NBC News.  Bottom line.. It’s time for Noah to go.  He should do the right thing and resign.  But, if he won’t, then Comcast should fire him immediately.  NBC News is unbelievably liberal.  We already knew that.  But, now it is corrupt and discredited.

NBC, under fire for spiking Weinstein exposé, denies embattled news president has ties to mogul

Facing mounting pressure, NBC News on Thursday night denied that its president, Noah Oppenheim, who moonlights as a Hollywood screenwriter, had any business ties to disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. Oppenheim is the executive who spiked celebrity scion Ronan Farrow’s explosive exposé on Weinstein, who was one of the most powerful people in Hollywood before a series of sexual harassment allegations derailed his career last week. “Noah has never had any relationship with [Weinstein], business or personal,” NBC News said in a statement. Oppenheim is also an active screenwriter, who in addition to his duties as NBC News president is writing a movie about the escape artist Harry Houdini for Lionsgate, a rival studio to The Weinstein Company. He also wrote the 2016 film “Jackie,” which was nominated for three Academy Awards (Oppenheim was not nominated) and he has shared writing credits on “The Maze Runner,” which received generally warm reviews, and “Allegiant,” which is “certified rotten” by Rotten Tomatoes with a failing score of 12 percent. He has also been tied to a gestating remake of “1984” by Imagine Entertainment. Oppenheim has told numerous colleagues that he is likely to return to Hollywood full time when he’s done with NBC News. Oppenheim’s representatives at CAA — who handle his movie deals — refused to answer if Oppenheim and Weinstein had any sort of business relationship.

NBC News is unbeliveably corrupt.  To read the rest of this article, click on the text above..

Opinion: Why Megyn Kelly is leaving Fox News for NBC

Megyn Kelly offered a heartfelt tribute to Fox News and her viewers in explaining her “tough decision” to leave the network for NBC. At the close of Tuesday’s “Kelly File,” Kelly said she felt a “human connection” to her viewers and also treasures that “particularly when it comes to my children, who are 7, 5 and 3,” signaling that her nighttime schedule was a key factor in her decision. “I have grown up here and been given every chance a young reporter could ever ask for,” she said, praising Rupert Murdoch’s family for its kindness toward her. Her last show at Fox airs Friday. Kelly’s closing remarks came less than 12 hours after the surprise announcement that she will be giving up her prime-time role at Fox for a multi-year deal that includes several roles at NBC. She will launch a daytime program as well as a Sunday evening news magazine show, and be part of the network’s coverage of major political and breaking-news events. Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, said in a statement: “We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to FOX News. We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best.” Kelly told viewers she deeply admires the journalists at NBC, but also said she is “very grateful” to Fox for her 12-year career at the news channel. She expressed similar sentiments in a Facebook posting, singling out not just Murdoch but his sons, Lachlan and James, who led the discussions to keep her. The anchor made one wry reference to her critics, saying she even values those who “very rarely complain” about her on Twitter after a show or a presidential debate–an apparent reference to the Donald Trump supporters who turned on her during the campaign. Fox News fought hard to keep Kelly, who became a breakout star and whose 9 p.m. show was the second-highest rated in cable news, behind the “O’Reilly Factor.” Trump’s attacks on Kelly during the campaign helped turn her into an international celebrity and she was featured on the cover of the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair and other publications. She also just published a best-selling memoir, “Settle for More.” Kelly’s contract at Fox was not due to expire for another six months. Money did not appear to be the major factor in her decision; Kelly stood to make an eight-figure salary wherever she went. As she talked about her thinking, it became clear that a top priority was a schedule that would allow her to spend more time with her three young children rather than returning home after their bedtime.

And you have to respect that.  Megyn will do fine at NBC.  Hopefully Megyn will not forget the Fox News viewers and fans that made her millions.  She was an attorney.  Fox News made her a superstar.  As an aside, it’s been reported that Matt Lauer was apparently caught offguard by the hiring of Megyn, and wasn’t very happy about it.   Not that we really care..  But, it’s funny, if it’s true.  Personally, I’d like to see an expanded role for Shannon Bream over at Fox News.  She seems to be the go-to person to sub for all the prime time shows (other than Bill’s), and does as good, if not better, than the hosts she’s subbing for.  To read the rest of this op/ed by Howie Kurtz, click on the text above.

Clinton rape accuser blasts ‘biased’ NBC anchor

First, GOP presumptive presidential candidate Donald Trump ripped away the “philandering husband” façade from Bill Clinton, publicly charging on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Wednesday that the former president committed “rape.” Then, on the same day, the victim, Juanita Broaddrick, described for the first time – in a WND exclusive sit-down interview conducted in Broaddrick’s Arkansas home – exactly how the alleged 1978 sexual assault had deeply and permanently scarred her life throughout the intervening decades. And Broaddrick mentioned something else: Of all mainstream journalists, the one she spoke to recently on the phone, seeking an update from Broaddrick on the rape incident and its aftermath, was NBC’s Andrea Mitchell. How ironic, then, when Thursday, Mitchell said on-air that Broaddrick’s rape allegation, first televised by her own network in a sensational “Dateline” segment in 1999, had been “discredited.” “Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea,” Broaddrick told WND today, responding to Mitchell’s comment essentially calling her a liar. It was Myers, NBC News’ well-respected and recently retired senior investigative correspondent, who in 1999 was so convinced of Broaddrick’s authenticity that she interviewed her for the network’s primetime story. Indeed, Mitchell’s “discredited” claim clashes directly with Myers, who as recently as 2014 confirmed that “Nothing has come up since that story was reported that in any way undercuts what Juanita Broaddrick said.” Here’s what Broaddrick said today in response to Mitchell’s claim: “Nothing has changed from the detailed investigation NBC did into my story in 1999 before airing my Dateline interview with Lisa Myers,” Broaddrick said in a statement to Los Angeles attorney Candice Jackson, who conducted the in-person interview with Broaddrick for WND, having previously authored the acclaimed book, “Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine.” “And if NBC now thinks my experience has been ‘discredited,’” Broaddrick continued, “why would Andrea Mitchell call me to ask me for any new information about my encounter with Hillary after the assault? And why wouldn’t Andrea Mitchell have written her own news story explaining exactly how I’ve been discredited? Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea. Andrea is obviously mad at me for exposing her rudeness and bias when she called me this year. I think being a lapdog for Hillary Clinton discredits Andrea Mitchell and NBC as journalists!”
