Nancy Pelosi

Gutfeld on Trump’s letter to Pelosi

Citing security concerns during the shutdown, Nancy Pelosi has asked Donald Trump to give his State of the Union address in writing. Trump’s response? Canceling her trip to Brussels Thursday night right before takeoff. In the letter he said, he was “sorry to inform her,” that he’s canceling the trip. No, he wasn’t sorry. Not at all! He basically stole her lunch money. And then he ate her lunch. Still, Trump should accept her offer. And send the State of the Union address in writing: a sheet with just two words: Bye bye. Then he should hold a giant event in the middle of America. After all, the people elected Trump, not Washington, D.C. Nancy and the Dems can take shelter under their desks and watch it all on iPads. And Trump can cite his accomplishments, tell some jokes — just so the press has a reason to burn their hair. He can broadcast it on YouTube. The media will cover it in highly flammable fact-checks. It’ll be the first People’s State of the Union! If the media doesn’t show it — then we know it’s personal and political — for this is historical. And hysterical! Cuz what do the Dems do then? Do they not respond when he does it anyway — at a better place, with better-looking people? With music, prizes, farm animals and face painting? And almost no carbon footprint! Think about that! Do they hold a response? With the same cardboard cutouts from before? Nancy just offered Trump an amazing chance. It gets him out of a dull speech — and it gets “The Five” out of going to D.C. – a place with overpriced booze, incompetent politicians and substandard food. Which really, is the whole point of this monologue.

HAHA!!!  That was EXCELLENT!!  Thanks Greg!  Greg Gutfeld currently serves as host of FOX News Channel’s (FNC) The Greg Gutfeld Show (Saturdays 10-11PM/ET) and co-host of The Five (weekdays 5-6PM/ET).    🙂

Pelosi will ‘cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding,’ daughter says

Nancy Pelosi’s daughter did not mince words Wednesday when she was asked about her mother’s leadership style. “She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding,” Alexandra Pelosi bluntly told CNN in an interview Wednesday morning. “That’s all you need to know about her.” Pelosi was asked about her mother’s approach to meetings, ahead of a highly anticipated briefing with President Trump and other top congressional leaders scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in the White House Situation Room. The meeting comes a day before Democrats reclaim the House majority, with Nancy Pelosi expected to ascend once again to speaker.

Wow…  And this is coming from her own daughter.  Get ready for a crazy couple of years, folks.

House Dem torches Pelosi as ‘aloof, frenetic and misguided’ as he calls for her replacement

A Democratic congressman from New York state torched Nancy Pelosi this week, calling her “aloof, frenetic and misguided,” as he joined a growing group of rebel Democrats who say they won’t back the Californian for another term as the party’s leader in the House. U.S. Rep. Brian Higgins, from the Buffalo area, told the Buffalo News that Pelosi has shown a lack of leadership and failed to produce an alternative to President Trump’s agenda, such as pursuing a Medicare expansion or an investment in infrastructure. “I will not support her,” Higgins said in the interview. “She’s listening, but this is my conclusion: She’s aloof, frenetic and misguided. “I’m giving voice to a frustration that I hear every single day,” he added, referring to other House Democrats. “I don’t want to call anybody out. But this is the conversation that is taking place.” Pelosi responded to Higgins’ criticism, saying his concerns were largely based on their disagreement regarding his bill that would expand Medicare to people aged 50 to 64. The New Yorker’s comments about Pelosi came as multiple prospective candidates and sitting members of Congress expressed concerns about their 78-year-old leader, who was House speaker for four years before becoming minority leader in 2011. Clarke Tucker, a Democrat running for a congressional seat held by Republicans in Arkansas, released a new ad this week in which he distanced himself from Pelosi, saying he won’t back her if elected. The video follows relentless GOP attacks trying to link him with Pelosi. “[Republican Congressman French Hill] opened his campaign by attacking me, knowing full well that I’ve said from day one that I won’t vote for Nancy Pelosi. We’re better than that,” Tucker says in the ad. U.S. House Rep. Conor Lamb from Pennsylvania, who won a special election in March in a historically GOP district that Trump had won by nearly 20 points, also said he won’t vote for Pelosi and campaigned as a moderate Democrat. Higgins remains particularly concerned about the party’s ability to come up with policies that could persuade the traditional Democratic voters, who supported Trump in 2016, to come back to the Democratic Party. “Our leadership is out of touch with what is going on, not only in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan but in Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Hamburg, Orchard Park and Lancaster,” he told the newspaper, mentioning the states and municipalities Trump won in the presidential election. He adds that the party needs a clearer vision, a stronger leader and offer more than just opposition to the White House if the party wants to retake the control after the midterm elections. “The only thing I have is a voice and a vote, and I have to use that to try to get my conference to recognize that resistance to Trump at best is only half of it,” he said. “We have to offer something affirmative.” Speaking of 2020, the Democrat remained skeptical. “We are not ready for 2020. We’re lacking a clear, coherent and compelling narrative,” he said. One reason why the party isn’t yet ready to challenge Trump, according to Higgins, is the leader of the House. “When she’s on the floor, she’s all over the place; she’s frenetic,” he said of Pelosi. “I think she lacks gravitas.”

That’s being nice..  Definitely something to keep an eye on.  Congressman Higgins isn’t the only Dem in the House who has had enough of ol’ Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has been a total disaster for her party.

Nancy Pelosi: We’re Raising Taxes When We Win

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Thursday that Democrats would raise taxes if they win the 2018 midterm elections. Or, as she put it: tax cuts will be “revised.” Bloomberg News reports that Pelosi continues to disparage President Donald Trump’s tax cut, which she once called “crumbs“: “The tax bill is a dark cloud over our children’s future,” the California Democrat said Thursday at the Peterson Foundation Fiscal Summit in Washington. “We want to revisit in a way that puts the middle class first and reduces the debt.” Pelosi said she would seek to negotiate a bipartisan extension of the tax bill’s middle-class tax cuts for individuals, which expire in 2026. The new tax bill would be one that “promotes growth, generates jobs and reduces the deficit,” she said. Pelosi didn’t say whether she would seek to raise the corporate rate — which was cut to 21 percent from 35 percent — and didn’t specify other tax breaks she would seek to end. Recently, Pelosi confirmed that she intends to return to the Speaker’s chair if Democrats win the House back in the November elections. She was the first female Speaker of the House from 2007 to 2011, but led her party to historic defeat after she pushed through the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, in 2010. Pelosi is characterizing Democrats’ current tax plan as a way to reduce the federal deficit. However, federal deficits exploded on her watch as Speaker, even though she promised “no new deficit spending.” The national debt also rose $5 trillion during that period, thanks largely to Democrats’ heavy spending.

Exactly!!  That is why we must do everything we can to ensure that the Dems do NOT take control of the House in the midterms.  That would be a disaster..

Pelosi Heckled While Criticizing Tax Cuts: ‘How Much Are You Worth Nancy?’

Tuesday in Phoenix at a town hall, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was heckled while discussing her opposition to the Republican tax cuts. Pelosi said, “These are kitchen table issues for many of America’s families. Most people are not in deadening poverty, but some are. Most people have to struggle to make ends —” A woman yelled, “How much are you worth, Nancy?” Pelosi responded, “No, we’re not talking about that. So in any event — I can — you know I’m a mother of five I can now speak louder than anybody.”

Huh?  Nancy really isn’t very good at handling questions like that.  She has her talking points, and that’s it.  But, in this case, it’s also because this heckler is calling her out on her brazen hypocrisy.  Nancy is one to play the class warfare card at any opportunity.  Yet, her personal net worth is over $30 MILLION…and that’s before you add her hubby’s dinero, and he’s a successful businessman.  Ohh…and she’s been in Congress over 30 years.  So, let’s not forget her 6 figure pension she’ll receive for the rest of her life.  Nancy is among most wealthy members of Congress and yet she makes a career going after “the rich.”  What a hypocrite!!  Kudos to this heckler.  More people need to all out Nancy on her self-righteous, sanctimonious, self-serving hypocrisy.

Analysis: Pelosi Invokes Catholic Faith to Defend Illegals, But Not to Protect Unborn, Nuns

Wednesday, during her House filibuster in support of protecting people illegally in the U.S., particular minors (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or “DACA”), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) invoked her Catholic faith: “Maybe I should bring my rosary blessed by the pope… his holiness, Pope Francis, or the one before that, Benedict,” she added. “I have the honor and privilege of receiving rosaries blessed by several popes in my lifetime.” She goes on to quote Pope Benedict and Saint Augustine on just government and the dangers of power. But, Pelosi has a long history of rejecting Catholic Church doctrine when it comes to issues like abortion and protection of the unborn. Pelosi has been repeatedly rebuked by bishops, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and Catholic groups like the Catholic League for her pro-abortion stance. She has returned fire, calling bishops “lobbyists” – because they opposed an Obamacare mandate that violates Catholic teaching – and she has taken on nuns (The Little Sisters of the Poor) who sued to protect their religious freedom. Pelosi isn’t the only professed Catholic member of Congress to be publicly rebuked by Catholic clergy for supporting abortion. After 14 senators claiming to be Catholic voted against a bill to ban late-term abortion, Father Dwight Longnecker called on bishops across the nation to publicly inform those senators that they have excommunicated themselves.Wednesday, during her House filibuster in support of protecting people illegally in the U.S., particular minors (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or “DACA”), Rep. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is a nauseating, self-righteous, self-serving hypocrite cherry picks where her alleged faith serves her political needs, and when it doesn’t.  Kudos to author Craig Bannister for correctly calling her out.  And hey..  if only she stood in heels for 8 hours in defense of actual U.S. citizens, instead of illegal aliens, we might be inclined to overlook her brazen hypocrisy.  For more, click on the text above.  Excellent!   🙂

Analysis: Nancy Pelosi’s Tax Apocalypse

To listen to the Democrats, the American middle class will be lucky to survive the Republican tax bill. Nancy Pelosi calls the bill “monumental, brazen theft from the American middle class,” and that’s one of her more restrained comments. Per Pelosi, the bill is an affront to the Founding Fathers, veterans, children, and all that’s good and true in America. She constantly charges that the bill “raises taxes on 86 million middle-class households,” and “hands a breathtaking 83 percent of its benefits to the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans.” This is a rhetorically potent line of attack that the polling suggest has made considerable headway. It just isn’t remotely honest. The Republican bill is, every factual analysis agrees, an across-the-board tax cut. Pelosi’s seemingly damning factoids come from the year 2027, an odd date to focus on, since it’s not when the bill goes into effect, but when part of it lapses. In about ten years, many of the tax cuts on the individual side expire, which Pelosi portrays as a Republican plot to loot the middle class. It’s a very strange argument against passing a bill to say horrible things will happen once the legislation no longer fully applies. This is more logically a case for extending the bill than for blocking it. Indeed, it’s almost certain the middle-class provisions would eventually be preserved. If Pelosi were being more scrupulous, she’d say, “If Democrats for some reason don’t agree with Republicans to extend the middle-class tax cuts — then they will disappear and it will be shame on us.” What is, by the way, this looming middle-class wasteland in 2027? Pelosi relies on the liberal Tax Policy Center for her figures. As that outfit puts it, “on average, in 2027 taxes would change little for lower- and middle-income groups.” Oh. According to the TPC, the lowest quintile of “tax units” would see, on average, a $30 tax increase in 2027. The second quintile would see a $40 increase. And the middle quintile a $20 increase. There’s a reason Pelosi doesn’t want to focus on the numbers when the tax bill she so vociferously opposes is fully in effect. In 2018, 80.4 percent of tax units get a tax cut, averaging $2,140. A grand total of 4.8 percent will see a tax increase. The small percentage of people with higher taxes is disproportionately tilted toward the top of the income scale. There isn’t really debate over the contours of the bill. According to the analysis of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the average tax rate goes down for every income cohort in 2019, and the share of federal taxes paid by millionaires will rise slightly to 19.8 from 19.3. It’s true upper-income people get a bigger tax cut in terms of absolute dollars than anyone else. As Brian Riedl of the Manhattan Institute points out, this is going to be the case for any across-the-board tax cut for the simple reason that the wealthy tend to pay more in taxes than anyone else. The tax bill is hardly invulnerable to criticism. Even if Republicans don’t always like to admit it, corporate tax cuts are at the heart of the bill. They aren’t popular, but they are pro-growth. There used to be a bipartisan consensus — encompassing Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton — that we needed corporate tax reform. Then, there’s the deficit. Republicans can fairly be taken to task for budget gimmicks (like the expiration of the individual tax cuts) that squeeze a much bigger tax cut into a $1.5 trillion ten-year window. All things being equal, economic growth will diminish some of the revenue loss. But the bill could’ve been smaller and added less to the deficit. It’s impossible to say how the tax bill will play in the midterms. What’s certain is that, contra Pelosi, the middle class will emerge intact, and with a lower tax bill.

Exactly!  So, next time you see ol’ Nancy spouting her geriatric, canned, Democrat talking points about how we’re all doomed because of this tax bill, which President Trump signed into law…keep this in mind.  Thanks to National Review editor Rich Lowry for this op/ed.  Also keep in mind the fact that he was part of the “never-Trumpers” from day one; not exactly part of the “Trump Train.”

Pelosi, other Democrats pocket campaign cash from owners of sex-trafficking website

After California’s then-Attorney General Kamala D. Harris announced felony pimping charges last year against the two owners of Backpage.com — a classified-ad website that is a hub for sex trafficking and prostitution, one of the men cut a $10,000 check to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s super PAC. Mrs. Pelosi’s political action committee, House Majority PAC, has resisted giving the money back, and an aide to Mrs. Pelosi said the California Democrat knows nothing about the contribution. The uproar over sexual harassment that began with the Harvey Weinstein scandal has intensified the scrutiny of political contributions linked to Backpage, which law enforcement officials say is the chief platform for activities far worse than harassment, including sexual slavery and child prostitution. Mrs. Pelosi isn’t the only Democrat struggling to deal with the piles of cash that Backpage’s owners spread around to candidates and state Democratic parties over the years. Even Ms. Harris, a California Democrat who is now a U.S. senator, ducked the issue. Her office wouldn’t respond to repeated emails about Backpage money going to House Majority PAC and other Democratic organizations. Since 2010, the owners and their wives have shoveled about $99,000 to candidates and about $95,000 to Democratic parties in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico, according to federal campaign finance data collected by the Center for Responsive Politics. Bowing to mounting pressure, including a bipartisan Senate investigation that found the owners knowingly sold ads to pimps who coerced minors into prostitution, Backpage in January closed down its adult services sections. The websites, however, continue to be marketplaces for the sex trade. Detroit police last week arrested two men who were using Backpage to run a sex trafficking ring after an underage girl told police she was brought to the city and put to work as a prostitute, with “dates” arranged on the website. In June, a Chicago man was arrested after using Backpage to sell a 16-year-old girl who was eventually killed by a client. Such stories of prostitution and sex trafficking linked to Backpage are relatively commonplace across the country. The founders and controlling shareholders of Backpage, Michael Lacey and James Larkin, and Backpage executives and shareholders John Brunst and Scott Spear, have made fortunes from the websites. In California alone, Backpage rakes in about $2.5 million per month, according to charging documents in the Golden State. Mr. Larkin made the contribution to the House Majority PAC in October 2016, a week after he and Mr. Lacey were charged in California. A judge, citing federal law that shields internet sites from most liability, dropped the pimping charge in August. Related money laundering charges are proceeding against the men. Legislation spearheaded by Sen. Rob Portman, Ohio Republican, would tighten federal law to hold accountable websites such as Backpage that host thinly disguised ads for commercial sex and child prostitution. The bill is expected to easily pass the Senate early next year. There is still the question of what to do about the Backpage money.

ABC skips coverage of Nancy Pelosi protesters

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was interrupted in spectacular fashion during a San Francisco press conference Monday by an angry group of immigration activists. But one of the Big Three broadcast networks decided to completely ignore the scene, despite a history of covering similar anti-Trump interruptions. The dependably liberal ABC’s “World News Tonight” skipped the story, while rivals CBS and NBC properly covered the event. “NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt called it a “chaotic scene,” while “CBS Evening News” anchor Anthony Mason said Pelosi was “shouted down.” Both of ABC’s rivals aired video of Pelosi’s press conference getting interrupted and covered the story for roughly 30 seconds apiece. So why didn’t ABC’s newscast cover the event? Perhaps the folks at Disney don’t think angry protesters are newsworthy? Not quite. “World News Tonight” has covered a variety of anti-Republican protests, including a montage of demonstrators who were upset that Trump defeated Hillary Clinton on Election Day. ABC News also covered anti-Trump protesters that gathered when members of the Electoral College gathered to make Trump’s victory official last December. In fact, the network covered Trump Tower protesters just last month. ABC News also covered anti-Trump protesters back in 2016 during the GOP primary and essentially blamed Trump when a protesters rushed his stage during a campaign rally. “Donald Trump taking no responsibility for any of it,” ABC News anchor Cecilia Vega said after reporting that Trump supporters and protesters became violent on the campaign trail. This time, ABC skipped an interesting and surprising story. The anti-Pelosi protesters apparently want her to fight for “all 11 million” undocumented immigrants, as opposed to just “dreamers.” They are upset that she has the audacity to negotiate with President Trump to save the DACA program. Pelosi fired back as she was being interrupted, asking if they “actually want to hear an answer” or if they simply want to “shout.” The crowd decided to shout, calling her a “liar” and holding signs that said, “Democrats are Deporters.” ABC has been accused of bias several times in recent political history. Recent examples include President Trump accusing ABC anchor Martha Raddatz of crying on Election Night after he won, which the veteran journalist denied. The network’s chief anchor, former Bill Clinton communications director George Stephanopoulos, did not disclose a substantial donation to Clinton’s charitable organization back in 2015. ABC executives canceled Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” after the star expressed conservative views, although ABC president of Entertainment Channing Dungey told reporters that “politics had absolutely nothing to do with it.” The network also has been criticized for several shows that mock traditional values such as “The Real O’Neals” which made fun of Irish Catholics and “When We Rise” which was widely criticized for portraying Middle America as homophobic. ABC journalist Terry Moran even compared Trump’s inaugural address to Nazi rhetoric. Meanwhile, The Washington Post recently ranked the top 15 possible 2020 Democratic candidates, with Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger as No. 11, ahead of actual politicians such as Tim Kaine and Deval Patrick. ABC News declined comment..

Gee..  What a surprise!  lol   ABC is unabashedly, extremely liberal..  So, their brazenly hypocritical decision not to air that video of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) be verbally assaulted by a mob of illegal aliens shouting her down shows their liberal bias.  If you’ve not seen it, Google it.  It was truly epic, ironic, and worthy of being aired on any news broadcast.  Ol’ Nancy, who is over 76, clearly was flustered and shaking while trying to somehow reassure those losers that she was on their side (which made it ironic).  Had that been a Republican, that video clip would have been EVERYWHERE, and we all know it.  But, ABC decided to look the other way, because it was a Democrat politician being grilled, and humiliated.  Typical liberal media hypocrisy…

Nancy Pelosi’s father helped dedicate Confederate monument

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has ramped up calls to remove “reprehensible” Confederate statues from the halls of Congress — but left unsaid in her public denunciations is that her father helped dedicate such a statue decades ago while mayor of Baltimore. It was May 2, 1948, when, according to a Baltimore Sun article from that day, “3,000” looked on as then-Governor William Preston Lane Jr. and Pelosi’s father, the late Thomas D’Alesandro Jr., spoke at the dedication of a monument to honor Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. The article said Lane delivered a speech, and Mayor D’Alesandro “accepted” the memorial. “Today, with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions,” D’Alesandro said in his dedication. “We must remain steadfast in our determination to preserve freedom, not only for ourselves, but for the other liberty-loving nations who are striving to preserve their national unity as free nations.” He added: “In these days of uncertainty and turmoil, Americans must emulate Jackson’s example and stand like a stone wall against aggression in any form that would seek to destroy the liberty of the world.” With President Trump cautioning that the drive to purge Confederate statues could represent a slippery slope, the White House has flagged Pelosi’s family history as she fuels the statue opposition. Counselor Kellyanne Conway tweeted an earlier article from RedAlertPolitics noting Pelosi’s father’s role. “That’s rich,” she wrote. Last week, more than a half century after Pelosi’s father honored the Lee-Jackson monument, it was removed from its post along with three other Confederate statues in Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Sun. The removal came as numerous monuments were removed, vandalized or otherwise being debated in the wake of the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., where a counter-protester was killed. Pelosi’s office did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment on her father’s involvement with one of the Baltimore monuments. But Pelosi, D-Calif., has been outspoken in fueling the backlash toward symbols of the Confederacy. Last week, she urged House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to remove the 10 Confederate statues memorialized on Capitol Hill “immediately” if “Republicans are serious about rejecting white supremacy.” When asked why Pelosi, after serving as House speaker for years, never pushed to remove the 10 figures, her office noted that she directed the relocation of the Robert E. Lee statue from Statuary Hall to the basement of the Capitol, known as the crypt. “As Speaker, we relocated Robert E. Lee out of a place of honor in National Statuary Hall – a place now occupied by the statue of Rosa Parks,” Pelosi said last week.

Point taken..   BUT..  The reporter should have pressed a little harder and asked why there were 10 figures in Statuary Hall…and not only was she speaker of the House.  But, she and her party controlled BOTH chambers of Congress AND Obama was in the White House.  Obama and his agenda were unopposed his first two years in office as President.  So, they could EASILY have taken care of all of that then…but they didn’t.  So, her current self-righteous, self-serving, and current political opportunistic push to do so now is entirely hypocritical and political pandering at it’s worst.  But, that’s typical for ol’ Nancy. And, one thing we love to do here at The Daily Buzz is expose the brazen hypocrisy of politicians like Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the liberal agenda of what we call the dominantly liberal mainstream media (i.e. ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR/PBS, CNN, the Washington Post, the NY Times, etc…and of course the absolute worst…MSNBC).  Let’s see if some enterprising reporter is able to confront that old windbag on camera with that line of questioning and THEN ask her about her father’s role mentioned in the article above.  That would be some fun tv worth watching!
