CNN Praised Mt. Rushmore When Obama Visited; Attacks When Trump Visits

CNN described Mount Rushmore as a “monument of two slave owners” on “land wrestled [sic] away from Native Americans” ahead of President Donald Trump’s visit there on Friday. But in 2008, CNN marveled at the landmark when then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) visited Rushmore on the campaign trail. In 2008, CNN anchor Ron Marciano said: “Barack Obama is campaigning in South Dakota. That state’s primary is Tuesday. Obama arrived there late last night and got a good look around Mt. Rushmore — it’s quite a sight if you haven’t seen it.” Fellow anchor Betty Nguyen added: “Barack Obama is in South Dakota today. He arrived there last night. Take a look at this. He got a good glimpse of the majestic Mount Rushmore. Well, South Dakota and Montana have closed out the primary season on Tuesday.” But on Friday, CNN described Rushmore in less glowing terms. Senior Washington correspondent Joe Johns said: ” [A]t a time of racial unease, when protesters are tearing down statues of slaveholders and calling for the names of Confederate generals to be removed from army bases, the Rushmore event is a reminder that Trump is fighting to preserve these relics of heritage and history that some see as symbols of oppression. And to indigenous people, Mt. Rushmore, with four white presidents, two of whom were slave owners, is one of those symbols.” CNN interviewed Sioux Falls Argus Leader columnist Stu Whitney, who said: ” I think that is a source of concern for people that see this certainly within a state with a Native American population nearly 10 percent and much higher in Rapid City, concerned about a place that has a lot of spiritual significance, And historical significance when you look at what they and most historians consider to be broken promises and broken treaties.” CNN correspondent Leyla Santiago reported on The Lead with Jake Tapper: “President Trump will be at Mt. Rushmore where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans told that be focusing on the effort to, quote, tear down our country’s history.”

As many of you know..  One thing we love to do here at The Daily Buzz is to shine a bright light on the hypocrisy of the dominantly liberal mainstream media.  And, as usual, CNN makes it way too easy.  Their hypocrisy and spin in how they report the same event when it’s a Democrat candidate versus a Republican candidate is breathtaking and brazen.  CNN, like MSNBC, are simply propaganda machines for the DNC and Democratic politicians.  Not convinced?  Then click on the text above for more of this article which includes CNN Tweets and more…and you be the judge.

Flashback: Media Didn’t Care When Obama Scrubbed Security Clearances

The establishment media did not care when the Obama administration called for the aggressive scrubbing of security clearances back in 2013. According to our media today, revoking security clearances of those who are no longer in government is the stuff of banana republics, of dictators, and a full-blown assault against the First Amendment. But when President Obama sought to do the exact same on a massive scale, the media hardly blinked and the news only earned dutiful coverage. “W.H. Looks to Scrub Clearance List,” was the November 21, 2013, headline at the far-left Politico. In a directive obtained by POLITICO, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper questioned the booming rolls of security-clearance holders. At last count, more than 4.9 million people held clearances, of whom over 1.4 million were cleared for access at the “Top Secret” level. “I write to express my concern about threats to national security resulting from the increasing number of people with eligibility for access to classified national security information, particularly Top Secret (TS) and Top Secret/Secure Compartmented Information (TS/SCI),” [then Director of National Intelligence James] Clapper wrote in a three-page memo, dated Oct. 31 and cited at a Senate hearing Wednesday. Clapper asked agencies to perform a top-to-bottom scrub of the teeming rolls of people authorized to access classified information and to remove anyone deemed not to have a so-called need to know. What’s more, Clapper specified his concern about contractors: “Agencies should debrief all government and contractor personnel who no longer require such access and update the appropriate national security database or repository.” Obviously, Clapper and the Obama administration singling out contractors would result in job and income losses for all those former G-Men. So where was the media uproar?

What a great question!  One thing we like to do here at The Daily Buzz is to expose the hypocrisy and duplicity of the dominantly liberal mainstream media.  Such is the case here.  And, its truly stunning.  Why aren’t Clapper, Brennan, and all the rest of these self-righteous, agenda driven tools being asked about this when their whining on MSNBC or CNN about Trump doing the same thing?  Yeah… Exactly..  So, typical.  For more, click on the text above.

NBC, under fire for spiking Weinstein exposé, denies embattled news president has ties to mogul

Facing mounting pressure, NBC News on Thursday night denied that its president, Noah Oppenheim, who moonlights as a Hollywood screenwriter, had any business ties to disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. Oppenheim is the executive who spiked celebrity scion Ronan Farrow’s explosive exposé on Weinstein, who was one of the most powerful people in Hollywood before a series of sexual harassment allegations derailed his career last week. “Noah has never had any relationship with [Weinstein], business or personal,” NBC News said in a statement. Oppenheim is also an active screenwriter, who in addition to his duties as NBC News president is writing a movie about the escape artist Harry Houdini for Lionsgate, a rival studio to The Weinstein Company. He also wrote the 2016 film “Jackie,” which was nominated for three Academy Awards (Oppenheim was not nominated) and he has shared writing credits on “The Maze Runner,” which received generally warm reviews, and “Allegiant,” which is “certified rotten” by Rotten Tomatoes with a failing score of 12 percent. He has also been tied to a gestating remake of “1984” by Imagine Entertainment. Oppenheim has told numerous colleagues that he is likely to return to Hollywood full time when he’s done with NBC News. Oppenheim’s representatives at CAA — who handle his movie deals — refused to answer if Oppenheim and Weinstein had any sort of business relationship.

NBC News is unbeliveably corrupt.  To read the rest of this article, click on the text above..

Nolte: After Declaring Bill Clinton Off Limits, CNN Targets Judge Roy Moore’s Wife

In the heat of the 2016 presidential campaign, the leftwing cable news network CNN famously declared that the many sins of former-president Bill Clinton, spouse of then-Democrat frontrunner Hillary Clinton, were off limits. CNN even went so far as to cut the microphone of a guest who brought the former president up. Today, this very same CNN is targeting the wife of Alabama US senate candidate Judge Roy Moore. Some 15 years ago, the Republican Moore founded an organization called The Foundation for Moral Law. Nearly two years ago, on its Facebook page, the organization shared a video that suggested former-president Barack Obama is a closet Muslim. When asked about the video, Moore told CNN that he “had not worked at the foundation for years, but said that the video did not reflect his personal views.” Because that answer is a good one that will put the issue to rest, and although she is not running for public office, CNN then asked Moore if the video “reflected his wife’s views.” Moore said that he cannot speak for others. CNN then goaded Moore further by asking if his wife Kayla — who currently serves as president of the foundation and who shared the video on her personal Facebook page — would like to comment. Moore called the whole thing “ridiculous” and directed CNN to his campaign chair. Outside of the fact that political spouses have always been off-limits, and above and beyond CNN’s glaring hypocrisy and leftwing bias, this is par for the course for CNN, especially CNN’s Andrew Kaczysnki, who shares the story’s byline with Chris Massie. Kaczynski is the infamous online bully who, over the Christmas holidays in 2013, successfully targeted a nobody with a few hundred Twitter followers for personal destruction. A mere two months ago, and now armed with the backing of CNN, Kaczynski proudly and openly threatened a private citizen with “doxxing,” or to make public his personal details so the Internet can tear is his life apart, if he ever again ridiculed CNN. Time and time again over the years, we have witnessed the national media use Obama’s patriotism and Christian faith as a fascistic loyalty test. Unless you are a Republican willing to vouch for Obama’s Christian faith and love for America, the media will smear you as an extremist and racist. Just like the loyalty tests of old, unless you believe what the media demands you believe, the corporate power of a CNN will be mustered as a means to personally destroy you and your political career. In other words, unless you convince the media you truly believe that Obama is a good Christian and American, you cannot serve in public life. But now, even that is not good enough for CNN. The leftwing outlet is now using its chief bully Kaczynski to demand spouses pass this loyalty test. And if your wife fails to hold the “correct” opinion about Obama’s religious faith, the network that cut the microphone of a guest who dared criticize Bill Clinton, will tear both you and her apart.

I’ve had first-experience with CNN’s bullying tactics.  So, this doesn’t surprise me one bit.  Thanks to John Nolte for bringing yet another example of CNN’s liberal bias, and brazen hypocrisy.

Opinion: Trump Was Right to Condemn Violence on ‘Many Sides’ in Charlottesville

President Donald Trump reacted to Saturday’s violence in Charlottesville by condemning violence “on many sides.” His critics pounced, saying that he should have specifically condemned violence by white supremacists, and that by not doing so, he in fact condoned such violence. The critics are guilty of a double standard, and of exploiting the violence for political gain, widening America’s divisions at a time when national unity is the only proper course. First of all, as a factual matter, it is self-evident that there was violence on both sides on Saturday, though the attack in which a car plowed into a crowd of left-wing protesters stands apart as a despicable act. Two groups who have been fighting all over the country — white supremacists and so-called “anti-fascists” — went to Charlottesville to do the same, just as they did last summer in Sacramento, and just as they have elsewhere. Condemning one side alone would essentially have given the other side a pass for its tactics — and a political victory that neither deserved. Second, Trump’s critics never applied the same standard to Barack Obama. When five Dallas police officers were murdered in cold blood at a Black Lives Matter protest, Obama did not disavow the movement, nor did the media demand he do so. On the contrary, when he spoke at a memorial service for the police, he actually endorsed the movement and its goals: “I understand these protests — I see them. They can be messy. Sometimes they can be hijacked by an irresponsible few. Police can get hurt. Protesters can get hurt. They can be frustrated. But even those who dislike the phrase “black lives matter,” surely, we should be able to hear the pain of Alton Sterling’s family. … With an open heart, we can worry less about which side has been wronged, and worry more about joining sides to do right.”(Alton Sterling was shot by officers in Baton Rouge; he was armed and had allegedly threatened someone with a gun.) When presented with an opportunity to disavow his racist pastor, Jeremiah Wright, then-candidate Obama gave an entire speech about how he could not do so: “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother.” The media swooned and compared him to Abraham Lincoln. (He eventually disavowed Wright — but only after a substitute preacher, Michael Pfleger, attacked Hillary Clinton from the pulpit, at a time when Obama needed to consolidate Clinton supporters for the general election.) Third, many of those attacking Trump today did not make the same demand of Democrats just two months ago, when five Republicans were shot and wounded by a left-wing gunman in Alexandria. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even managed to blame Republicans for the shooting by allegedly inflaming political rhetoric during the Bill Clinton era. Fourth, the media and the Democrats blame Trump for violence even when he, and his supporters are the target of that violence. Last June in San Jose, California, Trump supporters were viciously attacked by left-wing thugs as they left a rally. Some media reported the riot as if Trump supporters had started the violence (“Trump supporters clash with protesters“), while Democrat Mayor Sam Liccardo blamed Trump and his campaign for what happened. Finally, the claim that Trump has failed to disavow white supremacists is a lie repeated from the 2016 campaign, when the media ignored Trump’s prior rejections of the Ku Klux Klan and claimed he had failed to denounce them. Trump even denounced racism earlier this year, in his address to Congress: ” Tonight, as we mark the conclusion of our celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of our Nation’s path toward civil rights and the work that still remains. Recent threats targeting Jewish Community Centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a Nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms.” The purpose of the lie is to connect Trump to white supremacists by implying that he has something to disavow. Many of Trump’s critics compounded that lie Saturday by recycling false claims about members of his staff. Trump’s critics are guilty of something worse than hypocrisy. They are trying to divide the country when the right thing to do is to stress common bonds, as Republicans did in June, though they were the targets. Trump’s critics tried the same tactics in 2016, and all they achieved was more hatred. It is well past time for the slander to stop.

When I first turned on the news and first learned of this event, the very first photo I saw was some white guy with a flag rolled up on its pole confronting a black guy who had turned some aerosol can into a torch and blasting a firey flame toward the white guy.  On it’s face, it wasn’t clear who was the instigator and who as the one fighting back.  But, what WAS clear, was that there were two sides; NOT just one side.  And, to suggest otherwise is disingenuous, hypocritical, and self-serving.  But, that’s par for the course for these self-righteous, sanctimonious, agenda-driven liberals in the media and elsewhere.  What started as a perfectly reasonable rally to counter the historical fascism of the left who continue to want to erase our history, turned into an ugly scene culminating in some lunatic driving his car through a crown killing an innocent woman.  That Hitler-loving loser should be put down like the dog he is.  BUT, Trump is exactly right.  There were elements on BOTH sides who escalated the situation and took advantage of the opportunity to further THEIR respective agendas.  Yeah, the Nazis and so on were there.  But, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) thugs were there with their baseball bats as well, lookin for a fight.  BOTH were at fault.  So, kudos to Trump for NOT playing the race card to further some self-serving agenda like Obama was notorious for doing.  Thanks to Joel B. Pollak for that outstanding op/ed.

David Duke, ex-KKKer, warns GOP: Back Steve Scalise, or I’ll name names

David Duke, the former head of the Ku Klux Klan, sent out a somewhat ominous message to Republican Party operatives to treat Rep. Steve Scalise fairly, or he’ll start naming names of others in the political arena with whom he’s met and maintained ties.

Well, that’s not helpful to Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) to have David Duke saying stuff like this.  I’m sure Scalise’s PR folks are wincing.  But, there is a bigger point here, and Mr. Duke is probably unwittingly touching on it..  There is SUCH a double standard here.  On the one hand, this whole brouhaha over Congressman Scalise is a NON-story.  There is “no there, there.”  The man spoke to a group affiliated with Mr. Duke over a decade ago about a tax issue.  The congressman is a politician.  That’s what they do; talk to folks…especially in a campaign year.  No harm, no foul.  But, that’s what this is all about.  Big hairy deal.  By EXTREME contrast, the media was totally silent when the late Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) was the SENATE MAJORITY LEADER.  And, Sen. Byrd was in office as recently as 2010; FOUR YEARS AGO!!  Former/late Sen. Byrd was also a former recruiter (and VERY active member) of the KKK at one point!  But, because he was a Democrat, he got a free pass from everyone, including former Pres. Bill Clinton, who downplayed it when it came up at one point.  And the dominantly liberal (and self-serving and sanctimonious) media didn’t even bring it up.  Talk about brazen hypocrisy!

And lets not forget that from 1865, when the Klan was created, til about the mid 1960s (AT LEAST), the KKK was made up entirely of DEMOCRATS.  For those looking for their calculators, thats the first 100 years of the Klan being exclusively Democrat party members….which makes me wonder why over 90% of blacks vote (and have voted for decades) for Democrat politicians…but I digress.  Anyway, for the left to be so self-righteous and sanctimonious in the way they’re going after Congressman Scalise about his one-time speaking to a Klan-affiliated group over a decade ago (and why wasn’t this brought up before now?), is truly breathtaking.  Its time these self-righteous, and sanctimonious, liberal, Democrat blowhards are called on their hypocrisy on camera.  Tools..

CNN claims politicians’ kids are off limits. What about Bristol Palin?

CNN has reported at length on the rise and fall of Elizabeth Lauten, the Republican congressional aide who resigned Monday after criticizing the first daughters in a weekend Facebook post.

And yet, what about Bristol Palin?  Again, another breathtaking example of the duplicity and hypocrisy of the dominantly liberal mainstream media.

Mark Levin: Dems Criticizing Obama Must Be Racist

Talk radio host and author of “The Liberty Amendments,” Mark Levin suggested that Democratic candidates who have distanced themselves from the president are racists on Wednesday.

What a brilliant point by lawyer-turned talk radio host, Mark Levin!  For over five years, the Dems, the dominantly liberal media, and others have been saying that conservatives and Republicans who criticize Obama MUST be racist.  They have been playing that race card (showing THEIR racism) ever since Obama was nominated back in 2008, and beating that drum non-stop.  Frankly, its probably the only reason that Obama got re-elected.  Republicans were simply too afraid of being labeled racist.  Now, these same Dems running for election and re-election are (because its an election year, and Obama is VERY unpopular) criticizing their president.  So, does that make THEM racist now?  The media should ask that question of these Dems on camera and in debates, and expose their hypocrisy.  And liberal media personalities like Chris Matthews at MSNBC and others in the liberal media who have played that race card with respect to conservatives should be challenged with that same hypocrisy on camera.  Absolutely brilliant!!  🙂
