Opinion: The left’s poisoning of the educational infrastructure

Courtesy of our educational infrastructure having been transformed into leftist indoctrination centers, the result is politicians who care only about ideology where citizens are collateral damage in their march toward a leftist utopia. Our media is populated with news-actors who are similarly bound to their teachers’ idols of social justice, political correctness and identity politics. All of our institutions are suffering from the twin masters of identity politics and woke philosophy. In New York City during the riots, two individuals were arrested for attempting to bomb a marked New York Police Department cruiser with a Molotov cocktail. Upon arrest, police found additional material in the car to make more Molotov cocktails, and the booking complaint alleges they intended to hand out the bombs to other rioters. The kicker? Both of the suspects are lawyers. One, Colinford Mattis, a 32-year-old man had been working with a corporate law firm in New York City, and is a graduate of Princeton University. The other, Urooj Rahman, a 31-year old woman, is a graduate of Fordham Law School and was admitted to the bar in 2019. On her Facebook page, she fashions herself a “human rights lawyer.” His background as an “anti-poverty intern” for a mayor of San Francisco was listed on LinkedIn, as well as being president of the Princeton Black Student Union. With such promising backgrounds and illustrious educations, we must ask, what went wrong? Education went wrong, which is a dangerous realization, considering its importance not just as a conveyer of information, but as an important and formidable influence on character and values. With the breakdown of the American family, for many, the leftist indoctrination at the academy is the only instruction on life and principles to which they’ve been exposed. On Twitter, the Federalist’s Molly Hemingway noted, “Battle lines are more clearly being drawn these days, between those who clearly believe America is irredeemably evil and must be violently overthrown and those who believe America remains the greatest country on earth, based on rule of law, individual liberty, and inalienable rights. Decades of public education have given the former group a *huge* advantage, reinforced by media that awards itself prizes to indoctrinate message. The seriousness of that side now being impossible to ignore, however, finally forces the rule of law side to realize the fight must be engaged.” As leftists consumed public education, they accepted open-minded young people into their realm and are now vomiting them back up as heartless anarchists. The issue is not just at Ivy League institutions, it is a systemwide problem. Case in point is brought to us by the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). In the midst of violent rioting in dozens of cities across the United States, and on the same night rioters set fire to Washington, D.C.’s historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, Sarah Parcak, a faculty member of UAB went to Twitter encouraging people to topple a local monument she deemed a racist insult. “Ms. Parcak began coaching rioters about how to tear down monuments as networks covered the unrest in Washington on Sunday night. ‘PSA for ANYONE who might be interested in how to pull down an obelisk* safely from an Egyptologist who never ever in a million years thought this advice might come in handy,’ Ms. Parcak tweeted. She went on to fire off more than a dozen tweets demonstrating how protesters could topple obelisks …,” The Washington Times reported. On Parcak’s bizarre tweet frenzy encouraging mayhem, Mark Bauerlein, the editor of First Things Magazine, a journal on religion and public life, said, “The crucial point in this maniacal tweet is that this professor has been honored by TED, the Smithsonian, and the Guggenheim,” and asked, “Many advocates of disorder now occupy elite institutions that have in the past been the guarantors of order. Who let them in?” Kyle Shideler, the director/senior analyst for homeland security and counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy, has the most direct answer: “They took over the academy and all credentialing. The middle and lower-middle-class families in this country paid millions to let the Weather Underground raise their kids in hopes they would climb the social ladder,” as he responded on social media. A Fox News producer inquired with UAB if it had any comment about a faculty member encouraging the destruction of property and mayhem on a night when the nation was aflame in violence. UAB responded, “These are not the opinions of the university. Our 45,000+ students, faculty and staff often use social media to express thoughts that do not necessarily reflect the voice of the university. If a public comment by a member of the campus community needs to be addressed by Student Affairs or Human Resources, it would be. However, personnel and student conduct matters are addressed privately between the individual and the institution.” Whoever Mattis’ and Rahman’s professors were, they weren’t out fixing up Molotov cocktails Sunday night, but for some reason their young charges allegedly were. And Parcak was no doubt comfortable in a chair during the 10 p.m. hour on a Sunday as she was tweet-inciting others to put themselves and their futures at great risk. Why put yourself on the line when others who look up to you are too naive to know you’re stuffing them into a cannon?

No kidding…  Thanks to Tammy Bruce for that outstanding op/ed.  Tammy is president of Independent Women’s Voice, is a radio talk-show host, and a New York Times best-selling author.   Excellent!!    🙂

NFL players’ union teamed up with George Soros to fund leftist advocacy groups

Even before its feud over the national anthem with President Trump, the NFL Players Association wasn’t on the same political team as many of its fans, judging from its contributions to leftist advocacy groups. Tax documents released by 2ndVote show the NFLPA donated $5,000 in 2015 to the Center for Community Change Action, a group active in the anti-Trump resistance and bankrolled by a host of liberal foundations, including top Democratic donor George Soros’s Foundation for Open Society. A member of the AFL-CIO, the NFLPA also contributed in 2013 and 2015 to Working America, the AFL-CIO’s community affiliate, which Open Secrets said spent $1 million in 2016 to defeat Mr. Trump. Working America has since mobilized against the Republican tax-cut framework, denouncing it as the “Trump tax scam.” The NFLPA contributed $5,000 in 2014 to Jobs with Justice, another pro-union group backed by Mr. Soros, and $5,000 in 2013 to the progressive Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy. The NFLPA donations from 2013, 2014 and 2015 were made before Mr. Trump was elected.

As if we needed another reason to NOT watch or support the NFL..   Wow..

Left-wing activists launch ‘No Red Cross’ campaign, ask for donor dollars

Activists are discouraging Hurricane Harvey donors from giving to the American Red Cross and urging them instead to contribute to left-wing causes, some of which are advocacy groups engaged in little if any emergency relief work. Linda Sarsour, a prominent Muslim and feminist activist, sent out a tweet encouraging donors to give to the Texas Organizing Project Education Fund, which conducts “direct action organizing, grass-roots lobbying and electoral organizing led by working families in Texas.” “TOP is one of many organizations on this list you can choose to support,” Ms. Sarsour said in a Wednesday tweet that included the #NoRedCross hashtag. “Grassroots orgs on ground. Long term needed.” The Texas Organizing Project, which has fought Texas voter ID laws and supported sanctuary-state status, is part of the Hurricane Harvey Community Relief Fund, a coalition that includes labor groups such as the Service Employees International Union as well as Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. “Together we will organize and advocate for our devastated communities, shining a spotlight on inequalities that emerge in the restoration of lives, livelihoods and homes, amplifying the needs of hard-hit communities, and providing legal assistance for residents wrongfully denied government support,” the coalition says on its fundraising page. The conservative site Twitchy opined, “DISGUSTING: Linda Sarsour is soliciting donations for a liberal political group masquerading as a Harvey relief fund,” while the Federalist’s Sean Davis called it a scam.

Indeed it is!  What kind of nauseating loser would tell you NOT to support, or donate to, the American Red Cross, especially in  time of crisis?!?  That’s how low these self-serving, extreme liberal maggots have sunk and how they operate.  You think “price gauging” of water and gas is bad..  That’s nothing..  They want your money to support their liberal, anti-America, anti-capitalism, socialist activism..  Antifa, The “Texas Organizing Project, and the rest of these vermin are all the same thing.  And, they’re being backed by many federal and state Democrat politicians (unless they’re publicly shamed, like Rep. Nancy Pelosi) and the more extreme liberal elements of the dominantly liberal mainstream media…like MSNBC.  Keep that in mind..when they ask for your hard-earned money.  If anything, give them the finger and donate to the American Red Cross; an organization actually out there help those suffering in Texas.

Antifa Has A New Cell In Philly, And They’re Calling For Property Seizures, Violence On Police, And All-Out Revolution

An armed Antifa group is launching a new cell in Philadelphia, with support from the “alt-left” alternative media. The group currently hosts anti-police workshops called “Our Enemies in Blue.” The group draws inspiration from convicted murderers and calls for violence against the police, theft of goods, and armed insurrection. Antifa websites like It’s Going Down, Sub.Media and Insurrection News have been promoting the group, which calls itself the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement, calling on their readers to donate to a Fundrazr account for the creation of the new cell. The press release the group published in far-left media is filled with hyperbolic claims about how “mosques are being ruthlessly bombed” and how “LGBTQ are being battered.” “The destruction of black life continues unabated as millions languish in the plantations of the modern day slave system,” the group states. Taking pride in the “legacy” of “Philadelphia’s rich revolutionary tradition,” RAM cites Mumia Abu Jamal, the Black Panther activist who shot and killed Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. It also cites Russell Shoats, who shot a police officer in the back five times in 1970. Similar to Antifa, the actions of the Black Panthers have been described as having a “very undefined purpose of assaulting police officers.”

Chicago ACORN Affiliated Group Connected to Barack Obama Shuts Down

A liberal activist group connected to both the disgraced and now defunct group ACORN and Barack Obama is closing its doors in Chicago, citing troubles raising funds. In a public notice, Chicago’s Project Vote informed supporters that it would “suspend operations indefinitely” starting May 31. “The decision was made by the board of directors and management of Project Vote,” the notice read, “and it was not made lightly.” “The funding environment for voting rights and civic engagement work has never been easy,” the statement continued, “and it has grown increasingly challenging over the past few years as foundations have cut back on their giving… competition for limited funding has increased.” The group went on to insist that its lack of a “diverse portfolio of work” has made it practically impossible to raise enough funds to continue its activism. After listing some of its successes, the statement went on to thank its employees and supporters and noted some of the foundations that supported them in the past. The list included the Agua Fund, the Arkay Foundation, CREDO Mobile, the Herb Blok Foundation, and several others. The statement ended on an anti-Trump note saying, “We had hoped to spend this year pushing back against the Trump administration’s inevitable attack on voting rights” and hoped that other groups would continue the fight. Chicago’s Project Vote was part of a series of left-wing activist groups that served to help a young Barack Obama cut his “community organizer” teeth when he first came to the Windy City after finishing his education. Not long after law school, after Obama had moved back to Chicago full time, the future president joined some of the efforts of the ACORN-sponsored Project Vote to being his political career. In 1992 Obama directed a Chicago voter registration drive for Project Vote. The effort served as one of his earliest introductions into Chicago’s liberal establishment and became a stepping stone for his first run for public office in 1996, when he became an Illinois state Senator serving in Springfield, the state’s capital. Project Vote was likely working on some of the same projects with the now defunct ACORN liberal activist group during the time Obama was running his voter registration drive. But the two organizations didn’t become officially associated until a short time after Obama worked with Project Vote. The future president did work with ACORN directly between 1992 and 2004 when he was contracted by the group to help train its employees. ACORN was later disgraced and revealed as corrupt. It closed its doors after Breitbart News founder Andrew Breitbart, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, and insider activist Anita MonCreif teamed up to release information, as well as a series of videos, showing ACORN willingly breaking laws to further its left-wing causes. ACORN suspended its operations in September of 2009.

And that’s just the half of it..  As a result of such revelations, the FBI investigated ACORN, for which Obama was it’s general counsel, and ultimately handed down several indictments…which then lead to many of the satellite offices having to close their doors, and many associated with that corrupt organization going to prison.  Yep..  That’s where Obama “cut his teeth” as a community organizer..   Loser..

Republicans Facing Violence, Death Threats From Left-Wing Activists

Republicans going home to talk to their constituents are facing violence and death threats, with some lawmakers upping security at town hall events — a consequence of a culture of violence being fostered by left-wing activists and their allies in the liberal media. In the lead up to the passage of ObamaCare in 2010, conservatives were vocal at town halls and other forums in their opposition to the law. Yet, despite a great deal of speculation and fearmongering by the media, town hall events were almost entirely free of violence or threats of harm. As the Democrats seek to mirror that opposition against President Trump and the Republican health care bill, the same commitment to non-violence is not there. Using similar tactics to “Antifa” activists opposing conservative speakers on college campuses, some anti-Trump activists are disrupting events and even resorting to threats and acts of violence. A man was arrested last week for threatening Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ) in voicemail messages, telling her that her days “were numbered” because of her support for the president. The Arizona Republic reported that her district is one of the most evenly divided in the nation, but the threats are especially disturbing as she represents the district represented by former Democratic Rep. Gabby Giffords, who was shot in the head in 2011. McSally faced one of the more extreme crowds at a town hall in February where she was heckled as activists carried signs saying, “Stop Trump’s crusade of hate” and “No! This fascist regime must be stopped before it starts.” Some threats, allegedly from Steven Martan who was arrested by the FBI, say: “Martha our sights are set on you, right between your (expletive) eyes” and “Can’t wait to (expletive) pull the trigger (expletive),” according to the Republic. This month, a woman was arrested after she allegedly attempted to drive Rep. David Kustoff (R-TN) off the road over his support of the Republican health care bill after an event. When the car stopped, she is alleged to have attacked the car, hitting the windows and reaching inside the car. She was arrested after she bragged about it on Facebook. While tempting to dismiss as one-off incidents, the threats and attacks come amid a backdrop of a culture of violence among the left. Riots, once a rare occurrence in America, now seem commonplace from leftist thugs in the era of Trump. Hundreds of people were arrested for rioting on Trump’s Inauguration Day alone, and college campuses have seen threats and violence should they dare to invite a conservative speaker onto campus. This has even been promoted to an extent by some liberal media outlets. In addition to the general hysteria and misinformation being pushed by some outlets (such as the false claim spread by a number of outlets that the health care reform bill would “make sexual assault a pre-existing condition”), there have been outright calls for harassment.

As we’ve been saying from day one here at The Daily Buzz…  Liberals are all for free speech…that they agree with.  Then, they’re all about shutting it down.  It is they who are the real fascists, and they continue to use these bullying tactics we’ve seen for years.  But, it has now escalated to a whole new level where Republican legislators, conservative teachers (whoever many are left in America), and others are being not only harassed, but physically attacked.  We as a nation need to put a stop this crap.  If you see these self-righteous, entitlement-minded, liberal so-called “activists” crossing that line from speech (which IS protected) to bullying and/or worse, then stand up to it.  And, be sure to take pics or videos with your smart phone and call your local police…and give that evidence to them so they can arrest and properly charge these punks.  Free speech works BOTH ways; NOT just how fanatical liberals want it to.
