Chance the Rapper on Trump-Kanye friendship: ‘Black people don’t have to be democrats’

Chance the Rapper chimed in on social media Wednesday amid fellow artist Kanye West’s Twitter rant, during which the latter shared praise for his “brother” President Trump. “Black people don’t have to be democrats,” Chance tweeted, seemingly referring to West’s tweets. And a follow-up tweet later on read, “Next President gon be independent. The reaction came after West talked politics during the tweetstorm that began Tuesday and carried into Wednesday. “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” West first tweeted. “We are both dragon energy,” he continued. “He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.” He also shared a photo of a “Make America Great Again” hat, which appeared to be signed by the president. The president took to Twitter to thank the rapper for the praise, adding “very cool!”

Kanye isn’t exactly a role model..  But, we’ll give the man credit for taking this stand, which isn’t very popular in the rap community.

Taylor Swift Irked by ‘Misogynistic’ Kanye West Lyrics, Says Rep

Taylor Swift is not amused with Kanye West’s “famous” new lyrics. According to the pop star’s publicist, Swift didn’t approve of the new song “Famous,” which debuted during West’s “Yeezy Season 3” event on Thursday. The track includes a few digs at Swift: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.” “Kanye did not call for approval,” her spokesman said of the track. “But to ask Taylor to release his single Famous on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’” The lyrics raised a few eyebrows on social media after debuting on Tidal’s live stream. Swift’s younger brother, Austin, was among Kanye’s biggest critics, posting a clip of himself throwing out a pair of Yeezy shoes on Instagram with the caption: “Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again.” In 2009, West famously interrupted Swift during her win at the MTV Video Music Awards, but the two seemed like they made up at last year’s Grammy Awards. West’s new album, “The Life of Pablo,” has not been officially released despite playing in its entirety at the Madison Square Garden event on Thursday.

Kanye is such a pig..  Good on Taylor for, again, taking the higher road.  Oh, and Kanye.. Newsflash..  You DID not make Taylor “famous.”  She was already that…LONG before you made a fool of yourself at the 2009 MTV awards when you snagged the mic out of her hand as she was accepting an award.  What a piece of garbage he is…

Shirley Manson Goes After ‘Small and Petty’ Kanye West for Grammy Rant

Female rocker Shirley Manson took to her Facebook page on Monday to go after rapper Kanye West for dismissing Beck as an artist, describing him as “small and petty,” among other things. Alternative rock artist Beck took home the Album of the Year award at Sunday night’s Grammys, but in accepting the accolade, Beck inadvertently drew the ire of Kanye West. In a rant after the show, Kanye blasted both the Grammys and Beck, who he said needed to “respect artistry” and “should’ve given his award to Beyoncé.”

We try and avoid the whole celeb thing here at The Daily Buzz. There are plenty of sources in the checkout lanes at your local grocery story for that sorta irrelevant nonsense. But, every once in a while a story catches our eye, and so..what the heck? The real story here is.. Why do the Grammy’s continue to allow an obnoxious tool like Kanye West to attend their annual ceremonies after what he did back in 2009? Remember the way he treated Taylor Swift back in 2009, when Taylor won her award, and Kayne went up, snagged it out of her hand and went on some strange rant that it should have been awarded to Beyoncé? As you may recall..Taylor, who at the time was like 19, handled it with class and grace. Kanye should have been dragged off stage by security, and thrown out the back door. Well, apparently the Grammys allowed that oxygen thief to return, and he did it again…This time the target was Beck. And, btw.. What is his, pathological, and bizarre infatuation with Beyoncé anyway? Does someone need to remind Kanye that she’s married? Or is it some racial thing? I’m thinking its probably a combination of both. What a loser.. Anyway, I’m no fan of Ms. Manson.. But, he response here is spot on. Frankly, I think she’s being WAY too nice.
