More than a quarter million Muslims have become registered voters since the last presidential election, a Muslim group reported on Tuesday. In June there were 824,000 registered Muslim voters whose first, middle or last names matched a list of 43,538 traditionally Muslim names, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which used a private national database of voter information. That number represents a significant bump from the 500,000 voters the group accounted for in 2012, using the same method. One reason for the surge, CAIR suggests, is “increased political involvement resulting from rhetorical attacks on that faith community by public figures.” While the press release does not mention GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump by name, it does contain two links to articles about how the candidate is “attacking Muslims” and “fueling prejudice, hate incidents.” CAIR government affairs director Robert McCaw applauded the Muslim community for its efforts to get out the vote, and slammed “hostile” proposals made by Trump over the course of his campaign, including a ban on Muslims entering the United States. “As a community under the pressure of hostile political rhetoric calling for profiling of American Muslims, Muslim immigration bans and warrantless surveillance of mosques, we must utilize all the tools of positive civic engagement to preserve religious freedom and other constitutional rights,” said McCaw. Earlier in the month, CAIR launched a nonpartisan voter campaign, titled “Muslims Vote,” to encourage increased participation by American Muslims in the 2016 election cycle. The campaign looks for ways to get American Muslims involved in a number of activities, including volunteering, voter registration and hosting candidate forums. There were 3.3 million Muslims of all ages in the United States in 2015, the Pew Research Center reported in January, representing about 1 percent of the U.S. population.
And with all of these Muslim so-called “refugees” being imported by our idiot-in-chief, that is only the beginning. CAIR is a self-serving, lying, agenda-driven, Muslim terrorist-supporting group. They have been investigated by the FBI and other law enforcement for their support of Muslim terrorists. So, their belly-aching doesn’t hold much credibility.
A federal discrimination lawsuit filed by a Muslim activist group against a Florida gun retailer owner who declared his shop a “Muslim-Free Zone” has been dismissed. U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom ruled that Florida Gun Supply owner Andy Hallinan’s sign was protected by the First Amendment, and the activists couldn’t prove they were injured by the action, a local NBC affiliate reported. The plaintiff, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Florida, has 30 days to appeal the decision. Mr. Hallinan made headlines earlier this year when he declared his Inverness store a “Muslim-free zone” in the wake of the shooting of four servicemen outside a recruiting office in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by an Islamic extremist. CAIR announced the lawsuit against the gun store in July, saying the Muslim-free zone amounted to religious discrimination, violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The suit had demanded an injunction against Florida Gun Supply to prohibit it from discriminating against Muslims and others on the basis of religion. “American Muslims have a right to browse and purchase guns, take classes on gun safety and shoot guns at a range without having to be profiled and discriminated,” Hassan Shibly, chief executive director of CAIR Florida, said at the time the suit was filed, NBC reported. “Such discrimination is not only illegal, it is bad for our country and makes us less safe and less free,” Mr. Shibly said. The organization said the policy is a violation of federal law. Shortly after the court’s decision to drop the case, Mr. Hallinan posted a video to Facebook celebrating the victory and said he will give out bumper stickers for customers to turn their vehicles into Muslim-free zones. He is also selling “jihadist targets” for shooting practice.
While this guy is a bit of a redneck, and is being a bit obnoxious.. he has a point. AND, he has every right to do this. Freedom of association is a constitutional right. So, this judge’s ruling is exactly right. CAIR can go play with itself, preferably in the middle of a busy highway. What a bunch of self-righteous, anti-America, pro-Islamic terrorist apologists.
Wednesday CNN’s “Newsroom,” senior editor from the The Islamic Monthly and former National Legal Director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Arsalan Iftikhar, who recently accused Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) of “trying to scrub some of the brown off his skin,” said hate crimes and “Islamophobia is real and growing in America today” because of Hollywood. Iftikhar said, “Not just ‘American Sniper’ with Bradley Cooper, but if you look at Hollywood’s overall depiction of Muslims and Arabs after 9/11. Whether it’s the show ‘Homeland’ on Showtime with Claire Danes, or the Fox show ’24’ with Kiefer Sutherland, we have seen this ongoing narrative as the proverbial boogie man, the bad brown people next door. And we are starting to see that resonate in terms of hate crimes, and with America Muslims being one of the most hated demographic groups in the United States today. Islamophobia is real and growing in America today.”
Can you believe the nerve of this guy?!? And did ya catch what he said about Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA)? As I’ve been saying from day one, it is liberals who are the real racists.. CAIR is a front for a variety of Islamo-fascist groups. So, this is very self-serving of him to say all of this. HollyWEIRD isn’t out there beheading people or setting them on fire. It just makes films. That’s all. And, in the case of some of these shows (and I am a HUGE fan of 24!), its just art imitating reality. This guy just can’t stand looking in the mirror. As for the term “Islamophobia.”… Again, a “phobia” by definition is an “unreasonable or unfounded fear.” I think 9/11 created a FOUNDED fear, thankyouverymuch.
