Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter’s ‘BlackXmas’ only as non-racist as ‘WhiteXmas’

Black Lives Matter has started a campaign to get all the black people in America to boycott all the stores run by white people in America, and shop only those outlets owned and operated by black people. But don’t worry — that’s not racist. After all, the same people advocating for “BlackXmas” would be quite OK with a “WhiteXmas.” Right? Hmm. “We’re dreaming of a #BlackXmas,” tweeted #BlackLivesMatter-LA. @BLMA, as the Daily Caller noted. So what’s that mean? Well, the tweet goes on and explains: “…where folks withhold dollars from White capitalism and use resources to #BuildBlackCommunity. Instead of spending, DONATE to a Black organization as a holiday gift for your loved ones or #BuyBlack. Go to BlackXmas.org for more.” Honestly, the proper American reaction to this ought to be a shoulder shrug. It’s good to use one’s First Amendment right to protest — even when that protest takes a turn toward deciding where to spend money. After all, Americans are free to spend how they want, free to exercise their personal purchasing powers as they see fit, free to determine whether or not to buy something — oh, wait, except for Obamacare, of course. But for Christmas shopping? Well, that’s all personal choice, all individual determination. So it’s quite fitting that Black Lives Matter might want its members and supporters to put a little money where their mouths are, and stay far away from businesses they believe are counter to their messages and principles. That’s the American way; that’s the capitalistic approach; that’s the constitutional-like manner of living. The problem comes into the picture when those of other races wouldn’t be as free to live that same freedom dream, absent criticism and cries of outrage. “This season, more than others, Black Lives Matter is asking people to wake up, to be conscious of our own economic power and to protest — not just in the streets — but in the malls,” wrote Melina Abdullah, a Black Lives Matter organizer, in a 2016 opinion piece for the Los Angeles Sentinel, the Daily Caller noted. “Black Lives Matter is dreaming of and building for a #BlackXMas, where we divest from White corporations and invest in building Black community. Rather than lining the pockets of Trump and other White-supremacist capitalists, donate to Black-led organizations that are building new, liberatory [sic] structures in our communities.” Well and good. First Amendment freedoms, and so forth and so on. But by the same token, so should be a #WhiteXmas. What’s good for a #BlackXmas gander is good for a #WhiteXmas goose. What’s racist or not racist for #BlackXmas is similarly racist or not racist for #WhiteXmas. And sadly, that’s where the breakdown occurs.

Indeed!!  And well said, Cheryl!  Cheryl K. Chumley is responsible for that spot-on op/ed.  Just fathom if a “White Lives Matter” organization (just fathom that notion alone!) tried to do the same thing, and advocated that white people divest of black businesses and support only white businesses, etc.  Wow..  The self-righteous, and brazenly hypocritical race hustlers (i.e. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, etc. etc) would be having protests, marches and on and on..  They’d demand “justice!”  And, the dominantly liberal mainstream media (especially MSNBC, CNN, and their ilk) would be all over it like white on rice (oops!  is that racially-charged?)….for weeks on end, and we ALL know it.  The hypocrisy of BLM is truly breathtaking.  And, they’re probably too dumb to even get it..

Black Lives Matter, police-focused NFL protests overlook rising black-on-black homicides

Lost in the uproar over the NFL sideline protests against police brutality are newly released statistics showing that the threat to black men is skyrocketing — not from trigger-happy or racist cops, but from crime. More than any other demographic group, black men are paying the price with their lives with a surging violent crime rate over the past two years, including a 20 percent jump in the overall homicide rate, even as the number of blacks killed by police declines. Using homicide figures from the 2016 FBI Uniform Crime Report released Sept. 25, Manhattan Institute fellow Heather Mac Donald found that the number of black homicide victims has jumped by nearly 900 per year since the Black Lives Matter movement took root in 2014. “The majority of victims of that homicide surge have been black,” Ms. Mac Donald said in an email. “They were killed overwhelmingly by black criminals, not by the police and not by whites.” Meanwhile, the number of blacks killed by police dipped from 259 in 2015 to 233 in 2016, with 2017 so far coming in below both years with 175 deaths as of Oct. 12, according to The Washington Post’s Fatal Force database.

This troubling trend is something that the dominantly liberal mainstream media refuses to report on.  Typical…   To read the rest of this article, click on the text above.

FBI cites black extremists as new domestic terrorist threat

The 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., has spawned a violent domestic threat from “black identity extremists” who have stepped up attacks on police, according to an explosive new report by the FBI’s counterterrorism division. The warning, first reported by Foreign Policy magazine, says that “it is very likely BIEs proactively target police and openly identify and justify their actions with social-political agendas commensurate with their perceived injustices against African Americans …” Brown, an African-American 18-year-old, was shot in August 2014 after struggling with white police officer Darren Wilson. Although Brown’s supporters claimed it was a deadly case of police brutality, Wilson was cleared of wrongdoing and resigned in November 2014. Police officials said that Wilson stopped Brown after getting a call about a robbery at a convenience store in which the clerk was strong-armed after the suspect – with whom Brown was a match — attempted to leave. Wilson and Brown got into a scuffle as Brown reportedly reached for the police officer’s gun, and Wilson then gave chase, shooting him. Brown’s family said he had his hands up when he was shot, police said it was untrue. The shooting led to protests in Ferguson that then spread to other parts of the country. It gained added momentum after subsequent racially charged police shootings, spurred on via social media and the group Black Lives Matter. The FBI report said that the agency previously had analyzed the potential for violence of black identity extremism, a term that was unfamiliar before it appeared in the document. What has changed, according to the report, is that violence has now actually occurred and is ‘likely” to continue. “It is very likely that BIEs’ perceptions of unjust treatment of African-Americans and the perceived unchallenged illegitimate actions of law enforcement will inspire premeditated attacks against law enforcement over the next year,” the report said. “It is very likely additional controversial police shootings of African-Americans and the associated legal proceedings will continue to serve as drivers for violence against law enforcement.” Attacks in which police officers are targeted have been on the rise in recent years. The most high-profile such incident occurred last year in Dallas, when a gunman named Micah Johnson hid in a parking garage and fired on 11 police officers, killing five of them, during a protest against officer-involved shootings. The FBI report noted that Johnson referred to anger over police shootings and toward whites as what drove him to kill the five police officers. The FBI report drew accusations of racial profiling. DeRay Mckesson of Black Lives Matter told The Guardian the terrorism report echoes the days when the FBI tracked activist groups including the NAACP and those that opposed wars. “We knew that we were likely being watched,” said Mckesson, a longtime critic of government monitoriing of protest groups. “This is confirmation that the work of social justice continues to threaten those in power.” The Guardian also quoted an unnamed source it described only as a former senior official from the Department of Homeland Security saying that the category “black identity extremist” was troubling. “This is a new umbrella designation that has no basis,” the source is quoted as saying. “There are civil rights and privacy issues all over this.” But others say that the FBI is correctly sounding an alarm about a serious trend. “It’s not racial profiling, it’s violence profiling,” Scott Walter, president of Capital Research Center, a conservative think tank, told Fox News. “Identity politics can kill, whether it’s white identity politics, which killed in Charlottesville, or black identity politics, which kills cops.” “We have to be able to distinguish between free speech and violence,” Walter said. “[Many] longtime [black] activist groups were not obsessed with violence.” Randy Sutton, a former Las Vegas law enforcement official who now is the national spokesman for Blue Lives Matter, told Fox News that the FBI report makes official what he and others in police work have been observing in recent years. “Nobody is saying anything negative about protests,” Sutton said, “Protesting is everyone’s right. This is about commiting acts of violence. Many Black Lives Matter protests call for violence against police, with chants like ‘What do we want?’ and ‘Dead cops!’ It’s terrorism, and it’s no different than Islamic terrorism.” Sutton said the rising number of ambush attacks on police has had a chilling effect on how they do their jobs. “Police are not being as aggressive because of the political climate,” he said. “There’s been a dramatic decrease in proactive policing.”

Of course! ..  In large part because they don’t want to be on the evening news, and then brought up on charges the next day…for doing their jobs.  That climate is thanks to Obama, former AG Eric Holder, and others in the last administration that coddled the race hustlers.  And, now that has come back to bite us all in the butt.   There is absolutely ZERO question that Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a domestic terrorist organization.  If you doubt that, just Google some videos of them marching and calling for death to cops and so on.  It’s not even moot.  The FBI is simply reporting on a trend that started about 7 years ago, and has only gotten worse.  So, kudos to the FBI for issuing this report, and not sweeping it under the rug.  It’s a starting point.  Now, what to do about it?

Black Lives Matter Co-Founder: Hate Speech ‘Is Not Protected Under the First Amendment’

On Monday’s broadcast of “MSNBCLive,” Black Lives Matter co-founder and Executive Director and Founder of Dignity Now Patrisse Cullors argued that hate speech isn’t protected by the First Amendment and white supremacists are “directly related” to President Trump’s policies. Cullors said, “David Duke and the white supremacists who showed up to Charlottesville, that is Trump’s base. And that base is not isolated. It’s not — it’s directly related to Trump’s policies and the policies that have continued to harm and kill black people and our allies. I think we’re seeing a movement of white nationalists rising up because they’ve been emboldened by trump and his government. And I really want to invite people to be on the right side of history right now.” She added, “I think what’s important in this moment is white nationalists are actually fighting to take away people’s rights. Black Lives Matter and groups like Black Lives Matter are fighting for equality. And hate speech, which is what we’re seeing coming out of white nationalist groups, is not protected under the First Amendment rights.”

Umm…WRONG!!  The First Amendment to our great Constitution absolutely covers speech that some might find objectionable.  That was the whole point of it!  And, in fact, that speech which is controversial has always been afforded a higher protection from the Courts for exactly that reason.  So, Ms. Cullors is 100% WRONG and someone oughtta school that self-righteous, sanctimonious, hypocritical, black racist, blowhard on some actual/real American civicis, and what our U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights actual say, and mean.  What a tool..  Of course MSNBC didn’t do their job and challenge her.  Typical..

Opinion: Trump Was Right to Condemn Violence on ‘Many Sides’ in Charlottesville

President Donald Trump reacted to Saturday’s violence in Charlottesville by condemning violence “on many sides.” His critics pounced, saying that he should have specifically condemned violence by white supremacists, and that by not doing so, he in fact condoned such violence. The critics are guilty of a double standard, and of exploiting the violence for political gain, widening America’s divisions at a time when national unity is the only proper course. First of all, as a factual matter, it is self-evident that there was violence on both sides on Saturday, though the attack in which a car plowed into a crowd of left-wing protesters stands apart as a despicable act. Two groups who have been fighting all over the country — white supremacists and so-called “anti-fascists” — went to Charlottesville to do the same, just as they did last summer in Sacramento, and just as they have elsewhere. Condemning one side alone would essentially have given the other side a pass for its tactics — and a political victory that neither deserved. Second, Trump’s critics never applied the same standard to Barack Obama. When five Dallas police officers were murdered in cold blood at a Black Lives Matter protest, Obama did not disavow the movement, nor did the media demand he do so. On the contrary, when he spoke at a memorial service for the police, he actually endorsed the movement and its goals: “I understand these protests — I see them. They can be messy. Sometimes they can be hijacked by an irresponsible few. Police can get hurt. Protesters can get hurt. They can be frustrated. But even those who dislike the phrase “black lives matter,” surely, we should be able to hear the pain of Alton Sterling’s family. … With an open heart, we can worry less about which side has been wronged, and worry more about joining sides to do right.”(Alton Sterling was shot by officers in Baton Rouge; he was armed and had allegedly threatened someone with a gun.) When presented with an opportunity to disavow his racist pastor, Jeremiah Wright, then-candidate Obama gave an entire speech about how he could not do so: “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother.” The media swooned and compared him to Abraham Lincoln. (He eventually disavowed Wright — but only after a substitute preacher, Michael Pfleger, attacked Hillary Clinton from the pulpit, at a time when Obama needed to consolidate Clinton supporters for the general election.) Third, many of those attacking Trump today did not make the same demand of Democrats just two months ago, when five Republicans were shot and wounded by a left-wing gunman in Alexandria. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even managed to blame Republicans for the shooting by allegedly inflaming political rhetoric during the Bill Clinton era. Fourth, the media and the Democrats blame Trump for violence even when he, and his supporters are the target of that violence. Last June in San Jose, California, Trump supporters were viciously attacked by left-wing thugs as they left a rally. Some media reported the riot as if Trump supporters had started the violence (“Trump supporters clash with protesters“), while Democrat Mayor Sam Liccardo blamed Trump and his campaign for what happened. Finally, the claim that Trump has failed to disavow white supremacists is a lie repeated from the 2016 campaign, when the media ignored Trump’s prior rejections of the Ku Klux Klan and claimed he had failed to denounce them. Trump even denounced racism earlier this year, in his address to Congress: ” Tonight, as we mark the conclusion of our celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of our Nation’s path toward civil rights and the work that still remains. Recent threats targeting Jewish Community Centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a Nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms.” The purpose of the lie is to connect Trump to white supremacists by implying that he has something to disavow. Many of Trump’s critics compounded that lie Saturday by recycling false claims about members of his staff. Trump’s critics are guilty of something worse than hypocrisy. They are trying to divide the country when the right thing to do is to stress common bonds, as Republicans did in June, though they were the targets. Trump’s critics tried the same tactics in 2016, and all they achieved was more hatred. It is well past time for the slander to stop.

When I first turned on the news and first learned of this event, the very first photo I saw was some white guy with a flag rolled up on its pole confronting a black guy who had turned some aerosol can into a torch and blasting a firey flame toward the white guy.  On it’s face, it wasn’t clear who was the instigator and who as the one fighting back.  But, what WAS clear, was that there were two sides; NOT just one side.  And, to suggest otherwise is disingenuous, hypocritical, and self-serving.  But, that’s par for the course for these self-righteous, sanctimonious, agenda-driven liberals in the media and elsewhere.  What started as a perfectly reasonable rally to counter the historical fascism of the left who continue to want to erase our history, turned into an ugly scene culminating in some lunatic driving his car through a crown killing an innocent woman.  That Hitler-loving loser should be put down like the dog he is.  BUT, Trump is exactly right.  There were elements on BOTH sides who escalated the situation and took advantage of the opportunity to further THEIR respective agendas.  Yeah, the Nazis and so on were there.  But, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) thugs were there with their baseball bats as well, lookin for a fight.  BOTH were at fault.  So, kudos to Trump for NOT playing the race card to further some self-serving agenda like Obama was notorious for doing.  Thanks to Joel B. Pollak for that outstanding op/ed.

Black Lives Matter claims ‘gun-toting racists’ incited by NRA to target minorities

An ongoing media battle between the National Rifle Association and Black Lives Matter continues unabated with a new ad on the incitement of “gun-toting racists.” Anger over an NRA ad with spokesperson Dana Loesch sparked a campaign by political activists in June to have it removed from social media. In addition to a planned Women’s March on the NRA’s headquarters for July 14, Black Lives Matter has released a YouTube video criticizing cops and “racists” who may be inspired by the NRA. “We’re talking about our lives here. When the NRA issues a public call to their constituents inciting violence against people who are constitutionally fighting for their lives, we don’t take that lightly,” a narrator says in YouTube video posted July 7. “We know that we are not safe, but we are not scared either. We will continue to produce media, teach students, march and protest to not only protect the First Amendment as fiercely as the NRA protects the Second [Amendment], but to protect our lives from gun-toting racists. We demand the NRA remove remove their dangerous propaganda videos narrated by conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch and Grant Stinchfield.” The ad in question features Mrs. Loesch criticizing the “resistance” movement against President Trump, along with activists who “smash windows, burn cars, shut down interstates and airports … until the only option left is for the police to do their jobs and stop the madness. … The only way to stop this violence of lies is with the clenched fist of truth.” Black Lives Matter’s video has attracted nearly 110,000 views since its debut. “Are they delusional?” the firearms advocacy website Bearing Arms responded Tuesday. “No officer wants to have to shoot anyone. No officer wants to put him or herself in harm’s way. When they have to draw their weapon they’re not just risking the other person’s life, they’re also risking their own.” “Freedom doesn’t mean destroying your hometown and looting like a crazy banshee,” Bearing Arms writer Beth Baumann continued. “Freedom means having your God-given rights protected. Freedom means protecting your rights in a peaceful manner.”

Agreed..  But it also means exercising those rights, even if it means doing so by defending yourself and your family with a firearm.  Kudos to St. Louis native Dana Loesch for standing firm and sticking up for our 2nd Amendment rights against anti-gun fascists like Black Lives Matter; a socialist, entitlement-minded, cop-hating, black racist, domestic terrorist organization.

College professor fired following racist remarks on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’

A New Jersey college professor who appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to defend a black-only Black Lives Matter event has been fired after the college’s president said she made racially insensitive comments on the show, according to reports. Essex County College in Newark announced Lisa Durden’s firing Friday. She taught communications and pop culture classes as an adjunct, the Newark Star-Ledger reported. On his June 6 show, Carlson and Durden, who is black, got into a heated exchange over the appropriateness of allowing only blacks to attend a Black Lives Matter event in New York City on Memorial Day. “Listen. What I say to that is boo-hoo-hoo,” she said. “You white people are angry because you couldn’t use your ‘white privilege’ card to get invited to the Black Lives Matter’s all-black Memorial Day celebration! Wow!” Two days after the show, the school suspended Durden with pay. She addressed the matter with school officials Tuesday, three days before the firing was announced. College president Anthony Munroe said Friday the Fox News appearance prompted calls from students, faculty and prospective students and their families “expressing frustration, concern and even fear that the views expressed by a college employee with influence over students would negatively impact their experience on the campus.” He noted that although Durden did not mention her affiliation with the school during the show or claim to be representing its views, “her employment with us and potential impact on students required our immediate review into what seemed to have become a very contentious and divisive issue.” Munroe went further in explaining his reasons for firing Durden in a lengthy statement — in which he invoked the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. “The character of this institution mandates that we embrace diversity, inclusion and unity,” he said. “Racism cannot be fought with more racism.”

Exactly..  And that’s all Lisa Durden is; a brazenly hypocritical, self-righteous, entitlement-minded, liberal, black racist.  And, at least this college president was smart enough to realize that she was bringing discredit to the school, and cut her loose.  Smart move.  To read the rest of this article, click on the text above.
