Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Bill O’Reilly vowed he would take on groups like left-wing storefront Media Matters, who he has been blamed for his departure at Fox News. O’Reilly credited host Sean Hannity for fighting back and described groups like Media Matters as “totalitarians” and called them “dangerous to the country.” Click here to read a partial transcript of that interview.
Sparks flew in NBC’s New York studios on Tuesday as author Bill O’Reilly arrived to talk about his new book and April ouster from Fox News Channel. “Today” show viewers who tuned in Tuesday morning witnessed the first major interview by Mr. O’Reilly since a spate of sexual harassment allegations ended his cable news domination. The former host of “The O’Reilly Factor” showed up ready to spar in a nearly 10-minute interview with host Matt Lauer. “You were probably the last guy in the world that they wanted to fire,” Mr. Lauer said of Mr. O’Reilly’s exit, which came after Fox reportedly spent $13 million settling harassment claims. The “Today” show host said it was it was inconceivable that network bosses would abandon their top ratings grabber “unless you have information that you think makes him —” “That’s not true,” Mr. O’Reilly countered. “Every allegation is a conviction [in the media],” Mr. O’Reilly said, while explaining why accusers received out-of-court settlements. “Did you ever have any human resources cases brought against you?” Mr. Lauer asked? “Not in 42 years,” Mr. O’Reilly replied. “Forty-two years I’ve been in this business. I’ve worked for 12 companies. Not one time did I have any interaction with [human resources] or have any complaints filed against me.” The two men then talked about sexual harassment claims made by a former Fox News clerical temp named Perquita Burgess. Mr. O’Reilly noted that she was charged with making a false police report in 2015. “She could have filed a false report in 2015 and still be telling the truth about you,” replied Mr. Lauer. “Look, anything is possible, all right? But it goes to credibility, doesn’t it? All right? If you look in totality, this was a hit job — a political and financial hit job.” “Is this a vast left-wing conspiracy?” asked the “Today” host. “No, ‘vast,’ and don’t be sarcastic. Don’t be sarcastic,” said the author. Mr. O’Reilly closed out the topic by saying his legal team would clear his name. “There are more things to come,” he said.
We have not doubt that’s true. Stay tuned!
Friday during a lengthy interview via Skype, former Fox News “The O’Reilly Factor” host Bill O’Reilly discussed his possible future plans with Newsmax TV’s John Bachman. O’Reilly said television could be in the works, or he could keep his presence on the Internet. “I may come back to television, it depends,” O’Reillys said. “We’re living in a pretty vicious age now. Whoever I work for is going to have to have a lot of courage to stop the far left from attacking sponsors and spreading lies about people.” “I may come back to television, or I may continue on the ‘net,” he said. “We tweeted during the Comey hearings. Three million people were involved with the tweeting that I did on that. This is a very powerful medium, as is Newsmax.” O’Reilly commended his former colleague Sean Hannity, who O’Reilly argued the same type of attacks properly.
Friday on Glenn Beck’s radio program, former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said the allegations of sexual harassment against him were the result of an organized “hit.” O’Reilly said, “This was a hit. In the weeks to come, we’re going to be able to explain some of it. It has to do with destroying voices that the far left and the organized left-wing cabal doesn’t like. That’s the general tone. I can’t get specific. There’s a lot of legality here.” He said soon he will expose, “this crew that goes in and terrorizes sponsors, that threatens people behind the scenes, that pays people to say things, we are going to name them, and it’s going to be a big big story.” He added “I’ll point you to an article that was very very seldom seen this week about nine corporations, big corporations that are now being targeted by organized left-wing groups funded by George Soros because they allegedly are profiting from President Trump’s immigration stance. You can Google the article. That gives you your roadmap.”
We very much look forward to hearing this story, when Bill is ready to share.
Monday on his “No Spin News” podcast posted on BillOReilly.com, host Bill O’Reilly addressed his departure from Fox News. O’Reilly said, “I am sad that I’m not on television anymore. I was very surprised how it all turned out. I can’t say a lot because there is so much stuff going on right now. But I can tell you that I’m very confident the truth will come out and when it does I don’t know if you are going to be surprised, but I think you are going to be as shaken as I am. There is a lot of stuff involved here. Now I can’t say any more because I just don’t want to influence the flow of information. I don’t want the media to take what I say and misconstrue it. You as a loyal O’Reilly listener have a right to know down the lane what happened, and we are working in that direction.”
And, we look certainly forward to learning more about Bill’s sudden firing at Fox News and the fallout from that. Of course, if/when we hear more, we’ll post it here at The Daily Buzz. To hear Bill saying this and more from today’s podcast, click on the text above
Bill O’Reilly will return to the airwaves six days after his departure from Fox News with a new podcast episode set to air Monday on his website. O’Reilly’s “No Spin News” will air Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Eastern, according to a promotional graphic posted to his website Sunday. The episode will mark a return for the popular news host just six days after his departure from Fox News, where he hosted the perennially top-rated O’Reilly Factor for two decades. O’Reilly exited last week after an investigation into five sexual harassment allegations leveled against him during his tenure at the network. In a statement after his departure, O’Reilly called the allegations against him “completely unfounded.” O’Reilly’s podcast will be made available to those with a premium subscription to his website. A subscription costs $49.95 per year, or $4.95 per month. The final episode of the retitled The Factor aired Friday night, with longtime Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld filling in for O’Reilly.
Fox News is cutting ties with Bill O’Reilly, the biggest star in its 20-year history, after mounting allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior prompted the network to end his program. “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations,” parent company 21st Century Fox said in a statement, “the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.” Wednesday’s decision seemed unimaginable a few short weeks ago, given O’Reilly’s long reign as the top-rated host in cable news. But the climate shifted dramatically after The New York Times reported on April 1 that O’Reilly or Fox had paid $13 million to settle five cases against him alleging sexual or other harassment. More than 50 advertisers withdrew from his prime-time show, and 21st Century Fox asked a law firm to investigate a complaint from a woman who said O’Reilly dropped efforts to make her a contributor in 2013 after she turned down his invitation to visit his hotel room. O’Reilly said in a statement Wednesday: “It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today. I will always look back on my time at Fox with great pride in the unprecedented success we achieved and with my deepest gratitude to all my dedicated viewers. I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.” O’Reilly, 67, had not previously commented on his status since leaving on vacation last week—he met Pope Francis Wednesday in a VIP line at the Vatican—but his lawyer issued a blistering statement Tuesday accusing his liberal opponents of a “smear campaign.” The statement said O’Reilly “has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.”
Agreed.. At best, this was handled VERY poorly by the Murdoch family. And, we suspect there will most definitely be a backlash against Fox News by Bill’s legion of fans, whom he didn’t even get to say goodbye to. Wow..
Newly unearthed photos of President Obama in Muslim garb underscore his deep ties to the faith — and possibly help explain his reluctance to call out radical Islam, Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly said Wednesday. The photos, aired on “The O’Reilly Factor,” were taken at the wedding of Obama’s half-brother, Malik Obama, in Maryland sometime in the early 1990s, O’Reilly said. They were not offered as evidence that Obama is Muslim, as some of his critics insist, but to show his “deep emotional ties” to the religion of his father and stepfather, O’Reilly said. “There is no question the Obama administration’s greatest failure is allowing the Islamic terror group ISIS to run wild, murdering thousands of innocent people all over the world, including many Muslims,” said O’Reilly. “Mr. Obama has never, never acknowledged that mistake, nor does he define the ISIS threat accurately. “That group is killing innocent people in order to impose a radical version of Islam on the world,” the newsman added. “The jihad is solely based on theology, perverted as it may be.” A similar photo emerged in 2008, when Obama was running for the Democratic presidential nomination against Hillary Clinton. In that photo, Obama was seen wearing a white turban and Muslim dress. The photo was sent to the influential Drudge Report, and Obama’s campaign blamed Clinton for the “smear.” “On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election,” then-Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said. The president reportedly met his older half-brother for the first time in 1985. Malik Obama now lives in a rural Kenyan village near Lake Victoria.

During his “Talking Points Memo” segment on Tuesday, “The O’Reilly Factor” host Bill O’Reilly explained that Americans have changed their stance on a number of issues, including immigration and Christianity and that has been to the detriment of the United States.
To read the memo, or watch the video, click on the text above. Bill O’., on balance, is correct here. We are rapidly approaching a point of no return if we do not get control of our southern border (and our immigration crisis in general); something Obama has been doing his level best to make worse for the last 6+ years. As we’ve been saying here at The Daily Buzz from day one.. It is absolutely critical that we BUILD THE WALL NOW!!!!!…and put U.S. Army National Guard troops physically ON the border with Mexico; NOT back about 40 miles as was done last summer. Would-be illegals must NOT be allowed to set one foot on U.S. soil, or they suddenly get all sorts of rights and so on….which creates all sorts of other problems. They understand how to play the system. That’s why they sneak across the border and THEN surrender to U.S. Border Patrol agents. They know that they’ll get detained for a day or two, and then get released as long as they promise to show up at a deportation hearing….which over 95% of them fail to show to….and then they just disappear into the streets of America. Countless gang members, drug cartel members, and other criminal (and terrorist) elements do that ALL day long. Yes, we have ISIS/ISIL right here in America, as well as violent gang members (MS-13, etc.), Mexican drug cartel members, and so on! That should terrify every single American citizen. It’s WAY past time that we put a screaching halt to that scary nonsense…and BUILD THAT WALL/FENCE NOW above and below ground (to prevent tunneling)…and then it is imperative that we keep those Army National Guard troops physically ON the border until that wall/fence is built once and for all….however long that takes. Simultaneously, we need to be deporting illegal aliens by the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands….paying particular attention to known gang members and already convicted “criminal aliens.” Declared presidential candidates from BOTH major political parties (including Hillary, Jeb Bush, and so on) have already hinted that they intend on making this worse here by granting more executive amnesty than Obama has already done. How frightening is that?!?!! And, just think…that’s just ONE component of this massive problem. Our immigration laws (which Obama is ignoring anyway) are outdated, and not serving our needs as a nation. Therefore, the only common sense short-term solution is to halt ALL immigration, both legal AND illegal, until we have totally secured the border AND have overhauled our broken immigration system and laws. Immigration should benefit the U.S. economy and be mindful of our national security concerns. Right now, terorrists from the middle east, drug cartel members, gang members and on on…are going through the legal immigration steps and coming here. In addition, we’re allowing all sorts of uneducated, unskilled immigrants to come here who are NOT benefitting our economy, and in fact are taking jobs away from American citizens…and are crushing our infrastructure. Either you’re a contributor to the economy, or you’re a parasite. It’s really that simple. And, we need to be having that type of honest discussion, regardless of who that might offend…and insist that our federally (and state) elected officials honestly address these issues; NOT pander for votes. Our nation is in jeapordy. We can no longer afford to keep kicking the can down the road….or worse, follow Obama and Hillary (and Jeb’s) lead.
Fox News host Bill O’Reilly told Jose Antonio Vargas — an illegal immigrant who boldly went public with his status a few years ago and turned to activism to achieve amnesty for others — that he didn’t have “an entitlement” to be in the United States.
There are many things on which Bill O’. and I disagree. For example, he is against the death penalty. I’m for it. But, in this case, Bill and I totally agree. These illegal aliens DO think they have a right, an entitlement, to be here. We also agree on the need to first secure the border before taking any action on immigration “reform.” Glad to see Bill telling this illegal alien to his face that he doesn’t “have an entitlement to be here.” Excellent!! 🙂
