Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said on Wednesday that NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio refusing to send in the National Guard to address the rioting “makes no sense.” Huckabee told “Fox & Friends” that it was wrong for de Blasio to claim the National Guard is not trained to help police quell violence. “Yes, they are. That is exactly what they are trained for. … His ignorance of that is stunning to me,” Huckabee said. Huckabee said that the National Guard is “carefully trained” and “know how to get into these situations” to handle them. De Blasio earlier Tuesday announced that the city’s curfew will be extended through the end of the week following yet another night of looting, destruction and “vicious attacks on police officers.” The decision to order residents to stay indoors from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. comes as De Blasio simultaneously urged local community leaders to “not let outsiders attack” by stepping forward, creating peace and taking charge of their neighborhoods. The Democrat’s administration so far has failed to stop roving bands of looters from ransacking everything from chain stores to mom-and-pop businesses in recent days. “We are going to ensure there are additional NYPD resources where they are needed,” de Blasio told reporters Tuesday while announcing the curfew extension. “We are going to work actively and strategically to stop any disorder, but again community leaders need to be a part of this effort.” When de Blasio was asked by a reporter if he intends to call in the National Guard for help – as many governors across the U.S. have done in hopes to quell rioting linked to George Floyd demonstrations – he poured cold water on the idea. “We do not need, nor do we think it is wise for the National Guard to be in New York City. Nor any armed forces,” he said. “When outside armed forces go into communities no good comes of it.” New York City implemented its first curfew in decades Monday night around 11 p.m. But before that even went into effect, the looting was well underway, particularly in the Manhattan and Bronx boroughs.
Wow.. Gov. Huckabee (R) is exactly right. Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (D) comments truly are stunningly ignorant. To borrow a Rush-ism.. He is a “glittering jewel of colossal ignorance,”…and equally incompetent. First of all.. The National Guard in peacetime is local to the state, and the commander in chief is that state’s governor. So, they are NOT “outside armed forces,” as he suggests. They are members of that state, and that community. They are citizen soldiers who are full time citizens, and part time soldiers and are specifically trained to support and augment civilian critical response agencies whether it is to support disasters from hurricanes and blizzards, or to supporting law enforcement in times like these. For him to suggest otherwise shows either his ignorance of that fact, which illustrates his incompetence for the job he holds, OR it illustrates his disdain for the military in general. It’s actually probably both, as he has on numerous occasions spoken out against the NYPD, oh…and remember, his daughter was arrested Saturday night for involvement in the protests/rioting that occurred there. Soo.. The seed probably doesn’t fall far from the de Blasio tree.. Bill de Blasio is arguably the most incompetent mayor of a big city in America. He is a disgrace.
Remember when New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio freed a bunch of jail inmates because he feared they might get the coronavirus? Well, at least 50 hit the street to victimize the naive civilians who elected him. Mind-blowing, right? So how did this dimwitted garment bag of dirt respond? De Blasio said: “I think it’s unconscionable just on a human level that folks were shown mercy and this is what some of them have done.” Shocker! I went to the thugs for comment, but they were deeply hurt that the mayor found their actions unconscionable, and swore that from now on, they’ll never mug again — if the mayor lets them out, gives them tickets to the next Mets game, and a hug. De Blasio will address the offer after he hits the gym across town. Just kidding – I think. I normally avoid ad hominem attacks, but de Blasio is not an actual hominem. He’s a walking stack of stupid, like Jenga with feet. He’s literally the biggest joke in American politics. It sucks that in a nation of adults, we’re ruled by idiot children, who choose to ignore the links between actions and consequences. Remember, as the coronavirus spread, de Blasio implored people to lead normal lives. And now his own actions spread crime like a virus. And let’s not forget this clown’s advice for citizens who see others failing to social distance. Fink on them! De Blasio told the people of New York to do the following to enforce social distancing: “When you see a crowd, when you see a line that’s not distanced, when you see a supermarket that’s too crowded – anything – you can report it right away so we can get help there to fix the problem. And now it’s as simple as taking a photo. All you got to do is take the photo, and put the location with it, and bang, send a photo like this, and we will make sure that enforcement comes right away.” Wow, he loves his Stasi. So first he tells people to ignore the virus. Then he sets loose thugs on the city. Then he asks fellow citizens to turn into narcs. What a creep. Someone should take a picture of him, and hang it at every post office: The most unwanted mayor in America. Or toss it in the bottom of a urinal and flatter him. I’d say lock him up, but then he’d only release himself to a parade he arranged – only to reoffend at a later date.
Mayor Bill de Blasio really is the biggest joke in politics. Remember when he was admonishing people NOT to go to the gym, and then the very next day he was caught going himself. And, when confronted about his brazen hypocrisy said that he needed to stay in shape to help in the fight against the virus. Wow.. That’s taking entitlement, and elitism to a WHOLE new level. What a tool.. Thanks to Greg Gutfeld for being spot-on as usual. That was adapted from Greg Gutfeld’s monologue on “The Five” on April 21, 2020. Excellent!! 🙂
Clapping has been banned at Britain’s University of Manchester Student Union because it triggers anxiety and discourages people from attending events. It will be replaced with a silent version of “jazz hands” – which is said to encourage an “environment of respect.” Meanwhile, a Massachusetts professor says that the label “veteran” should be expanded to include peace activists. I say the label “professor” should be expanded to include messy droolers. The one thing these things have in common, besides lunacy, is that they’ve both broken out of the asylum gates of the local university. The seed pods from that garden of stupid, are now blooming in the real world. Why is that? Because no one wants to say, “that’s really dumb.” We are all bullied to silence by the tyranny of grievance. Nobody wants to share the risk in calling out absurdity because that makes you a big meanie. Example: you’re on a subway and a maniac gets on board. He’s a babbling idiot. So everyone looks down at their phones. Why? Because no one wants to assume a piece of the risk. So they hide from the maniac. Then you realize the maniac is Bill de Blasio. Again. He’s screaming inanities. Your head aches. He won’t shut up. So now the joke’s on you. You should have complained the moment de Blasio got on. You should have said, ‘shut up and get out of here. You’re too loud and stupid for mass transit.’ Ideological excess spreads when everyone looks the other way. Whether it’s on campus, in congress, and in media. But maybe for once, let’s share the risk. It might be the only defense we have left.
