US engages in show of force in Guam, after China’s own show of strength near Taiwan
Kudos to the U.S. Air Force for showing their might like this. Each time China flexes its military muscle, we need to reciprocate without hesitation, and let them know we, or our allies, will not be bullied. To see pics of this “elephant walk,” click on the text above. 🙂

Air Force to allow uniformed members to wear turbans, hijabs, beards in new dress code update, officials say
Just crazy… This is political correctness gone insane. To the non-military population, this may seem like progress. However for those of us who have actually served in uniform, this is exactly the kind of thing that undermines the whole point of even having a uniform. If they make an exception for this reason, then it opens the door for others to say, “well, what about me and what’s important to me?” And before long, the whole notion of “uniform” ceases to exist. The whole point of having a uniform, is …well…uniformity; not individuality. And, we have a 100% volunteer military. If wearing the uniform runs contrary to your beliefs, then work in an industry or sector that is more in keeping with those beliefs. The military isn’t for everyone. Thank God this crap wasn’t happening when I was in…and I suspect it’ll only continue to get worse.

‘Racist’ Incident That Sparked Air Force Viral ‘Bigotry’ Speech Proven a Hoax
Talk about CYA.. Wow… The whole thing was a hoax, and yet the Superintendent didn’t walk it back one bit upon learning that. It’s probably the safe, politically correct, thing to do for someone who probably aspires to get his 4th star. But, it’s poor leadership. After all, if you’ve seen the video (if not, click on the text above), he reams his people assuming they were part of this “racist” act. Come to find out, it never happened! Instead of being stubborn and sticking to the liberal, pc, talking points, the general should have had a team huddle ..and addressed this latest twist, with a little humility. Maybe say he’s “grateful” to learn that nobody here was part of anything like that, and that the person who was, has left the school.
Space Warfare: America could soon have a new branch of the military protecting outer space
This is a follow up to an earlier we posted (scroll down about 14 articles). The good Secretary isn’t wrong.. However well intentioned, it DOES seem like the creation of another bureaucracy is in the works. As many of you know, here at The Daily Buzz we’ve been advocating the need for more funding of both our civilian (i.e. NASA) AND military space programs (i.e. Air Force Space Command & the U.S. Army’s Space & Missile Defense Command or “SMDC”). But, such funding should be done so wisely, and not wasted on growing the size and scope of bloated, inefficient, bureaucratic government. Anyway, to read the rest of this article, click on the text above.
