Tiffany Trump: ‘Thoughts, Opinions,’ Votes Are ‘Manipulated’ by Media, Big Tech

Tiffany Trump, President Donald Trump’s youngest daughter, said Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention (RNC) that people have to recognize they are being “manipulated” by the media and big tech. “People must recognize that our thoughts, opinions, and even the choice of who we vote for are being manipulated and invisibly coerced by the media and tech giants,” Tiffany Trump said. “If you tune into the media, you get one biased opinion or another. And if what you share does not fit into the narrative they seek to promote, then it is either ignored or deemed a “lie,” regardless of the truth. This manipulation of what information we receive impedes our freedoms,” she added. Tiffany said that this system of “misinformation” causes “fear” and “divisiveness” among people who are robbed of their right to form their own opinions and beliefs on subjects. The recent law school graduate noted that although this generation is facing an uncertain future, she urged people this election season to “transcend political boundaries” in a fight to keep America true to its values and make choices on “results and not rhetoric.” She urged Americans to “seek out the truth and learn from those with different opinions” before forming their own opinions and look beyond what other politicians say. “I implore you to see beyond the façade that so many other politicians employ. They mask themselves in disguises of decency, as they try to pressure us to mask our own identities and beliefs,” she said. “My father is the only person to challenge the establishment, the entrenched bureaucracy, big pharma, and media monopolies to ensure that Americans’ constitutional freedoms are upheld and that justice and truth prevail,” Tiffany added.

Way to go Tiffany!  To see this speech she gave at the RNC convention, click on the text above.  If you’re a senior in high school, in college, or a recent grad, you’ll relate to what Tiffany says here.  She nails it!!  Excellent!    🙂

First Night of RNC Gets Nearly Six Times More Views Than DNC’s on C-SPAN

C-SPAN’s live stream of night one of the Republican National Convention (RNC) garnered nearly 440,000 views, a major increase over the start of the Democratic National Convention that drew 76,000 views. “The numbers for Monday night come ahead of traditional TV ratings from Nielsen Media Research, which will be released on Tuesday afternoon,” according to the Hill. Roughly 18.7 million people watched the first night of the virtual DNC from Milwaukee and Wilmington, Delaware, which featured speeches by former First Lady Michelle Obama and former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH), according to Nielson. The Hill report continued: Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s speech on Thursday night was watched by 21.8 million people on TV, beating out the numbers for other major speeches at the party’s convention earlier in the week. Still, the numbers for Biden mark a 21 percent drop from presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in 2016. They are also more than 38 percent lower than President Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican convention four years ago, which drew 34.9 million viewers. Amazon Prime Video live streamed all four nights of the DNC last week but did not offer a live stream of the RNC on Monday night, according to Breitbart News. The article read: Searching for RNC coverage on Amazon also proved to be more difficult than searching for DNC footage. A search for the term “DNC” brought up Amazon’s livestreams from all four days of the Democratic National Convention last week, while an “RNC” search failed to return anything related to Monday’s convention. Amazon users had to search the term “Republican National Convention” to find any RNC-related content, the report stated. In addition, Fox News received criticism for cutting away from RNC coverage several times during the event, according to Breitbart News. “As the evening continued, social media lit up with questions and criticism regarding the outlet’s broadcasting choices.” “Hannity and friends talked over half of Steve Scalise’s speech. Muting him at the RNC while they babbled,” Media Analyst Mark Dice wrote in a subsequent tweet.

Black Lives Matter Protesters Harass D.C. Diners at Mexican Restaurant, Demand They Raise Fists

Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington, DC, on Monday harassed diners seated on the patio of a Mexican restaurant and allegedly demanded they raise their fists, according to videos posted on social media. A video showed one black female protester who entered the patio space of Mezcalero Cocina Mexicana on 14th Street NW and confronted a young white couple. A video posted by RawsMedia on Twitter captioned: “Protesters says people who don’t raise there fist is a white supremacist.” The protester can be heard screaming at the couple, “Is that why you don’t want to do it?” Two other diners are seen with their fists raised. Cowbells and shouting can also be heard, as the crowd heckled the couple. One protester yelled, “White supremacy!” at the couple. A staff member at the restaurant confirmed on Tuesday that about 200 protesters came to their restaurant on 14th Street the day before. The incident was a part of a protest in D.C. in support of Jacob Blake, a black man in Wisconsin who scuffled with police before he was seen reaching into his car and then fired upon by police. He is reportedly in stable condition. The shooting, however, has fueled already ongoing protests around the country by BLM and other associated groups. Protesters in recent weeks have been increasingly targeting restaurant-goers, who now with COVID-19 restrictions, are sitting on patios accessible from the sidewalk. Over the weekend, BLM protesters targeted Washington diners in other parts of Northwest DC, with one case leading to a physical confrontation. Metropolitan police arrived shortly after the confrontation, and followed the protesters as they moved on to other restaurants. Protesters also targeted diners in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Republican National Convention is being held this week.

What a bunch of uncivil losers and thugs..  To see the video of this, click on the text above.   These diners had every right to a peaceful dinner that they paid for.  Just imagine if this had happened to you.  They should have called their waiter or owner of the restaurant and asked them to intervene.  And, if they didn’t, they should have called the police and filed charges against these losers…and asked for a refund for the dinner from the restaurant.  Hopefully the police there have seen this video and are taking action.  God forbid this sorta things happens to you, stand up and don’t take this crap.  We all need to push back against this mob mentality and not just take it.  We shouldn’t have to be assaulted each time there is some (usually perfectly justified) police shooting some place, and BLM, Antifa, and other domestic terrorists use it as an excuse to attack everyone else.  Oh, and shame on those gutless other patrons who raised their fists just so they wouldn’t get yelled at by that obnoxious female and her mob.  I’m so over this crap..

At RNC, St. Louis Couple Rips Democrats: No One in Mob Charged — Just us

Patricia and Mark McCloskey, the St. Louis couple menaced at their home by a massive mob of trespassing Black Lives Matter protesters, issued a stark warning at Monday night’s Republican National Convention about what life under Democrat rule look like if Joe Biden becomes president. Here is a partial transcript: PATRICIA MCCLOSKEY: What you saw happen to us could just as easily happen to any of you who are watching from quiet neighborhoods around our country, and that’s what we want to speak to you about tonight. MARK MCCLOSKEY: Whether it’s defunding the police, ending cash bail so criminals can be released back out on the streets the same day to riot again, or encouraging anarchy on our streets, it seems as if Democrats no longer view the government’s job as protecting honest citizens from criminals, but rather protecting criminals from honest citizens. Not a single person in the out-of-control mob you saw at our house was charged with a crime. But you know who was? We were. They’ve actually charged us with a felony for daring to defend our home. On top of that, consider this: The liberal activist leading a mob to our neighborhood stood outside of our home with a bullhorn screaming, “You can’t stop the revolution!” Just weeks later, that same activist won the Democrat nomination to hold a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. The radicals are not content just marching in the streets. They want to walk the halls of Congress. They want power. This is Joe Biden’s party. These are the people who will be in charge. Patricia then warns about the changes Biden has promised to make that will destroy peaceful and safe suburbs: PATRICIA MCCLOSKEY: They’re not satisfied with spreading the chaos and violence in our communities. They want to abolish the suburbs all-together by ending single-family home zoning. This forced rezoning would bring crime, lawlessness and low-quality apartments into thriving suburban neighborhoods. President Trump smartly ended this government overreach, but Joe Biden wants to bring it back. The couple became somewhat famous in late June when video was released on social media of them standing in front of their house holding firearms. Patricia held a handgun. Mark held a semi-automatic rifle. While the mob of about a hundred taunted and threatened them with murder and rape, the couple warned the hostile group they were trespassing — which they were. Worse still, the mob broke down a security gate to gain access to the private road in front of the McCloskey’s Renaissance palazzo-style residence, a place of pride for the two attorneys, who spent years and untold amounts of money restoring and renovating it. Outnumbered 50-to-1, the McCloskeys had every right in the world to be out there brandishing guns. At the time, the left-wing terrorists in Antifa and Black Lives Matter were ravaging countless cities. Riots, assaults, arson, looting, and mayhem was widespread. It still is. “[W]hen I saw that mob coming through the gate with their rage and their anger, I thought that we would be overrun in a second,” Mark told the Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson just days after the incident. “By the time I was out there with my rifle, the people were 20 or 30 feet from my front wall. I’ve got a low wall that separates my house from my front yard. And so, I was literally afraid that within seconds they would surmount the wall, and come into the house, kill us, burn the house down and everything that I had worked for and struggled for for the last 32 years.” “I saw it all going up in flames, and my life destroyed in an instant,” he added. “And I did what I thought I had to do to protect my hearth, my home and my family.” McCloskey was invited to appear on CNNLOL just so he could be smeared as a racist. But that was only the beginning of the persecution faced by the McCloskeys, a very public persecution deliberately designed to intimidate all Americans. The McCloskeys were made examples of by the left in the hopes we would all be afraid to defend our homes and families from these demonic marauders, these socialist revolutionaries who are nothing less than the Democrats’ and the media’s own personal Brownshirts. Although the mob had trespassed and vandalized, had essentially broken and entered, and many of their faces were caught and broadcast on social media, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, a Democrat, did not charge a single one them with anything. Instead, with the corporate media and the organized left cheering her on, she went after the McCloskeys. Gardner received and executed a search warrant of their home, which reportedly resulted in the confiscation of the firearms necessary to protect themselves should the mob return — which it did after Democrats and CNN painted a target on their backs. And then Gardner charged the couple with “felony unlawful use of a weapon.” “It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening manner — that is unlawful in the city of St. Louis,” Gardner said in a statement. Apparently it is not illegal in St. Louis — or in any Democrat-run city — to break down doors and threaten people on their own property. The state attorney general, a Republican, stepped in and had the obscene, unlawful, politically-motivated charges dismissed. Click here to watch the McCloskeys speech:

Donald Trump Announces Approval for Convalescent Plasma to Treat Coronavirus

President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had approved the use of convalescent plasma to treat coronavirus for emergency use. The president spoke about the approved treatment during a White House press conference on Sunday evening. “This is a powerful therapy that transfuses very, very strong antibodies from the blood of recovered patients to help treat patients battling a current infection,” Trump wrote. “It’s had an incredible rate of success.” The treatment takes convalescent plasma from blood donated from patients that have recovered from coronavirus. Under current FDA guidelines, convalescent plasma is regulated as an “investigative product.” “We broke the logjam over the last week,” Trump said when asked about the difficulty getting the treatment approved for emergency use by the FDA. The president thanked FDA administrator, Dr. Steven Hahn, for helping lead the project. “It is only made possible because of Operation Warp Speed. That is, everybody working together,” Trump said referring to his administration’s effort to speed treatments and vaccines for coronavirus. Trump said that approvals were years ahead of schedule and previewed exciting news about vaccines in the upcoming days. “We are removing unnecessary barriers and delays, not by cutting corners, but by marshaling the full power of the federal government,” he said. Hahn said that the expanded access program for convalescent plasma was started at the Mayo Clinic in April and over 70,000 people had received treatment. “This is one of the largest expanded access programs in the history of FDA, so a very successful approach to evaluating how convalescent plasma would work,” he said. Hahn said that the scientists at the FDA evaluated both the data from the program and over a dozen published studies before approving the treatment. In a June 3 article, the JAMA network outlined the history of the use of convalescent plasma dating as far back as the Spanish Flu epidemic and identified the treatment as a potential route to coronavirus containment. A later study published by the JAMA Network, however, concluded that the use of convalescent plasma as a treatment is less effective in severe coronavirus cases. “In the optimal patients, as described by Secretary Azar, treated with convalescent plasma at the highest tiers there was a 35 percent improvement in survival,” Hahn said. Hahn said that the FDA would continue evaluating the data and study the emergency use of the treatment. “We’re waiting for more data, and we’re going to continue gathering more data, but this clearly meets the criteria we’ve established for the emergency use authorization and we’re very pleased with these results,” he said. Hahn said that everyone recovering from the Covid-19 should act to donate their blood. “If you’ve recovered from Covid-19, please donate, you could save a life,” he said.

Report: Nearly 5 Million First-Time Gun Buyers in 2020

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported that there have been nearly five million first time gun buyers thus far in 2020. On August 24, 2020, NSSF contrasted the number of National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) checks from January 1, 2020, through July, 2020, with the number of checks from January 1, 2019, through July 2019. After adjusting for checks that were tied to concealed carry permits or other ends, other than sales, they ascertained that the number of checks for sales was 12.1 million. NSSF then surveyed retailers and found that “40 percent of sales were conducted to purchasers who have never previously owned a firearm.” Forty percent of 12.1 million is 4,840,000, or nearly five million sales. NSSF senior vice president of general counsel Larry Keane commented on the new gun buyers, saying: This is a tectonic shift in the firearm and ammunition industry marketplace and complete transformation of today’s gun-owning community. These first-time buyers represent a group of people who, until now, were agnostic regarding firearm ownership. “That’s rapidly changing, and these Americans are taking hold of their God-given right to keep and bear arms and protect themselves and their loved ones,” Keane said.

This is great news!  Good for these folks exercising their 2nd Amendment rights to protect themselves and their families from all the craziness going on out there.  For more, click on the text above.

CDC drops 14-day self-quarantine recommendation for out-of-state, international travelers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday dropped its recommendation for travelers to quarantine for 14 days upon returning from trips overseas or out of state during the coronavirus pandemic. The CDC updated its guidelines on its website. Though the two-week recommendation was changed, the federal agency did caution travelers that they can still contract the novel coronavirus while traveling. “You may feel well and not have any symptoms, but you can still spread COVID-19 to others,” the agency warns. “You and your travel companions (including children) may spread COVID-19 to other people including your family, friends, and community for 14 days after you were exposed to the virus.” The CDC recommends travelers wear masks indoors, wash hands, maintain social distancing guidelines, and monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19. The CDC states traveling increases your risk of contracting and spreading the virus, noting that staying at home is the best protection from COVID-19 for yourself and others. If you must travel, the federal health agency recommends travelers to check the recommendations on government websites for their destination as well as any places they will be passing through during their trip. Requirements may vary by location, with some requiring those who recently traveled to stay home for two weeks while others may allow a negative COVID-19 test instead of the self-quarantine. If you have plans to travel internationally, the CDC advises researching the country’s Office of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Health to learn about any quarantine requirements.

RNC Officially Repudiates Discredited Southern Poverty Law Center

The Republican National Committee (RNC) approved a resolution repudiating the disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the purported “anti-hate” organization that has become a vehicle for smearing conservatives and critics of radical leftism. The resolution commits the RNC to officially “Refuting the legitimacy of the Southern Poverty Law Center to identify hate groups.” The SPLC bills itself as an expert on “hate groups,” maintaining a “hate map” that tracks them around the country. However, the SPLC has repeatedly added mainstream conservative organizations to its list, smearing their reputation and allowing violent far-left criminals to locate and target them. The RNC resolution notes that the SPLC’s smears “puts conservative groups or voices at risk of attack.” Conservatives and critics of progressivism that have been smeared by the SPLC include the Family Research Council (which is currently part of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom), the Alliance Defending Freedom, White House speechwriter Stephen Miller, One America News reporter Jack Posobiec, moderate Muslim Maajid Nawaz, and Islam critic Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Nawaz successfully sued the SPLC for falsely labeling him an “anti-Muslim extremist” in 2018, winning a $3.3 million settlement from the organization. In 2012, far-left radical Floyd Corkins used the SPLC’s “hate map” to locate the offices of the Family Research Council. He proceeded to the FRC’s offices with a loaded pistol, and opened fire on the office’s security staff before being stopped by an armed guard. He later told authorities that he planned to kill “as many people as he could” at the FRC, and explained that his crime was politically motivated — he had seen the FRC on the SPLC’s list of “anti-gay” organizations. Court records submitted by the FBI confirmed that Corkins, a former far-left activist, had indeed checked the SPLC website prior to his attack: ” Corkins left and returned the next day, Friday, August 10th, to pick up the pistol. The selection and surveillance of the FRC and other targets. Consistent with his statement to the FBI, a subsequent search of Corkins’s family computer revealed that on the afternoon of Sunday, August 12th, Corkins used the computer to visit the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Website, as well as the Websites for the FRC and the second organization on his handwritten list.” Despite the fact that the SPLC has lost defamation lawsuits and has served as an inspiration for acts of domestic terror, major corporations continue to rely on it to identify “hate groups” and “hate speech.” In 2018, the Daily Caller revealed that Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Twitter all work with the discredited far-left organization. The full text of the RNC’s resolution can be found by clicking here:

FINALLY!!!  Here at The Daily Buzz we’ve been calling out Morris Dees (the founder of the SPLC) and the rest of that nauseating bunch for years, and we’re thrilled to see the RNC finally agreeing and calling the SPLC out for who they are.  The SPLC has been a darling among Democrat politicians and the dominantly liberal mainstream media.  They are regularly referred to by the liberal media (i.e. CNN, MSNBC, PBS/NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.) as an authority on so-called “hate groups.”   The SPLC goes after groups like the FRC in Colorado Springs where that shooting took place because they’re a Christian pro-life group.  To the SPLC that should grounds to call them a “hate group.”  And yet, they don’t list the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) as a hate group, because they’re a self-admitted socialist/communist group, and black racist.  To the SPLC, that’s ok…and they get a pass.  The SPLC are such hypocrites!!  Check out the official NBPP web site here, https://www.cbpm.org/nbpp.html    and you be the judge of whether or not they should be called a “hate group.”  We sure do!  SPLC is nothing more than a far-left/liberal, anti-Christian, anti-conservative, politically correct, political advocacy organization.  We’re glad to see the RNC finally step up and go on the record and call them out.  Excellent!!!      🙂

Greg Gutfeld: Share the risk – How to end cancel culture, for good

After spending a segment on “The Five” debunking the “fine people” hoax perpetrated by Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in his acceptance speech at the convention last week, some nobody on Twitter (Tim Miller, who works for Bulwark, which I believe is a knitting circle for failed consultants), claimed that I had a “racist mentor.” So in one tweet, he was able to falsely incriminate me as part of a racist cabal, while smearing any number of people I’ve worked with (I’ve had a few great mentors in my life, luckily – none of them racist). Now, at this point, you (or I) can go two ways. We can ignore a troll, and assume such accusations will fade. Which can happen. But in this era, you can’t rely on that anymore. When someone calls you racist, you need to fight back. So, I did. I demanded he retract the slander. (You can find my tweets here.) When I confronted the smear merchant, he desperately and lamely tried to defend himself, without assuming culpability. I wouldn’t have it. I kept the pressure on and I enlisted others to help me. I asked that my friends and fans “share the risk.” Because that’s the only way to defeat cancel culture. As the cowardly writer started to experience the overwhelming wrath of decent-minded people calling him out, he deleted the inflammatory attack – but not without claiming he did so, only because it became a hassle. Which is the point. To get cowards like him to stop wielding loaded terms and inflammatory smears that incite violence, you must make it a hassle. That is the point. It’s applying the logic of MAD, or mutually assured destruction, to the clowns behind cancel culture. The only reason the troll came after me in the first place, is because there was no hassle involved – in fact, there’s a low barrier to entry in the cancellation Olympics. He thought he could call me racist, and get away with it – and if I ignored it, he would have been right. Instead, I came with guns blazing – thereby raising the stakes for his smears – so that he realized that, yes, it should truly become a hassle once you falsely accuse someone of racism! Duh! MAD worked! There has never been a more important time to share the risk than right now. When a friend or even a foe, comes under fire – it’s up to all of us to step up and defend each other. In short, we all must share the risk, so the Bulwark ghouls and others like them learn quickly that they’re about to make a huge investment when they wrongly smear people. Making them pay (literally or metaphorically) is the only way to teach them a lesson. THAT is the solution to cancel culture. Fact is, those who accuse you of non-criminal acts in public, do so to ruin you in the public square. And they do this to scare you into compliance – painting targets on your back, and the backs of your family. Without a challenge, they will continue to harass, smear and cancel you – as they not-so-subtly encourage violence to head in your direction. If we do not join together and turn our collective power toward the smear gremlins (again, sharing that risk), the gremlins win. When someone you know, or even don’t know, is falsely smeared, you must defend them. Raising the possibility of swift and brutal punishment in the public square will likely cause all canceling cowards (who initiate this fight) to scamper away (like the Bulwark one did with me). It’s a way to silence the silencer – to instill fear in those who wish to instill fear in you. If you don’t understand this yet, trust me, one day soon, you will.e

Indeed..  Well said, Greg.  As usual, Greg Gutfeld nails it with his dry wit and sarcasm.  The so-called “cancel culture” is a plague and a cancer in our society.  Glad to see him fight back and not take it.  Thanks Greg!!    🙂

Opinion/Analysis: Republicans’ problems can be sourced to this Eisenhower legacy they must reject

In a new book about her grandfather, Dwight D, Eisenhower, titled “How Ike Led: The Principles Behind Eisenhower’s Biggest Decisions,” Susan Eisenhower writes admiringly about Ike’s pursuit of what she calls “the middle way.” In a decision that still infects elements of the Republican Party today, Susan Eisenhower says Ike’s pursuit of compromise and centrism led to his decision to nominate Democrats as well as Republicans to the Supreme Court. She quotes Ike’s attorney general, Herbert Brownell: “The President believed and acted upon the belief that the Supreme Court’s membership should represent divergent ideological points of view.” She says he believed this approach would “foster public confidence in the court…” Ike could not have foreseen future battles over all federal courts and how his successors would mostly nominate judges who fit their ideological views of the Constitution, Roe vs. Wade being the most egregious of many such examples. Our 34th president gave the Supreme Court two of its most liberal members, Justices William Brennan and Earl Warren. Ike would later come to lament those appointments, saying, “I made two mistakes and both of them are sitting on the Supreme Court.” Ike had success with the middle way as supreme allied commander during World War II when his advisers and heads of Allied nations agreed on a common goal, the defeat of Nazi Germany and Japan. Unfortunately, his noble sentiment works less well in politics because Democrats do not reciprocate. The purpose of politics is to win and to demonstrate one party’s ideas and policies are superior to those of the other party. If politics is only about being liked and praised, especially by one’s ideological adversaries, the party that adopts such a philosophy is doomed to perpetual defeat and to not have its positions — if it has them — taken seriously. Democrats have been known since the Great Depression as the party of government, luring more and more voters by dispensing free stuff and promising to take care of them. Government has replaced individual responsibility and accountability. We now subsidize bad individual decisions and failure and penalize those who have succeeded by playing by what used to be called “the rules.” For many, government has become an addiction with Democrats serving as “dealers.” Republicans have had only marginal success in countering this because they don’t seem to be able to come up with a set of unified policies and goals. Instead, the GOP has become like a protein shake dieters drink because it contains fewer calories. In too many cases, Republican positions resemble “Democrat-lite.” The growing debt is only one example. Republicans seek only to manage it, not reduce it. Susan Eisenhower quotes from a letter Ike wrote to a California friend in 1954: “I developed a practice which, so far as I know, I have never violated. The practice is to avoid public mention of any name unless it can be done with favorable intent and connotation; reserve all criticism for the private conference; speak only good in public.” In this, Ike demonstrated his good character, but that didn’t stop Democrats from criticizing him about everything from the rounds of golf he played to allegations by Harry Truman and others that he was in the pocket of “reactionaries,” which translated into today’s parlance means “extreme right-wingers.” There’s a cliche about sports: “It’s not whether you win or lose; it’s how you play the game.” In politics it’s about winning, and if you don’t win how you played the game won’t matter. Texas politician Jim Hightower wrote a book titled “There’s Nothing in the Middle of the Road but Yellow Stripes and Dead Armadillos.” Modern Republicans might learn from that Texas liberal.

Indeed..  And well said, Cal.  Veteran columnist Cal Thomas is responsible for that outstanding, and timely, piece.  He’s exactly right!  Politics really is a contact sport.  And, Democrats historically are much better at it than Republicans because they will do whatever it takes to win; even cheat, lie, and worse.  Republicans tend to “take the higher road,” and then lose…like John McCain, Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush (second term), and on and on.  Politics is about ideas, and battling it out in those arena of ideas.  And, the GOP for too long has always tried to take that “higher road” so as not to offend, or worse, to be called “racist, sexist,” and so on.  I had a boss at Ft. Carson, CO once who said, “it isn’t about winning or losing.  It’s about winning.”   Exactly..  While we should never lie, cheat or do anything illegal or amoral, we shouldn’t just lay down on the railroad tracks and get run over like a bunch of suckers.  Trump is the first GOP President I can remember who gets that, and actually fights back.  He’s the honey badger that doesn’t care…and it’s refreshing to see.  Thanks Cal!      🙂
