Walker Stapleton: Why THIS governor’s race matters to all of us – It’s time to defeat socialism and radical extremism

Americans are a freedom-loving people who want the government out of their lives. More government regulation is never the answer to our country’s most challenging problems. And in Colorado, where I’m running for governor as a Republican, it’s no different. Colorado is a state with a deep libertarian streak. In past elections, Coloradans have overwhelmingly voted down single-payer health care, defeated a massive tax increase proposed by the teachers union, and legalized marijuana at the ballot box. Colorado is a state with a deep libertarian streak. In past elections, Coloradans have overwhelmingly voted down single-payer health care, defeated a massive tax increase proposed by the teachers union, and legalized marijuana at the ballot box. That is the independent Colorado I know and love – a fiscally responsible state that isn’t afraid to chart a path for the nation on contentious issues. But this year that all can change. Democratic candidates across the country are adopting far-left, radical policies that the majority of Americans do not support. The Democratic Party has moved to the far left to appease its extremist supporters. An avowed socialist, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, is now the face of the Democratic Party. Whether it’s mandating government-run health care, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or banning fracking (a technology that has helped the United States become number one in the world in energy production), Democrats are now advocating policies that are far outside of the mainstream and endanger our economy and our jobs. In Colorado, the race for governor is a microcosm of what is happening on the national stage. In June, Democrats nominated Congressman Jared Polis, the most radical and extreme gubernatorial candidate in Colorado’s history. His record in Colorado over the past few years only underlines this fact. In 2014, Congressman Polis earned national recognition when he used his vast personal wealth to bankroll a ballot measure that would have banned fracking and driven 230,000 energy jobs out of Colorado. Congressman Polis is now running on a platform of single-payer, government-run health care; transitioning Colorado to 100 percent renewable energy; promising “free” pre-school; and promoting a carbon tax. This list of promises and other unfunded mandates adds up to at least $90 billion in spending and costs, and would triple the size of Colorado’s budget with no means to pay for it except through higher taxes – nearly triple what Coloradans presently pay. As we near the final days of this campaign, Congressman Polis is unapologetically doubling down on his radical persona. The face of American socialism, Bernie Sanders, is joining Congressman Polis on the campaign trail in Colorado. Recently, when asked to name a single policy difference he has with Sen. Sanders, Congressman Polis came up short, failing to name a single point of disagreement with America’s most famous socialist. This is a race for governor of Colorado, but the impacts will be felt all across our country. Make no mistake — a Polis victory in a swing state like Colorado will further normalize socialist policies. Will Congressman Polis and Bernie Sanders’ brand of extreme government regulation and intervention cement itself as the standard? Voters in Colorado and across the country are being presented with a new brand of unabashed extremism that risks economic catastrophe and flies in the face of our country’s founding principle of individual freedom. While we are working tirelessly to defeat socialism in Colorado, it ultimately will be up to voters. It is my hope and prayer that voters across the country choose to let freedom ring and that Coloradans’ voices are heard from coast to coast.

Walker Stapleton is an American politician who is serving his second term as Colorado’s state treasurer. He was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Stapleton is the Republican nominee for the 2018 Colorado gubernatorial election, and is a distant relative of former President George W. Bush.  We wish him success next week.  Jared Polis would be a disaster for Colorado.  He’s just a younger, and openly gay, version of Bernie.

Barbra Streisand ‘thinking’ about moving to Canada if GOP wins the House

Barbra Streisand is once again thinking about leaving the United States for political reasons. In a Tuesday interview with The New York Times, the 76-year-old star admitted that she’s considering moving to Canada if the Democrats don’t win a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections next week. “I want to sleep nights, if we take the House I’ll be able to sleep a little bit better,” Streisand told the outlet, adding that if they don’t take control she’s been “thinking about” a potential move. “I’ve been thinking about, do I want to move to Canada? I don’t know. I’m just so saddened by this thing happening to our country.” “It’s making me fat,” she continued. “I hear what he said now, and I have to go eat pancakes now, and pancakes are very fattening. We make them with healthy flour, though — almond flour, coconut flour.” Before the 2016 election, the singer-actress also spoke about emigrating because of Trump. “He has no facts. I don’t know, I can’t believe it. I’m either coming to your country [Australia], if you’ll let me in, or Canada,” she said according to The Hollywood Reporter. Last month, Streisand released her first album since 2005, “Walls,” which contains a track that directly speaks to President Trump and voices her distaste for what his administration is doing to America and the world at large. “I just went ballistic,” she told The Associated Press at the time. The track titled “Don’t Lie to Me” contains lyrics aimed at Trump such as: “How do you sleep when the world keeps turning?/All that we built has come undone/How do you sleep when the world is burning?/Everyone answers to someone.” “I just can’t stand what’s going on,” the Oscar, Grammy and Emmy winner continued. “His assault on our democracy, our institutions, our founders — I think we’re in a fight. … We’re in a war for the soul of America.”

Agreed, Babs.  That’s why we hope conservatives fair well next week, and the so-called “blue wave” doesn’t happen.  For crying out loud, just take your over $400 MILLION net worth (yeah, you read that correctly) you made in this evil, capitalistic country, and go to a more socialist country like Canada where you’ll get taxed more…and we won’t have to hear you whine about how awful life is here in America…you self-righteous, arrogant, entitlement-minded, liberal elitist.  What an obnoxious tool..

Coulter: The True History of Millstone Babies

Having mastered fake news, now the media are trying out a little fake history. In the news business, new topics are always popping up, from the Logan Act and the emoluments clause to North Korea. The all-star panels rush to Wikipedia, so they can pretend to be experts on things they knew nothing about an hour earlier. Such is the case today with “anchor babies” and “birthright citizenship.” People who know zilch about the history of the 14th Amendment are pontificating magnificently and completely falsely on the issue du jour. If you’d like to be the smartest person at your next cocktail party by knowing the truth about the 14th Amendment, this is the column for you! Of course the president can end the citizenship of “anchor babies” by executive order — for the simple reason that no Supreme Court or U.S. Congress has ever conferred such a right. It’s just something everyone believes to be true. How could anyone — even a not-very-bright person — imagine that granting citizenship to the children of illegal aliens is actually in our Constitution? The first question would be: Why would they do that? It’s like being accused of robbing a homeless person. WHY WOULD I? The Supreme Court has stated — repeatedly! — that the “main object” of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment “was to settle the question … as to the citizenship of free negroes,” making them “citizens of the United States and of the state in which they reside.” Democrats, the entire media and House Speaker Paul Ryan seem to have forgotten the Civil War. They believe that, immediately after a war that ended slavery, Americans rose up as one and demanded that the children of illegals be granted citizenship! You know what’s really bothering me? If someone comes into the country illegally and has a kid, that kid should be an American citizen! YOU MEAN THAT’S NOT ALREADY IN THE CONSTITUTION? Give me a scenario — just one scenario — where the post-Civil War amendments would be intended to grant citizenship to the kids of Chinese ladies flying to birthing hospitals in California, or pregnant Latin Americans sneaking across the border in the back of flatbed trucks. You can make it up. It doesn’t have to be a true scenario. Any scenario! As the court has explained again and again and again: “(N)o one can fail to be impressed with the one pervading purpose found in (the 13th, 14th and 15th) amendments, lying at the foundation of each, and without which none of them would have been even suggested; we mean the freedom of the slave race, the security and firm establishment of that freedom, and the protection of the newly made freeman and citizen from the oppressions of those who had formerly exercised unlimited dominion over him.” That’s why the amendment refers to people who are “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States “and of the state wherein they reside.” For generations, African-Americans were domiciled in this country. The only reason they weren’t citizens was because of slavery, which the country had just fought a civil war to end. The 14th Amendment fixed that. The amendment didn’t even make Indians citizens. Why? Because it was about freed slaves. Sixteen years after the 14th Amendment was ratified, the Supreme Court held that an American Indian, John Elk, was not a citizen, despite having been born here. Instead, Congress had to pass a separate law making Indians citizens, which it did, more than half a century after the adoption of the 14th Amendment. (It’s easy to miss — the law is titled: “THE INDIAN CITIZENSHIP ACT OF 1924.”) Why would such a law be necessary if simply being born in the U.S. was enough to confer citizenship? Even today, the children of diplomats and foreign ministers are not granted citizenship on the basis of being born here. President Trump, unlike his critics, honors black history by recognizing that the whole purpose of the Civil War amendments was to guarantee the rights of freed slaves. But the left has always been bored with black people. If they start gassing on about “civil rights,” you can be sure it will be about transgenders, the abortion ladies or illegal aliens. Liberals can never seem to remember the people whose ancestors were brought here as slaves, i.e., the only reason we even have civil rights laws. Still, it requires breathtaking audacity to use the Civil War amendments to bring in cheap foreign labor, which drives down the wages of African-Americans — the very people the amendments were written to protect! Whether the children born to legal immigrants are citizens is controversial enough. But at least there’s a Supreme Court decision claiming that they are — U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark. That’s “birthright citizenship.” It’s something else entirely to claim that an illegal alien, subject to deportation, can drop a baby and suddenly claim to be the parent of a “citizen.” This crackpot notion was concocted by liberal zealot Justice William Brennan and slipped into a footnote as dicta in a 1982 case. “Dicta” means it was not the ruling of the court, just a random aside, with zero legal significance. Left-wing activists seized on Brennan’s aside and browbeat everyone into believing that anchor babies are part of our great constitutional heritage, emerging straight from the pen of James Madison. No Supreme Court has ever held that children born to illegal aliens are citizens. No Congress has deliberated and decided to grant that right. It’s a made-up right, grounded only in the smoke and mirrors around Justice Brennan’s 1982 footnote. Obviously, it would be better if Congress passed a law clearly stating that children born to illegals are not citizens. (Trump won’t be president forever!) But until that happens, the president of the United States is not required to continue a ridiculous practice that has absolutely no basis in law. It’s often said that journalism is the first draft of history. As we now we see, fake news is the first draft of fake history.

Agreed!!  And well said, Ann.  Conservative firebrand, and former attorney, Ann Coulter is responsible for that outstanding legal op/ed.  Please consider this your “Read of the Day.”  If you read only one article here at The Daily Buzz, then please READ THIS in its entirety, and forward on to all of your friends and family members…especially those who tend to vote Democrat.  Ann is exactly right.  The whole “anchor baby” narrative is a total sham.  And, presidents of BOTH parties have stood silent and allowed it to continue.  In 1980 30,000 anchor babies were born here to illegal alien parents.  That number was over 250,000 last year!  Think about that!  It’s utter insanity…and WAY past time we put an end to it.  Kudos to President Trump for at least trying to have an honest discussion about it, despite being shouted down by everyone, including legislators in his own party.  Unreal..

Congress to take up 10 percent tax cut for the middle class next year: Trump, Brady

President Trump and Rep. Kevin Brady said Wednesday that they intend to pursue an additional 10 percent tax cut for the middle class once the new Congress convenes in January. Mr. Trump had said earlier this month that he’d like to push for the additional tax cut in the coming weeks, and that he wanted Congress to vote on it after the midterm elections. But on Wednesday, the two leaders signaled the additional 10 percent cut won’t be in the cards for the post-election “lame duck” session of Congress. “We are committed to delivering an additional 10 percent tax cut to middle-class workers across the country. And we intend to take swift action on this legislation at the start of the 116th Congress,” said Mr. Trump and Mr. Brady, the House’s top tax-writer. The president and Mr. Brady also credited last year’s $1.5 trillion tax-cut package for juicing the U.S. economy, and pointed out that no Democrats voted for the legislation. “Together, the Trump administration and congressional Republicans are creating more economic opportunity for workers of all walks of life — especially for those hit hardest by the recession, who the previous administration left behind,” they said. The House also passed legislation recently that would make permanent the individual tax rate cuts in the law. The new law permanently lowered the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, but the individual rate cuts were written to expire after 2025 to comply with budget rules. Congressional Democrats have criticized the law as a giveaway to the rich, and have said they could seek to roll back parts of it if they retake control of at least one chamber of Congress.

…which is the #1 reason you need to get out and vote Republican next week (or NOW, if you have a mail-in ballot).  All the Dems want to do is raise your taxes, and waste the rest of their time investigating Trump and every single one of his nominees.  They have no intention of doing the work of the people; just try to be a thorn in Trump’s side.  Remember that.

CNN’s Don Lemon: ‘Biggest terror threat in this country is white men’

CNN anchor Don Lemon declared Tuesday night that the biggest terror threat the country faces today is “white men” and that something needs to be done about them. Mr. Lemon made the comments while speaking to fellow anchor Chris Cuomo about last week’s killing of two black men at a Kentucky supermarket in an apparent hate crime. It came just days before Saturday’s mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue and amid a rash of pipe bombs mailed to more that a dozen high-profile Democrats. All of the alleged perpetrators appear to be white men. Mr. Lemon said he doesn’t like to demonize people but can’t help but consider white men to be the biggest threat to Americans’ safety. “I keep trying to point out to people and not to demonize any one group or any one ethnicity. But we keep thinking that the biggest terror threat is something else, some people who are marching towards the border,” he said, dismissing the migrant caravan heading for the southern U.S. border as not a real threat to security. “We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right,” he said. “And we have to start doing something about them. There is no travel ban on them. There is no ban on — they had the Muslim ban. There is no white guy ban. So, what do we do about that?” Mr. Lemon then apologized to Mr. Cuomo for getting political when the victims in the Kroger supermarket shooting — 69-year-old Maurice Stallard and 67-year-old Vickie Lee Jones — are “being lost” in the dialogue. “You’re making the right point,” Mr. Cuomo responded. “You’re covering the right story, and I appreciate you for that.”

Wow..  Just imagine if Megyn Kelly or ANY white personality on tv, or radio, or God-forbid, Trump had said that “the biggest terror threat the country faces today is black men”..  Can you even imagine what would happen?!?!  There would probably be riots!  Democrat (and probably some ankle-grabbing Republican) politicians, pretty much ALL of HollyWEIRD, and the entire liberal media establishment would be calling for that person to be fired, and then investigated for hate crimes, lol.  They would be ruined for life.  Heck, you can’t even say the word “nigger” on tv or radio anymore…unless your black, and a rap artist, of course.  No.  It’s “the N word.”  But.. Don Lemon is a gay, black, extremely liberal blowhard that is able to get away with what he’s saying because he’s a liberal black guy.  And the fact that he’s gay probably gives him a little extra protection among the liberal elite.  Again, just another example of the breathtaking hypocrisy of the dominantly liberal mainstream media and Democrat politicians.  Don Lemon should be fired from CNN immediately, and apologize for his brazenly racist comments.  Racism works BOTH ways, CNN.  Let’s see if you have the courage to put your own bias aside and do the right thing.  What a disgusting, racist tool..

Hillary Clinton jokes ‘they all look alike’ after interviewer mixes up Cory Booker and Eric Holder

Hillary Clinton joked about how black men like Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and former Attorney General Eric Holder “all look alike.” During an interview on Friday, Clinton made the quip while correcting Recode’s Kara Swisherabout who recently goaded on Democratic voters by rhetorically encouraging them to “kick” Republicans when they “go low.” After Clinton noted how she adores Booker, Swisher asked the former secretary of state what she thought about this “kick them” remark. “Well, that was Eric Holder,” Clinton noted. “Eric Holder, oh, Eric Holder, sorry,” Swisher said. “Yeah, I know they all look alike,” Clinton quipped to a wave of laughter and applause in the room.

Wow..  Just fathom if President Trump or ANY Republican had made such a crack..  Mika and Joe over at MSNBC, or Jake at CNN would lose their minds.  But, hey..  It’s Hillary.  So, she gets a pass by the spectacularly hypocritical dominantly liberal mainstream media.  Typical..  As many of you know, we like to point out the brazen hypocrisy of the liberal media.  And, like the article above about Don Lemon, we’ll continue to expose their hypocrisy for you.  For more, click on the text above.

North Korea amps up currency scams to raise funds, avoid sanctions, report says

North Korea is turning to cryptocurrency scams to raise money and circumvent sanctions, a new report says. The biggest change in North Korea’s recent cyber activities has been the exploitation of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, Recorded Future, a threat intelligence firm, said in a report published on Thursday. Cryptocurrencies are decentralized, encrypted digital currencies, such as Bitcoin and they don’t rely on financial intermediaries like banks and governments. In June, Recorded Future researchers began to notice a large amount of data transfer associated with altcoin currencies – a cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin – and discovered a blockchain scam, called Marine Chain Platform, tied to North Korea, according to the report. One prominent Marine Chain Platform employee tracked down by researchers was the CEO, a man named Capt. Jonathan Foong Kah Keong. Foong has been connected to Singaporean companies that have assisted North Korean sanctions circumvention efforts since at least 2013, the report said. “Cryptocurrencies are highly fluid, volatile, and in many cases, anonymous tools that are used by North Koreans to circumvent international identification and financial controls,” Priscilla Moriuchi, director of strategic threat development at Recorded Future and author of the report, said…

Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris accused of breaking fundraising rules over Kavanaugh vote

A watchdog group filed a Senate ethics complaint Monday against Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren for sending out fundraising emails asking for donations to support their votes against Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh — even before they cast their votes against him. While voting and then asking supporters to back that decision with cash is common, the watchdog group, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), says asking for money ahead of time crosses the line into vote-buying. FACT asked the Senate ethics committee to probe fundraising emails sent by Ms. Warren, Massachusetts Democrat, and Ms. Harris, California Democrat. Ms. Warren’s email said she was demanding a delay on the judge’s confirmation vote and asked for donations for her 2018 election campaign, while Ms. Harris’s emails detailed several of her actions as a member of the Judiciary Committee, including her questioning of the president’s pick for the high court, and asking for contributions. The Senate’s rules prohibit senators “cashing in” on using their official positions for personal gain. FACT said that linking a promise of official action with campaign contributions violates that principle. “This is a clear violation of the Senate Ethics rules which safeguard against the appearance or actuality of elected officials ‘cashing in’ on their official position for political purposes,” said Kendra Arnold, executive director of FACT. Spokespersons for Ms. Harris and Ms. Warren didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Of course not..   They’re huddled with their attorneys.  Senate Dems and the dominantly liberal mainstream media made it clear even before (now) Justice Brett Kavanaugh was even officially nominated,  that they’d do anything and everything possible (even illegal), to fight his nomination.  So, this shouldn’t surprise anyone.  Kudos to FACT for looking into this potential ethics violation on the part of Sens. Warren and Harris.  This story is developing…

U.S. military to deploy 5,000 troops to southern border: Report

The U.S. will send 5,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexico to counter a massive migrant caravan, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. The new estimate is a dramatic increase from Thursday, when the military planned to only deploy 800 troops. According to The Journal, troops will be stationed at ports of entry divided among Texas, Arizona and California and will later help with administrative tasks on the U.S.-side of the border. President Trump aimed another warning at the caravan, stressing that “our military is waiting for you!”

#WalkAway movement urges disgruntled Democrats to leave the party behind

A newly created political movement urging liberals to leave the Democratic Party held a march in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. The five-month-old #WalkAway movement advocates that those who feel disillusioned with the party — which some say uses scare tactics and identity politics — to come out publicly against it. Several hundred supporters attended Saturday’s mile-long march along Pennsylvania Avenue — from John Marshall Park near the Capitol to Freedom Plaza near the White House. “We’re walking away from the Democratic Party and literally walking toward freedom,” #WalkAway founder Brandon Straka told Fox News. Straka spearheaded the movement after posting an online video in May explaining why he was abandoning the Democratic Party. “People are fed up with what’s happening on the left,” he said, adding that interest skyrocketed after the hearings into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanauagh. “These were really the kind of die-hard loyalists. People in their 60s and 70s who had been Democrats their whole life who said ‘This was the final straw for me.’” Scores of video testimonials posted to the #WalkAway Campaign Facebook page give a variety of reasons for switching political allegiances. Some said the Democratic Party has become hate-filled and hostile to opposing points of view while moving further to the left. Others say they were tired of the party’s “politically correct” culture. The movement caught President Trump’s attention. He tweeted about the event before it began: “Walkaway from the Democrat Party movement marches today in D.C. Congratulations to Brandon Straka for starting something very special.” Straka said he’s most proud that minority groups, such as Latinos, African-Americans and the LGBTQ community, have embraced his movement. “These minority groups that I think the Democratic Party has had sort of a stranglehold for so long on, they are walking away,” he said. “They want to be self-empowered.”

Indeed..  Boy is this driving the dominantly liberal mainstream media (i.e. NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc.), which is just a propaganda machine for the Democratic party, absolutely crazy!  CNN is suggesting that this movement doesn’t even exist, and that it’s ploy by the RNC and Russia to divide the Dem party.  THAT is how crazy CNN and MSNBC are.  They cannot accept the fact that there are some disillusioned life-long Dems, who have had enough of their party, and are “walking away” from it.  Imagine that..  For more, click on the text above.
