CNN Runs Fake News Story About Russia Closing Anglo-American School in Moscow

CNN, one of the media outfits that regularly complains about “fake news,” ran a fake news story of its own when it claimed that Russia was closing an Anglo-American school in Moscow as retaliation for President Obama’s sanctions. “Russian authorities ordered the closure of the Anglo-American School of Moscow, a US official briefed on the matter said. The order from the Russian government closes the school, which serves children of US, British and Canadian embassy personnel, to US and foreign nationals,” reported CNN. However, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova responded swiftly by denying that the school had been closed. “US officials ‘anonymously informed’ their media that Russia closed the Anglo-American School in Moscow as a retaliatory measure,” Zakharova wrote on her official Facebook page. “That’s a lie. Apparently, the White House has completely lost its senses and began inventing sanctions against its own children.” Zakharova accused CNN of spreading “false information citing official American sources”. The misreported story is an embarrassment for the network, which has run a series of articles over the past month complaining about so-called fake news. Russia’s actual response to the sanctions was to propose that Vladimir Putin declare “31 employees of the US Embassy in Moscow and four diplomats from the US Consulate service in St. Petersburg as persons ‘non-grata.’” However, Putin later rejected this measure. Meanwhile, in a related story, a senior U.S. official told Reuters that President-elect Donald Trump could reverse Obama’s executive order once he takes office and allow the 35 expelled Russian officials to return to America.

Are there people who actually watch CNN still?  Unreal..

Obama unleashes 3,853 regs, 18 for every law, record 97,110 pages of red tape

President Obama’s lame duck administration poured on thousands more new regulations in 2016 at a rate of 18 for every new law passed, according to a Friday analysis of his team’s expansion of federal authority. While Congress passed just 211 laws, Obama’s team issued an accompanying 3,852 new federal regulations, some costing billions of dollars. The 2016 total was the highest annual number of regulations under Obama. Former President Bush issued more in the wake of 9/11. The proof that it was an overwhelming year for rules and regulations is in the Federal Register, which ended the year Friday by printing a record-setting 97,110 pages, according to the analysis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute. The annual “Unconstitutional Index” from Clyde Wayne Crews, CEI’s vice president for policy, said that it was much higher under Obama than under former President George W. Bush. “The multiple did tend to be higher during Obama administration. Bush’s eight years averaged 20, while Obama’s almost-eight have averaged 29,” said his report..

This is a staggering amount of rules and regulations that Obama and his fascist regime have imposed on we-the-people.  Hopefully, Trump will make it a priority to roll back, and erase, some of these onerous, and frankly unconstitutional, rules and regulations that have cost us billions and billions of dollars.  Anyway, to read the rest of this article, click on the text above.

Thousands Sign Petition Demanding Hunter College to Fire Professor for Harassing Ivanka Trump

A petition is demanding that Hunter College fire Matthew Lasner, an associate professor of urban studies, after his husband accosted Ivanka Trump on a JetBlue flight. More than 8,000 people have signed the Change.org petition asking that Hunter College fire Lasner from his position due to his “immature and cruel harassment of Ivanka Trump and her family at JFK airport,” the Daily Mail reports. The petition was started by a group called “Right Wing Millennials.” “Someone like Mr. Lasner, who would harass a mother and her child simply trying to go about their day, does not deserve the honor of teaching,” reads the petition. “The fact that he tried to cover up and change the story around to avoid the consequences of his actions is also a testament to his character. He is NOT a good example for our youth,” the petition continues. Lasner and his husband Daniel Goldstein were asked to leave a JetBlue flight after Goldstein shouted at Ivanka, “Your father is ruining the country” before declaring that “She should be flying private,” Breitbart previously reported. “My husband expressed his displeasure in a calm tone, JetBlue staff overheard, and they kicked us off the plane,” Lasner wrote on Twitter. But an hour before the incident, Lasner, who is very vocal about his dislike for Trump, wrote on Twitter, “Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5, flying commercial. My husband chasing them down to harass them. #banalityofevil.” Lasner has since deleted the tweets and his account, but the backlash against him continues. People have given Lasner’s book on Amazon negative ratings shortly after the JetBlue incident.

I bet!  This lunatic should be fired not just for being an embarrassment to Hunter College for his poor manners and lack of professionalism, but for his idiocy.  In his breathtakingly rude, and unprovoked, rant against Ivanka (who was with her children sitting in coach on a JetBlue airline), this braintrust said, “your father is ruining the country.”  Huh?  The man has yet to sit in ANY political office.  Perhaps this so-called “professor” needs some education in basic American civics…and someone to tell him that Obama has been the President the last 8 years; not Donald Trump.  What a moron..  Yeah..  If you’re so motivated, go sign that petition.

Suspect Dead After Targeting Armed Georgia Gun Store Owner

An armed, Mableton, Georgia, gun store owner shot and killed one of two suspects who allegedly ordered him to the floor Monday morning during a burglary gone wrong. The incident occurred at Dixie Gun and Pawn just as the store was opening for the day. According to Action News 5, store owner Jimmy Groover said that “two men wearing masks came in with guns drawn, demanding that he get on the floor, while shouting they were going to kill him.” But Groover was wearing a handgun on his hip, and according to Fox 13 Memphis, “Police said [Groover] pulled out his gun and fired, hitting one of the gunmen.” The suspects opened fire as well, and police arrived to find shattered glass and the body of the one of the two suspects lying on the floor. The second suspect fled the scene. Groover said his store has been robbed numerous times during the 30 years that his family has owned it, but this was the first time that people allegedly tried to rob it during business hours.

Kudos to Jimmy for doing what he had to do; putting that one maggot down.  Let’s hope the word gets out to into the community, and that the police find (and arrest) the second idiot.

Christians Most Persecuted Religious Group In the World, Study Says

Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world, with around 90,000 killed for their faith in 2016, the director of a leading religious study group has said. Massimo Introvigne, Director of the Centre for Studies on New Religions (Cesnur), told Vatican Radio that around half a billion Christians in the world are unable to express their faith completely freely, while around 90,000 – one every six minutes – died for their faith in the past year alone. Referring to statistics from the Centre for the Study of Global Christianity, Mr Introvigne said around 70 per cent of Christians murdered in 2016 died in tribal conflicts in Africa. These deaths were included, he said, because very often they involved Christians who refuse to take up arms for reasons of conscience. “The other 30 per cent, or 27,000, were killed in terror attacks, the destruction of Christian villages, or government persecution,” he added. He told Vatican Radio that the Catholic Church is currently considering possible sainthood for individual Christians killed in territories controlled by the Islamic State terror group. Some Christians, he said, had risked almost certain death by staying in these territories to give testament to their faith. The statistics, due to be released next month, do offer some hope, however, as the number of Christians killed is down from 105,000 in 2015 – although, Mr Introvigne points out, they remain the most persecuted religious group on the planet. In March, the Chaldean Bishop of Aleppo reported that in just five years of conflict, the Christian population of Syria has been reduced by two thirds from 1.5 million to just 500,000. The majority of those who remain, he added, live in areas controlled by the secular government of Bashar Assad as they flee Islamist rebels. The city of Aleppo finally fell to government forces earlier this month, but much of the city, including its three cathedrals, is in ruins.

Mysterious illness tied to marijuana use on the rise in states with legal weed

For more than two years, Lance Crowder was having severe abdominal pain and vomiting, and no local doctor could figure out why. Finally, an emergency room physician in Indianapolis had an idea. “The first question he asked was if I was taking hot showers to find relief. When he asked me that question, I basically fell into tears because I knew he had an answer,” Crowder said. The answer was cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, or CHS. It’s caused by heavy, long-term use of various forms of marijuana. For unclear reasons, the nausea and vomiting are relieved by hot showers or baths. “They’ll often present to the emergency department three, four, five different times before we can sort this out,” said Dr. Kennon Heard, an emergency room physician in Aurora, Colorado. He co-authored a study showing that since 2009, when medical marijuana became widely available, emergency room visits diagnoses for CHS in two Colorado hospitals nearly doubled. In 2012, the state legalized recreational marijuana. “It is certainly something that, before legalization, we almost never saw,” Heard said. “Now we are seeing it quite frequently.” Outside of Colorado, when patients do end up in an emergency room, the diagnosis is often missed. Partly because doctors don’t know about CHS, and partly because patients don’t want to admit to using a substance that’s illegal. CHS can lead to dehydration and kidney failure, but usually resolves within days of stopping drug use. That’s what happened with Crowder, who has been off all forms of marijuana for seven months. “Now all kinds of ambition has come back. I desire so much more in life and, at 37 years old, it’s a little late to do it, but better now than never,”he said. CHS has only been recognized for about the past decade, and nobody knows exactly how many people suffer from it. But as more states move towards the legalization of marijuana, emergency room physicians like Dr. Heard are eager to make sure both doctors and patients have CHS on their radar.

Carrie Fisher had wrapped ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ prior to death

Carrie Fisher’s legacy will live on in the next “Star Wars” movie — which has already wrapped shooting and is now in post-production, according to reports. Sources told Variety that the actress had already finished all her work on “Episode VIII” before her death Tuesday. The film is slated to be released in December 2017. It is the eighth movie in the franchise and Fisher’s fifth in which she takes up her famous role as Princess Leia. “Star Wars” producers won’t ultimately have to address her death until they begin shooting “Episode IX,” which was also expected to feature the actress, who at this point in the series was Gen. Leia Organa. One route producers could take would be to use a combination of live action and digital effects to resurrect her character, much like they did — SPOILER ALERT — with her and iconic “Grand Moff Tarkin” actor Peter Cushing in the newly released “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

Florida: Think sharks are scary? There’s a new critter swimming in Biscayne Bay

South Florida’s most aggressive invasive species has found a new way to grab headlines: slither atop a research platform in Biscayne Bay. Last month, a kayaker spied a 9-foot Burmese python wrapped around part of a platform more than a half mile offshore in Biscayne National Park usually inhabited by sunning cormorants. The sighting was a first for the park and another worrisome sign that the state’s out-of-control pythons are getting more adept at inhabiting the state’s salty fringes. In September, state wildlife biologists confirmed for the first time that the snakes are now breeding in the Keys. “It’s another raising of the notch in the war against pythons,” said University of Florida wildlife biologist Frank Mazzotti. “When you actually see something like this, how often does it occur that you don’t see it?” Swimming snakes are not unheard of. A 2015 study by the U.S. Geological Society tracking pythons for five years found they lived in both freshwater marshes and mangroves around Cape Sable. Scientists suspect at least some of the adult snakes that started breeding in Key Largo swam there. Finding a snake on a platform just confirms the snakes are equally comfortable in open water, Mazzotti said. “To find one swimming is not surprising and it probably, in the course of swimming, spied that platform and said, ‘Ah, this is a good place to get out in the sun,’” he said. It also means the snakes could make their way to islands inhabited by birds or other small mammals and occasional turtle nests. Six of the park’s islands, including Mangrove Key and the Arsenickers about five miles to the south, annually attract nesting birds, mostly cormorants but also herons, egrets, ibises and roseate spoonbills. And any island big enough to support mammals could be a target for pythons. The 2015 USGS study found the snakes tended to congregate around tree islands in the Everglades, where birds nest. A day after the kayaker reported the sighting on the platform — located north of the Mowry Canal and used by the South Florida Water Management District to monitor water quality — district python wrangler Bobby Hill snagged it, said park biologist Vanessa McDonough. The snake is now being used to educate the public about invasive species.

George Washington University History Majors No Longer Required to Take U.S. History

New requirements at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. have taken away the U.S. history requirement for history majors. As a result of a change in department requirements, history majors at George Washington University are no longer required to take a U.S. history course in order to graduate. Although professors claim that most students opt to take a U.S. history course voluntarily, it is now possible to receive a history degree from George Washington University without studying United States history. The change was made to “recruit students” to the major in the increasingly “globalized” world. Denver Brunsman, an associate professor of history at George Washington claimed that the change allows students to study history from an increasingly globalized perspective.

You really can’t make this stuff up, folks..

Starnes: Hey parents, malls are for commerce — not babysitting

Shoppers and shopkeepers across the nation were terrorized by rampaging mobs of teenage thugs and juvenile delinquents over the Christmas weekend. More than a dozen malls across the nation were either evacuated or completely shut down due to “large disturbances.” The two major malls in my hometown (Memphis) were among those rocked by violence. There was even a chaotic scene inside the Oak Court Mall — at what had been one of the most upscale malls in the Mid-South. There was no rhyme or reason to the violence. Police speculate that social media may have played a role. But there was a common denominator — most of the chaos was caused by unsupervised teenagers. And hardly anyone was arrested.  That needs to stop. It’s time for the police to crack down on lawlessness. There should be no more coddling. If teenagers disrupt commerce and cause mayhem, they should spend the night in jail. It’s time for these kids to learn that actions must have consequences. It’s also time for shopping malls to evict unsupervised and underage young people. It may not be popular with community activists, but anyone under the age of 18 without parental supervision has no business in a mall. Period.

While we’re not quite ready to go to that level, author Todd Starnes DOES have a good point.  Most of these thugs and losers were minors who weren’t there to shop and engage in commerce.  They were there to be disruptive…and it was premeditated.  Here in sunny Aurora, Colorado, there were over 500 maggots involved in the mayhem at the Aurora mall the other day (scroll down about 7 articles to read bout that one) , and only about a half dozen or so teens were arrested…including one 15 year old punk who thought it was smart to take a swing at an Aurora police officer.  Why weren’t there more?  These teens who were involved need to be identified, and shamed…and their parents should be held to account as well.
