American Victims of Illegal Alien Crime Urge Nation: ‘Reject Rubio’

American victims of illegal alien crime are urging Republican voters across the nation: “Reject Rubio.” The families who have had loved ones murdered, raped, maimed, and tortured to death by illegal criminal aliens warn that Rubio is “the single most egregious congressional promoter of open borders.” The letter details how Rubio promulgated “daily lies” to the American people about his border-opening 2013 immigration bill — a bill which would have granted amnesty to illegal alien sex offenders, gang members, and criminal convicts — but which Sen. Rubio described as “The Toughest Border Security & Enforcement Measures In U.S. History”. To this day, Rubio continues to support all of the major substantive policies outlined within that bill, including expanding immigration levels and granting citizenship — and, thereby, welfare access and voting privileges — to illegal aliens. “We do not want other families to die at the hands of illegal aliens,” the American victims of the nation’s open borders immigration policies write, “We want to end the massacre of innocents in exchange for enriching open border self-interest cartels. We are pleading with the Republican voter: Reject Rubio. Send a message to every politician in Washington D.C.: if you betray American citizens, you will never occupy the Oval Office.”

Very interesting..  There is NO doubt that Marco Rubio is VERY weak on the immigration issue, and his membership in that infamous “Gang of Eight” only makes it worse.  This takes it to a whole new level, though.

White House wants increase of Syrian refugees

The White House is quietly pushing for an increase in refugees from Syria, despite new concerns raised by state and county officials that federal help is often missing when they arrive. President Obama’s assistant for immigration policy told a task force set up by the National Association of Counties that the U.S. is eyeing a bigger role to help alleviate the growing crisis. “We want to make sure that we can increase our numbers of refugees that are able to settle here,” Felicia Escobar said. “The need globally is so, so, so massive right now, given all the displacement and conflict around the world, but we also know that we have to do it in a way that’s smart.” The issue has become a flashpoint in the presidential race and among governors who are concerned that Washington won’t properly vet the refugees to weed out terrorists. But locally, it’s an issue of money and support. Sean Conway, a county commissioner from Weld County in Greeley, Colo., said he has had to “fight” with the State Department to get promised services such as healthcare and interpreters. Worse, he added, “Many times we don’t even know that relocation is taking place until it’s going on.” By law, the administration can let in some 10,000 Syrian refugees a year, though fewer have been. There are an estimated 4.2 million Syrian refugees.

This is insanity!  Why on earth are we importing such a risk?!?  And, I’m sorry…but..  How is this OUR problem?!?  It’s not.  But, again, we see Obama caring about everyone BUT American citizens.  This is beyond dumb..

Things you didn’t know about Girl Scout cookies

Every year when Girl Scout cookie season rolls around, thousands of troops take to the streets with a very noble mission: to sell as many boxes of cookies as humanly possible. Girl Scout cookies are win-win: Girl Scout troops get to keep the proceeds as a much-needed source of revenue, and everybody else gets cookies. But even if you’ve never missed an opportunity to stock up on Thin Mints, we bet that there are some things you didn’t know about these popular cookies. Girl Scout cookies trace their roots all the way back to 1917, when an Oklahoma troop sold cookies as a fundraiser at their local high school. Five years later, scout magazine This American Girl published some cookie recipes for troops who wanted to fundraise, and in the 1930s the first official sales were held in major cities, and bakeries were licensed to produce cookies. Today, Girl Scout cookies are produced by two bakeries: ABC Bakers (a subsidiary of Interbake Foods, which is owned by George Weston Limited) and Little Brownie Bakers (a subsidiary of Keebler, which is owned by Kellogg’s). Even though there are some major differences between the cookies they produce (more on that later), the “core five” cookies are the same (albeit with different names, occasionally): Thin Mints, Trefoils or Shortbread, Samoas or Caramel deLites, Tagalongs or Peanut Butter Patties, and Do-si-dos or Peanut Butter Sandwiches. If your cookies are called Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, and Do-si-dos, they’re produced by Little Brownie; If they’re called Shortbread, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, and Peanut Butter Sandwiches, they’re produced by ABC. The only cookie name shared by both companies is Thin Mints. Once the cost of the cookies is repaid to the bakery, all of the net revenue raised through Girl Scout Cookie sales stays with the local councils and troops. They’re allowed to set their own goals on how the money is spent, from financing outings to events and museums to buying materials for community projects and maintaining camps and properties. So whether you call them Samoas or Caramel deLites, it’s hard to argue that buying Girl Scout cookies doesn’t support a good cause.

Melissa Harris-Perry out at MSNBC

Melissa Harris-Perry and MSNBC this morning confirmed that she won’t be returning to the cable network, after an email in which she denounced the network for pre-empting her show for election coverage was leaked to the New York Times on Friday. In a tweet Sunday morning, Harris-Perry wrote “Farewell #Nerdland. Inviting diverse new voices to table was a privilege. Grateful for years of support & criticism.” Nerdland is her nickname for fans of her wonkish weekend political program. On Friday, Harris-Perry refused to host MSNBC presidential campaign coverage in her shows timeslot this weekend. In the email she sent to staff she expressed displeasure with MSNBC for frequently preempting “MHP” for an election-coverage program called “Place For Politics.” I am not hungry for empty airtime, Harris-Perry wrote in the note. I care only about substantive, meaningful, and autonomous work. When we can do that, I will return not a moment earlier. On Friday, MSNBC called Harris-Perry’s complaints “really surprising, confusing and disappointing.” An MSNBC spokesman confirmed to reporters this morning that the channel is “parting ways” with Harris-Perry.

You know you’re a wacko when MSNBC, the most liberal network among the dominant liberal media elite, dumps you.  Melissa is truly dreadful; a self-righteous, arrogant, entitlement-mined, extreme liberal, black racist, elitist.  Where will she go now?  Can’t imagine any credible network picking her up.  She’ll probably end up like Dan Rather; blackballed and doing interviews of celebs and musicians over at that AXS network..   Guess we’ll see..  Good riddance Melissa!

Army soldiers can ‘self-identify,’ not face discrimination

The Army says soldiers can self-identify who they are and not face discrimination. The promise is contained in President Obama’s 2017 budget submission to Congress. In the Defense Department’s budget section on the Army, it states: “From the Secretary of the Army to the youngest private, the Army remains committed to ensuring the dignity and respect of Soldiers, civilians, and their families. A part of that respect is ensuring every Soldier and civilian has the opportunity to reach their highest potential. With the recent opening of all military occupations and positions to women, the Army will have access to a broader range of talent. The Army will provide every Soldier and civilian equal opportunities to rise to the level of their merit regardless of their gender, their race, or their self-identity.” The term “self-identity” was not contained in the sections on the other three military branches and was not found in the budgets for past years. Cynthia O. Smith, an Army spokeswoman at the Pentagon, told The Washington Times: “Treating all soldiers with dignity and respect is not a change in policy, it is a core value. Moreover, the language in the budget report is wholly consistent with past Army statements.” Some observers say the term refers to transgender persons. How the option to self-identify will change personnel policy is unclear. Some states now are debating laws on transgender people’s access to public bathrooms for women and men. The military is working to lift the ban on transgender troops, which presumedly would require regulations on proper access to bathrooms and showers. Regardless, “self identity” in the military is not popular among social conservatives. “That’s an opening for just about anything. Transgender, any faith or space alien,” said Robert Maginnis, a retired Army officer and critic of the Pentagon’s social agenda. “Before long, we’ll welcome anyone no matter their views or abilities. Be damned our readiness. That’s the progressives’ mantra.” The Times asked the Office of the Secretary of Defense if “self-identity” is contained in any new personnel policies. “The services may submit their budgetary proposals in language that they believe will allow us to understand their needs,” said spokesman Mark E. Wright. “OSD does not approve or disapprove this language. I refer you to the Army regarding their use of language.” Under Mr. Obama, the U.S. armed forces are occupied with a social revolution. The military has opened the ranks to open gays, launched a legal and bureaucratic war on sexual harassment, and this year will introduce women into ground combat units in infantry, armor and special operations. Eric Fanning is awaiting a Senate vote on his nomination as the next Army secretary, and confirmation would make him the first openly gay service secretary. Mr. Fanning had served as acting Army undersecretary. “It looks like Fanning is wasting no time in imposing LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] law on the Army, with transgender people being treated as a civil rights minority entitled to special rights,” said Elaine Donnelly, who runs the Center for Military Readiness. “Gender dysphoria requires treatment, in the same way that other conditions in which a person’s self-identify differs from reality deserve treatment. Full implementation could have serious consequences, especially among medical personnel who may be required to provide treatment that departs from prevailing medical ethics.” Regarding transgender individuals, the Pentagon announced this month it plans to extend health coverage for hormone therapy and mental health treatments, but not for surgeries. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has the military on a path to lift the ban on transgender people later this year, but no final decision has been made.

So, while Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, and other countries are building up their militaries, and the threats to America continue to grow, Obama’s minions at the Pentagon are twiddling their thumbs and focusing on how they can further erode the winning culture of our military with silliness like transgender issues.  Unreal..  The military is about fighting and winning wars and military conflicts; NOT focusing on touchy-feely, politically correct, social issues.

Facial, not racial: University boss walks back racism allegation over Snapchat pic

It wasn’t racial, it was just a facial. When two students at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater posted a picture on Snapchat wearing what appeared to be blackface, the school’s chancellor quickly – and publicly – condemned the photo. But days later, Beverly Kopper backed off when it was revealed the students were simply wearing skin care treatment masks. “Last night a disturbing racist post that was made to social media was brought to my attention,” Kopper said in a letter released on Thursday. “This post was hurtful and destructive to our campus community. While social media can certainly bring about positive change, it can also be a place that deeply hurts and harms others.” Kopper’s antennae was up following an unrelated racially-charged incident and complaints from some of the school’s black students. In her initial letter, she announced the formation of a faculty group for the purpose of meeting with students to work towards an “action plan” for combatting racism on campus. “Some of our multicultural and nontraditional students feel the environment on campus is not welcoming to all,” Kopper also wrote. “Over and over, the students in attendance expressed their need to be heard and for campus to do more than just talk.” But in an interview with Madison-based TV station WISC last week, Kopper said the unidentified students in the Snapchat photo were just posting a selfie after getting facials and did not mean any harm.

Oops!  This Beverly isn’t the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, is she?  When you live by political correctness, you die by political correctness.

VP Biden Apologizes to Mexico for GOP Nominee Comments

CNN reports that on Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden spoke in Mexico City and “came close to offering an apology for comments made by Republicans about Mexico and Mexican immigrants on the campaign trail.” “I almost feel obliged to apologize for some of what my political colleagues said,” Biden said alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. “It’s a heated campaign season and I just want you to know, Mr. President, that the most heated rhetoric you’ve heard from competitors for the nomination for president is not who we are as the American people. It is not the view that is the view of the majority of the American people. It’s the exact opposite. It’s the opposite view.” But in 2007, Biden called Mexico a “dysfunctional society.” “Joe Biden shared his views on illegal immigration with an Iowa crowd, saying that the solution starts with big changes in the Mexican economy. ‘They’re being irresponsible. This is the second-wealthiest nation in the hemisphere – we’re not talking about Sierra Leone,’ the Democratic presidential candidate said. ‘This is a dysfunctional society.’ In 2001, Biden said something similar about Mexico and Colombia. “If you study any of these countries you realize that they end up where they are in large part because of dysfunctional systems they have, because of dysfunctional societies relating to access to opportunity within those societies.”

Biden is such an idiot!!  But, hey..   He’s Obama’s sidekick.  So, I guess he’s following his boss’ lead.  Also, he’s such a hypocrite!!

Alabama passes law barring cities and towns from increasing minimum wage

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley signed a bill Thursday barring cities and towns from setting their own minimum wage just as Birmingham was set to raise it to $10.10. The legislation’s passage came after the Birmingham City Council voted to increase the city’s minimum wage, according to AL.com. The block drew criticism from Birmingham council leader Jonathan Austin who said “we will continue to work together to stand and fight for our citizens.” “It’s certainly is unfortunate, if it stands up, it is a loss for those who deserve to earn a livable wage in the city of Birmingham, and, for that matter, the state of Alabama,” Austin said. “But the state obviously disagrees.” Bentley signed the bill less than an hour after it was passed, AL.com reported. Alabama has no state minimum wage and has used the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour since 2009 when it was last raised. The Guardian noted that a full-time employee who works for the entire year will only earn $15,080 per year. State senator Jabo Waggoner, R-Vestavia Hills, argued Thursday that an increased minimum wage would stall economic development in the state. He claims business owners contacted him and asked him if they would have to close up shop because of a possible increased minimum wage, according to The Guardian. “We want businesses to expand and create more jobs – not cut entry-level jobs because of a patchwork of local minimum wages causes operating costs to rise. Our actions today will create predictability and consistency for Alabama’s economy, which benefits everyone,” Waggoner said. Alabama Democrats have said the federal minimum wage is too low for the working poor with families to survive on.

Good for Alabama!  Very smart move.

U.S. running out of time to modernize nuclear forces

The commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, Adm. Cecil Haney, said Friday that America can no longer delay modernizing its strategic forces. With the U.S. Air Force extending the B-52’s lifespan into the 90 year range, until 2040, this seems like an understatement. “Modernization now is not an option” — it must happen. We have to realize we can’t extend things forever. We’re at the brick wall stage,” quoted Associated Press. It’s not just the bomber force that is aging beyond a reasonable lifespan, the intercontinental missile force is also getting up in years, as well as naval ballistic submarines. Although the military says the weapons are safe, reliable and effective, commanders are approaching the time when they may not be able to say that if new programs are not put in place soon to modernize U.S. strategic forces. Robert Work, the deputy secretary of defense, said the Pentagon will need an estimated $18 billion a year between 2021 and 2035 to modernize the three “legs” of the U.S. nuclear triad — weapons capable of being launched from land, sea and air. “We need to replace these,” Work said. “We can’t delay this anymore,” AP reported. The cost for this modernization will be immense, tens of billions of dollars. The Air Force has recently awarded the contract for a hundred new bombers, dubbed the B-21. The Navy is looking at a new class of ballistic missile subs. However, the Minuteman missile, on continuous alert since 1970, was designed with a ten year lifespan. Recently, the USAF successfully tested a Minuteman which delivered its payload on target in the Pacific.

There is absolutely NO doubt that we need to invest a LOT more into our military.  To remotely suggest otherwise should offend the intellect of a chihuahua.  Here at The Daily Buzz we’ve been, from day one, calling on our federally elected officials to not only double that part of the federal budget allocation for the Dept of Defense, but to probably triple it.  Same for the space program; both civilian (i.e. NASA) and military (i.e. the Air Force’s Space Command, and the U.S. Army’s “Space & Missile Defense Command” also called “SMDC”).   Unfortunately, our Moron-in-Chief has been gutting our military to pre-WWII levels, and that’s just foolish.  It’s dangerous given all of the threats we face.  China, Russia, and even N. Korea have been very open about their aggression and are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at their military programs…while our ICBM program hasn’t been modernized since 1970.  To put that into some perspective.. Richard Nixon was still President.  And, until very recently, our soldiers were using M-16 rifles; rifles that came into service during Vietnam…and were made by Matel; a toy company.  No joke!  It’s recent successor, the M-4 is just a slight update to that.  And then there is that pesky crazy middle east with all of those Islamo-fascist lunatics..with Iran leading the pack.  If we are to survive into the next century as a nation, we need to be prepared to address these threats that aren’t going away.  There is a reason that Russia and China are being so aggressive in their words and actions.  It’s because they see us a weak.  And, they’re not wrong.  Our next President had better change that perception.
