California restaurant bans crying children

California restaurant bans crying children

How great is this?!  lol  Its been a while since I was in Monterey.  But, next time I’m there, I’ll definitely have to stop by the Old Fisherman’s Grotto.  With so many unruly and undisciplined kids today, how can ya blame the owner of this (or any other) restaurant for posting policies like this?  Going out on the town in Monterey is an EXPENSIVE proposition, and people want to have a nice dinner and not have to hear someone else’s kids making all sorts of noise while they eat.  I can appreciate that.  And hey, if ya don’t like it, you can go always somewhere else, and give another restaurant the business.  That’s the beauty of America; freedom and choices.  And, that freedom goes both ways.  The owner of the restaurant should have EVERY right to serve, or NOT serve, whomever he/she wants.  And, according to the owner, he isn’t banning kids; just the unruly, crying, loud ones.  Fair enough.

U.S. troops told not to eat, drink in front of Muslims during Ramadan

U.S. troops told not to eat, drink in front of Muslims during Ramadan

This is so outrageous and offensive, its hard to put into words.  Its one thing to get your cultural training, pamphlets and so on when you go to another country.  Those of us who have been there, and done that, have gone through that.  No big deal.  We endeavor to build bridges, and be respectful of our hosts, when in their country.  But, for a Brigade Commander (full colonel) to tell his troops that are here “stateside” to be culturally sensitive to Muslims in AMERICA and not eat in their presence?  Huh?  Are you kidding me?!  When was the last time a commander admonished troops to learn about, and be more tolerant of, Christians?  I’ve never heard such a thing.  This is just more political correctness being forced upon the military.  COL Glasz should be relieved of his command for this embarrassingly poor judgment call on his part.  Unreal..

Greg Gutfeld Explains His Gay Bar Proposal to Glenn Beck

Greg Gutfeld Explains His Gay Bar Proposal to Glenn Beck

This youtube video is hilarious!!  Its a few years old.  But, a friend sent it to me, and I just HAD to post it.  You may recall a few years ago when an Muslim group wanted to build a mosque near Ground Zero in NYC right where 9/11 happened.  It was a breathtakingly offensive notion and was an affront to the families of those who died on 9/11.  Greg Gutfeld offers HIS proposal of how we should have responded to that group.  Excellent!!     🙂

Marine Le Pen takes poll lead in race for next French presidential election

Marine Le Pen takes poll lead in race for next French presidential election

This is actually HUGE news in France;  a country historically known for being off the charts socialist.  They riot in Paris when they don’t have months and months of vacation.  But, that laziness has finally caught up with them, and the people are coming to their collective senses, realizing that gosh..socialism doesn’t work…something that Obama doesn’t get.  So, the pendulum is swinging the other direction to the right.  That said, Le Pen’s “National Front” party really is not as “far right” as the very socialist/liberal European media would have you believe.  Yeah, they’re for a bit harsher law enforcement than France is normally accustomed to.  And, NF is for cracking down on illegal immigration (imagine that!).  But, they support Israel’s right to defend itself, and see Iran as a potential threat.  Makes sense to me!  And Marine and her NF party support the current socialized (i.e. government run) health care, education, and transportation industries/sectors of society.  So, hardly a “far right” party, if ya stop and think about it.  Marine is very charismatic and popular.  And with Nick Sarkozy struggling with charges of corruption, this might be Marine’s moment.  Stay tuned…

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox make Historic Trade

St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox make Historic Trade

Allen Craig has been having a rough year..  I remember how he helped the Cards win the World Series back in 2011.  It was a VERY exciting, and nail-biting, series.  I was on active duty playing Army at the time, and living in hotels.  But, yeah.. Its been a rough year for him, and honestly he is one swing at bat away from being back on the DL.  So, I understand that.  This is a good deal for St. Louis.  And, this big trade apparently didn’t detract the Cards from winning their game on the road today where they beat the Padres in San Diego 6-2.  Go Cardinals!!   🙂

Montgomery Alabama Hits Record Lows

Montgomery Alabama Hits Record Lows

Someone needs to send this to Bill Weir over at CNN, and see if he goes off on another profanity-laced tirade, lol.  We’ve been seeing more and more stories like this.  All over the country we’re hearing about record low temperatures this summer, and documenting those record lows here at The Daily Buzz.  Strangely, no comment yet from global warming alarmists Obama, John Kerry, or Al Gore on why this might be.  We’ll let ya know if they weigh in..   🙂

Wisconsin Supreme Court upholds collective bargaining crackdown, in victory for Walker

Wisconsin Supreme Court upholds collective bargaining crackdown, in victory for Walker

Yes!!!  Excellent!!!  Great news, and BIG victory for workers in Wisconsin!!  Now, those who are in unions won’t be subjected to automatic union dues being withdrawn out of their paychecks without consent, among other things.  Act 10 is absolutely constitutionally sound and reigns in thuggish unions in Wisconsin just a little.  And, hopefully the federal courts will uphold this court’s decision on the voter ID law there requiring a photo ID when voting, something that is eminently reasonable.  Excellent!!!  🙂
