I’ve been saying for at least two years that we need to NOT cut back on funding for space, but rather double or triple our funding for space. And between our falling out with Russia, and the growing space threat from China… Its time we got our act together and make space a priority.
So much wasted effort.. I was there in Afghanistan when things were really ramping up in the counter-narcotics area. Its all part of that threat financing; the correlation between spring harvest of the poppy fields, to where the profits go…to arms and funding of organizations like the Taliban and Al Qaeda. By pulling out so prematurely, we’re letting things go back to normal in the poppy fields…which is SO stupid. Again, the fact that Obama didn’t secure a “status of forces agreement” in Afghanistan is mind-boggling dumb. Hopefully we’ll get a second chance to do that with the new President…once that’s decided in their upcoming run-off election. Its critical we get that agreement in place…or all we fought for will have been for nothing.
Here is another story about this for those who have been asking about it..
No words.. Just read this..
This whole thing is ridiculous, and drives me bonkers. The Army (and the other military services) should have uniformity for how women wear their hair. And, from looking at this photo, it looks like one of the examples of what NOT to do is for a white or Hispanic female. So, black women in the Army aren’t being singled out, that I can tell. Whatever the standard is should be the same across the board. And, if that means that certain styles used by predominantly one race can no longer be worn/had, then so be it. For Hagel to get on bended knee before the CBC is nauseating. The military is about uniformity and standards. Its no place for political correctness.
Corruption has always been a problem in Afghanistan. And, if we cannot have a good quality control process in place as it relates to the use of OUR tax-payer funds, then we need to pull back on any financing efforts.
