This is so excellent!
I’m no expert on this subject. But, I know some folks who are, and all of them think that common core is a bad idea. The way I see it, according to that pesky 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution… the federal government has NO business being involved in education. It should be left up to the different states to figure out how they want to deal with that issue/topic. Ever since then Pres. Jimmy Carter the U.S. Dept of Education, and made it a cabinet level position, education in this country has just gone downhill..and all the while, spending of federal dollars (i.e. our hard earned tax dollars) has gone up and up.
I’m hardly shocked. I would have been MORE shocked if Obama actually said definitive, stern, straightforward language without all the legalistic equivocating. But, hes a lawyer, and can’t help it. And, he continues to come across as weak and inept. But, Charles has a good point about the message it sends to the people in Ukraine and in Russia. As usual, Charles is spot on.
Yeah…that’s what most mom’s do at the grocery store.. They sit there reading all the nutrition government labels. Yep. I see that ALL the time, Michelle. Where do these people come from?!
DOH! Sarah was spot on..and the media made fun of her; made her into some sort of caricature. I think, “I told you so” doesn’t quite cut it..
Voter fraud is a HUGE problem. And, when some high profile politician like the Vice President plays the race card to silence the discussion…then the problem only gets worse.
Busted! I think he got off easy, personally..
GEN Alexander is exactly right. Glad he had an opportunity one more time to make his case for the need for more investment in Cyber Command. It along with the rest of the intelligence community needs our support. I know its pc and trendy to beat up on them. But, now more than ever we need the best intel we can possibly get…especially when they’re talking about cutting the size of the Army down to pre-WWII level…which is simply stupid.
Oh, I’m sure Vlad is just shaking in his boots. The last time Obama talked “tough” was when he drew that “line” over chemical weapons usage by Syria. And exactly what did he do when that line got crossed? That’s right. NOTHING. So, empty words have their consequences. Again, for those “tough” words to have any teeth, we need to send Naval and Air Force assets to the region and put them IN Ukraine to show solidarity with the interim pro-Western government trying; something Vlad and his Russian forces are already trying to undermine and dismantle.
Its absolutely relevant! And while good, honest people can have compelling, and valid reasons for debating the abortion issue…to just dismiss the notion of when life begins as not relevant to that debate is either intellectually dishonest (and in her case, self serving), OR inhuman. I suspect its probably both.. Shes awful..
